Chapter 182
Dear Ex-wife Marry Me Novel Full Episode
Chapter 182
Maja suddenly felt so uneasy that she almost automatically took her hand away from Maureenâs.
But Maureen didnât let go. She just gazed puzzledly at Rita.
Ritaâs face was pale, she looked first at Ryan, then at Maja, and finally stopped at the two hands that
were being held. She knew Ms. Raymond. She had planned to visit Ms. Raymond the night before and
had even spent her salary on a suitable gift. But because of Ryanâs call, she had to return home first.
Rita knew she wasnât Ryanâs social equal, but she really liked Ryan, and Ryan was good to her.
But what was going on now?
Ryanâs mom was holding hands with Ryan and Penny?
Wasnât Penny already married?
Penny even had an improper relationship with Mr. Raymond and from the looks of it, she was still
Ryanâs girlfriend.
The relationship was so messed up that Rita was disgusted.
She had always considered Maja a friend, but it turned out that Maja had been deceiving her the entire
time!
Thinking back to when Maja comforted her by saying that Ms. Raymond, as a woman, wouldnât be
harsh to other women, Rita couldnât imagine what Maja was thinking when she said that.
Rita felt humiliated. Tears welled up in her eyes and started to stream down her face.
Even so, she had to unveil Majaâs true colors.
She strode up and slapped Ryan across his face, crying and cursing, âYou jerk!â
After shouting, she turned to Maja, raising her hand to slap her as well.
But Maja blocked her hand and managed to pull her hand away from Maureenâs grip.
Rita was crying uncontrollably, and she was at a loss for words.
Maja understood Ritaâs feelings, but she was also dragged into this by Ryan, so there was no need for
Rita to slap her too.
She looked at Ryan. As his girlfriend, he should explain what was going on.
But before Ryan could say anything, Maureen had already regained her composure and asked in a
calm voice.
âWho is this?â
Perhaps her voice was too steady. Rita felt like she had found someone who could help her. She raised
her hand and rubbed her eyes, weeping and saying, âMy lady, Iâm Ryanâs girlfriend. Wasnât Penny
already married? How could she be Ryanâs girlfriend? And she had an improper relationship with Mr.
Raymond. Are Ryan and Mr. Raymond both dating her at the same time? That makes me feel so
sickâ¦â
Rita couldnât stop crying, choking on her sobs. She felt utterly humiliated.
Thinking back to how she had taken care of Maja the night before, she wondered if Maja had been
laughing at her all along.
She was no match for these people.
Rita didnât dare to look into Maureenâs eyes and walked towards her home, still crying.
Finally, Ryan came to his senses and hurried after her, catching up with Rita.
âRita, Penny and I arenât like that.â
Rita was sobbing, trying to shake off his hand but was also reluctant to let go.
After witnessing the whole scene, Maureenâs face turned gloomy, and her gaze at Maja was no longer
as gentle.
Maja also sensed her change in mood and sighed inwardly.
Maureen looked at Maja, smiled lightly but her attitude had obviously turned cold.
âPenny, letâs all go inside and have a good chat.â
Maja didnât dare to refuse and stepped aside to let Ms. Raymond enter.
Maureen walked in first, followed by Ryan who was holding the still sobbing Rita. Maja walked in last
and closed the door.
She wasnât in control of the situation, and Maureen was a formidable woman, Everyone present would
probably be remembered
by her.
As the hostess, Maja went to get some drinks.
Maureen sat upright with an air of negotiation, âTell me, everything.
Ryan was the first to respond, pulling Rita to sit in front of her.
âMom, this is my girlfriend Rita. Penny is my cousinâs interior designer. The reason I brought her to
meet you was because I had no other choice.â
Maureen, when not smiling, had a strong presence, being a member of the Raymond family after all.
Hearing Ryanâs words, she turned her gaze to Maja.
âThere were plenty of opportunities to explain this, werenât there?â
After saying that, Maureen also stood up.
âPenny, just pretend I didnât tell you what I said before. Youâre a capable girl. As for Ryan, youâre going
to the Raymond Corporation this afternoon.â
She didnât mention Rita.
