“Where the hell is Maja? Get her ass here now!”

Selena was seriously pissed off today; her face was all stern and severe.

If anything happened to lan, Maja wouldn’t be able to make it right, no matter what she did.

Maria was kinda scared of Selena too. She could be a real bully at times and not even show any

respect to Ms. Pennyfeather.

“Ms. Casson, Ms. Pennyfeather isn’t back yet.”

Hearing that, Selena got even more fired up.

“She’s married and still isn’t back. Is she off meeting some other man? What’s the time now? It’s almost

11 PM! lan’s been away for three years; who knows if she’s been stabbing the Raymond family in the

back? If something like that ever happened, I’d make the whole Pennyfeather family regret it!”

Maria was worried that Selena might blame Maja for Mr. Raymond’s allergic reaction. After all, Mr.

Raymond had the reaction outside before he returned to Rosewood Manor; it clearly had nothing to do

with the Manor.

“Ms. Casson, Ms. Pennyfeather’s dog hasn’t been around here lately.”

To protect Maja, Maria had to lie.

Selena responded with a cold sneer, “Don’t think I don’t know who you’re covering for. Helping Maja

won’t do you any good. Sooner or later, she’s

gonna divorce lan. We just feel sorry for her because Holden’s not well and we’re letting her stay in this

house for a while longer. You’re a maid; just do your job and stop playing smart.”

Selena sat down, “Get Maja back here. I wanna see her tonight. Ian definitely had an allergic reaction

because of her dog. She has to get rid of that dog.”

Maria really liked Maja and Coco, and she started getting pissed off upon hearing Selena’s words.

But Selena was right; she was just a maid, and she shouldn’t interfere in the Raymond family’s

business.

She immediately called Maja.

Maja was still at the pet hospital. Coco’s surgery was not yet over and the doctor just told her that the

anesthesia hadn’t worn off. “Ms. Maria.”

Hearing her voice, Maria also lowered her voice.

“Ms. Pennyfeather, how’s Coco? I’m sorry, it’s all my fault.”

Maja rubbed her eyebrows, feeling quite tired.

“Coco is still in surgery.”

“Ms. Casson came; she wants you to get back here now. She said you need to get rid of Coco. Mr.

Raymond had a severe allergic reaction when he came to Rosewood Manor.”

Maja frowned. Even if lan was allergic, it was due to Carlene’s cat. What the hell did it have to do with

Coco?

Selena was obviously making things difficult for her by using lan’s allergy as an excuse to target her.

Her face turned serious.

“Tell her, I am not coming back tonight. And lan’s allergy was caused by accompanying Carlene to the

pet hospital; it has nothing. to do with my Coco. If she doesn’t believe it, there’s nothing I can do.”

Maria heard Maja’s tone becoming more assertive; she knew Maja was getting pissed off too.

Maja wasn’t without a temper; she was just holding it in all this while.

“Ms. Pennyfeather, you should come back for a bit. I can go to the hospital to check on Coco. Mr.

Raymond is upstairs with a fever, and Ms. Casson is waiting downstairs.”

“Maria, you can ignore her. You’re Holden’s person. She can only badmouth you. Even if she’s pissed

off, she won’t hit you.”

Maria found this quite amusing. She wasn’t worried about getting hit; she was worried about the

relationship between Maja and Ms. Casson.

If they really ended up divorcing, Holden would definitely be devastated.

After hanging up, she turned to Selena.

“Ms. Casson, Ms. Pennyfeather is still busy with work. She said Mr. Raymond’s allergy was caused by

him accompanying Ms.

Shepard to the pet hospital, not because of the dog hair at home.”

Selena was taken aback. lan went to the pet hospital with Carlene?
