lan’s fingers narrowly escaped being squished by the door. It looked like she wasn’t pulling any

punches.

He stood outside the door for a while, still in shock.

His mind seemed to have come to a standstill.

When he snapped back to reality, he felt a surge of anger rush up to his head.

lan took a deep breath and walked straight into the elevator.

The chill radiating off him seemed like it could freeze the entire space.

The angrier lan got, the calmer he became.

When he left the complex, he saw Samuel leaning against his car, smoking.

Samuel saw lan and raised an eyebrow.

“Well, if it isn’t, Mr. Raymond, I fancy bumping into you here.”

lan didn’t say a word. He opened his car door, got in, and floored it.

Samuel stood there, watching lan leave. The smile on his face slowly faded..

If lan set his sights on a woman, no woman could escape his pursuit.

And Maja was lan’s wife to begin with.

Even if Samuel had deliberately staged this scene just to make lan look bad,



But once lan found out that Penny was his wife, they could openly declare their love and live happily

ever after, right?

Realizing this, Samuel suddenly felt annoyed.

What a fool he was. He shouldn’t have created this scene, He should’ve continued to help Maja hide

her identity and made those two get a divorce ASAP. What if lan suddenly decided to take action now

that things were stirred up?

Samuel cursed himself for his stupidity.

In the departing car, lan called Judson.

Judson was a bit nervous since lan had never called him before.

“Hello, Mr. Raymond.”

“Mr. Judson, who’s in charge of the Silverstone Enterprises operation in Crystalbrook Valley?” lan’s

voice had calmed down, but his hands were gripping/ the steering wheel tightly.

Judson was a bit confused and gave a name he didn’t recognize.

Of course, they had to send their best for a collaboration with the Raymond Corporation.

“I think Nathan’s quite good. Maybe we could send him over there to gain some experience.”

Judson was a sharp guy. He immediately understood that this was a demotion disguised as a

promotion for Nathan.

Nathan didn’t hold a high position at Silverstone Enterprises, but now he was going to be responsible

for this project. In other words, he would be sidelined once he got there.



But with this title, Nathan’s position would be elevated. It’s just that until the project was over, he can’t

return to Greenfield.

Was it because of the cufflinks incident last time?

But lan wouldn’t be upset over that.

Judson didn’t dare to ask too many questions; he simply agreed, “I also think highly of Nathan. He’s

very capable, and he gets along well with Penny.”

Judson was hoping that lan would reconsider for Penny’s sake, as he found Nathan very useful.

willing to go.”

lan hung up the phone.

He never thought there would come a day when he would stoop to argue with an ordinary guy.

Why was Penny suddenly so angry?

It’s just a wedding ring; she never wore it before. Who was she wearing it for tonight?

Didn’t she like him?

Or maybe he’s been too good to her lately, and she’s gotten the wrong idea that she can do whatever

she wanted?

lan frowned, thinking about the ring and about her anxious look. His face became even more serious.

Just for a regular ring, she actually blew up at him.
