But Maureen simply whipped out her phone and dialed Holden’s number.

“Dad, can you give me Mrs. lar’s number? I need to reach her right now.”

She had never met lan’s wife, but Holden had spoken highly of her, so she figured she must be a

decent woman.

Now that someone was openly bothering lan, his wife should step in.

Besides, lan had allowed Maja to wait in his office, indicating that he cared for her.

It was high time someone gave lan a reality check. He was a married man, and if this mess reached

Holden, the rest of the Raymond family might do something regrettable.

If lan hadn’t admitted to losing control once, Maureen would never believe he was capable of such

behavior.

Holden had no clue what was going on. No one from the Raymond family had ever asked for Maja’s

number, nor had Maureen inquired about it.

She stood up, didn’t even glance at Maja, and walked out of the office to the conference room.

The meeting was abruptly halted, and upon hearing that Holden wanted him, lan frowned and quickly

returned to his office.

When he saw Maja, he seemed to know why she was there.

“If it’s urgent, wait for me at my hotel tonight.”

He wasn’t yet aware of why Holden had summoned him, so he might not be able to return to the office

tonight.

His words were a mere statement, but it made Maureen feel quite uncomfortable when she heard it

from the doorway. Initially, she thought Holden was overreacting, but now she felt that Holden did need

to give lan a good dressing down. Maja was still clueless about what was going on. When she left the
