Chapter 33
Dear Ex-wife Marry Me Novel Full Episode
Chapter 33
lan paused his document scanning, his brows furrowing as confusion flickered in his eyes,
Maureen smirked, âDidnât Ryan even tell youâ
¡ you?â
She knew Ryan was somewhat afraid of lan, but she didnât expect him to keep his girlfriend a secret
from his cousin.
âThat boy always claims heâs too busy for a girlfriend. If you appreciated that girlâs design, she must be
alright, and sheâs pretty cute too.â
âYou mean Penny?â lan furrowed his brows. Wasnât she already married?
Maureen chuckled, âExactly Iâm actually quite pleased with Ryanâs choice of girlfriend this time. Since
youâll be working together, do me a favor and donât make her life difficult. She might just become part of
the family.â
lanâs expression turned frosty. âDonât worry, Iâll behave.â
Maureen departed, with lan accompanying her to his private elevator. Suddenly, she stopped as if
remembering something. âIan, now that Ryanâs situation is sorted out, you should consider your own.
We barely know this Ms. Penny feather; we donât even know what she looks like. But if your
grandfather likes her, she must have some merits. Why not try spending some time with her?â
âThereâs no chance of anything happening.â
Knowing lan well, Maureen understood he was serious, so she put her sunglasses back on. âTake care
of your health; donât skip meals all the time. Your stomach issues are becoming serious.â
A resigned look crossed lanâs face. âI know.â
After bidding farewell to Maureen, he returned to his office. Jeff arrived with a cup of coffee, witnessing
lanâs icy expression and couldnât help but ask, âTrouble with Mr. Elston again?â
lan snorted, âNot exactly trouble. Heâs just infatuated with a married woman.â
Jeffâs lips twitched. He knew Ryan was a playboy, but falling for a married woman was a new low.
lanâs expression darkened. Ryan may be young and foolish, but what was the womanâs excuse? Didnât
she always claim to love her husband?
Lowering his gaze, he noticed the message he had sent to his wife in name only the previous night. He
frowned, setting a precise meeting time.
[12 oâclock sharp)
Maja bád just stepped out of Ryanâs car when her phone buzzed. She checked her phone and
remembered that today was the day she and lan were supposed to discuss divorce.
âMr. Elston, thank you.â
Ryan leaned out of the car window, grinning broadly. âGoodbye. Consider me a friend.ââ
Maja smiled and entered the apartment building. Behind her, a weak voice called out, âMaja.â
Maja turned to see Tricia standing under a nearby tree, looking pale. She hadnât noticed her before as
she stood in a blind spot.
âTricia, why are you out of the hospital?â
Tricia coughed lightly, puzzled. Who was the stranger that had just dropped Maja off? Although he
drove a millionâdollar car and was fairly goodâlooking, she was sure hej wasnât lan. She had once
caught a glimpse of lan from afar and found him as unforgettable as a character in a painting. The man
she saw just now didnât compare.
âI asked my father to arrange for my discharge. I wanted to recover at home. Maja, arenât you going to
the Pennyfeather family dinner tonight? Have you forgotten itâs my! birthday?â
Maja wasnât entirely sure about Triciaâs attitude toward her. She could understand Cristina Perkinsâ
dislike, but Tricia had always been polite.
âI havenât forgotten. Iâll be at the Pennyfeatherâs tonight. I just have some things to take care of this
afternoon. Once Iâm done, Iâll head over immediately. This is your birthday present.â
She handed Tricia the necklace she had purchased. Ryan had given her a similar one before, but she
thought it inappropriate to reâgift it. So, she bought another one with the same design.
Tricia opened the box with a surprised look. âThank you, I really love it!â
Seeing Triciaâs flushed face, Maja worried she might catch a cold. She gestured towards the car. âGet
in, and Iâll drop you off at home.â
Tricia nodded and settled into the passenger seat. As Maja started the car, Tricia hesitated before
finally asking, âMaja, do you really not like lan?â
