Maja froze, unable to deny it.

“Tyler.”

She whispered his name, then briskly walked past him and headed out.

Tyler noticed the marks on her, the Greenfield Gardens blueprints clutched in her hand, her red–

rimmed eyes, and her trembling fingertips. She looked like she’d been bullied.

“Penny.”

He called out to her.

Maja’s steps halted at his snide tone, “Was lan that rough?”

Maja’s shoulders shivered slightly, Pretending not to hear, she lowered her head and quickened her

pace.

Tyler chuckled softly, hitting the elevator close button.

He made his way to the penthouse and knocked on lan’s door.

It took three minutes before lan finally opened up.

Tyler first surreptitiously sniffed around the room, not detecting any odd smells.

“lan, if I were to gather everyone right now and tell them that you tried to force yourself on a married

woman, do you think they’d believe me?”

lan, now in his silk pajamas, looked even taller and exuded an air of elegance. He didn’t want to

discuss the matter, which only piqued Tyler’s interest further.

“I just ran into Penny in the elevator; she was as pale as a ghost.”

At this, lan’s pen hand paused.

Tyler had a quiet laugh to himself before settling down seriously.

“Did you really do it? Come on, Carlene’s back now. If you’re just looking for female company, you’ve

got a woman ready. Why go after someone else’s wife? Doesn’t that feel filthy?”

Although some people had a taste for women who were already taken, that sort of fetish was generally

looked down upon.

lan didn’t respond; he simply signed the document in front of him and gently pushed it across.

“Take it.”

He had arranged to meet Tyler tonight, an accomplished scriptwriter. There was a script, and the

Raymond Corporation was a diversified operation with luxury stores, hotels, cars, amusement parks,

tourist spots, and more.

It dipped its fingers in about ten industries, but the hottest field of entertainment was one the Raymond

Corporation hadn’t

invested in.

His meeting with Tyler tonight was to look at this script of his.

Tyler’s scripts were popular, and he was hoping to get funding for them. With a required investment of

30 million dollars, naturally, he’d think about his good friend.

To lan, 30 million dollars was a small sum.

Tyler picked up the document and raised an eyebrow after seeing that his investment had been

approved.

“So, if I hadn’t shown up tonight, I’d have missed the show, huh? You sure you’re okay? Should I call

Carlene?”

lan’s face instantly darkened. He got up and stormed into his bedroom, slamming the door behind him.

Tyler sat on the sofa and laughed for a while. This must’ve been the first time lan had been ridiculed,

right?

A few minutes later, Tyler’s eyes narrowed slightly lan probably didn’t truly have special feelings for

Penny; he had always held high moral standards when it came to relationships. Just like when he was

with Carlene back then, he never crossed the line.

Maybe because he was so used to the single life, the first time he developed feelings for someone, he

must’ve been a little

more conscious about it.

Regardless of gender, everyone cared about their first love.

Especially men, no matter how many women they have later on, they’ll always remember the

excitement their first woman brought them.

It’s just like the feeling ordinary people get when they taste gourmet food for the first time.

Tyler grabbed the files and yelled into the room.
