Chapter 309
Dear Ex-wife Marry Me Novel Full Episode
Chapter 309
Maja felt Connieâs eyes burning into her neck, which was kind of weird.
âYou got something on your mind?â
Connie quickly shifted her gaze.
âNah, how you feeling?â
Did you cry last night?
lan actuallyâ¦
Maja felt a bit puzzled, then chuckled.
âIâm a little under the weather, but Iâll survive.â
Connie blushed even more.
âGood to hear.â
After Maja shut the door, changed into fresh clothes, and stepped out, Connie was still waiting.
They walked together to the other side of the hallway, where a woman was tightly wrapped in clothing,
held by a bodyguard, surrounded by a crowd.
Her legs were shaking. Clearly, she had gone through some stuff last night.
The onlookers were buzzing.
âNever thought sheâd pull a stunt like this.â
âShe must be Penny, always leading men on, even the bodyguards. Heard they hooked up in Carleneâs
room, which pissed Carlene off.â
âToo bad lanâs still in a meeting and clueless about this.â
The womanâs head was tightly wrapped in the bodyguardâs jacket, trembling nonâstop. Carlene,
hearing the chatter, frowned.
Last night, she had Dana bribe the waiter to spike Pennyâs drink.
After Penny downed the spiked drink, she had Dana tail her, hoping to catch Pennyâs drunken antics on
tape.
But Dana never returned, and Carlene spent the night somewhere else with the socialites.
When she woke up and returned to her room, she heard moaning from a man and woman inside.
Looks like they had spent the whole night there.
She put on a show of being shocked, and soon enough, everyone on the third floor gathered outside
her door.
Inside the room, Dana, still harassed, felt like crying. She only wanted to tail Penny but ended up in this
room with a druggedâup bodyguard who wouldnât listen to a word she said.
Hearing the gossip outside, she was scared to death. She was toast if people found out she was here,
especially in front of so many people.
She looked terrible, but then she heard Carleneâs voice outside.
âIs that Penny in there? You seemed off last night. Are you okay?â
Then everyone started talking about Penny.
They all knew Penny was at the pool last night, but then she seemed to have left. They thought she
had left the mansion early, not knowing she was here with a bodyguard.
âSheâs got no shame, even though sheâs a wellâknown designer; lan probably wonât dare to let her
design his house now.â
âAmong all these rich youngsters, she chose a bodyguard. Suits her reputation.â
âNo one else would touch her with a tenâfoot pole.â
Everyone burst into laughter.
Meanwhile, Dana had come up with a plan. She quickly ordered the sober bodyguard to cover her
head with his clothing, ready to
make a run for it.
Since Penny had already left the mansion, everyone would think she was Penny. This way, her
reputation wouldnât be tarnished.
The one with the bodyguard would be seen as the despicable Penny.
Feeling relieved, Dana barked orders at the bodyguard.
âFrom now on, you call me Penny. Whether you know who Penny is or not, just call me that. Otherwise,
Iâll call the cops, and youâll spend the rest of your life in jail!â
The bodyguard was scared. He had just casually sipped a drink from Sandy last night and never
thought it would turn out like this. He didnât resist and nodded right away.
He used his jacket to cover Dana, hiding her identity.
The moment the door opened, everyone outside was ready for a spectacle.
Carlene was especially amused.
âPenny, if you want to shack up with the bodyguard, at least donât take my room. Good thing I didnât
come back last night. Otherwise, it wouldâve been awkward.â
Everyone started speculating why Carlene didnât return to her room
Did she go to lanâs room?
