Chapter 512
Dear Ex-wife Marry Me Novel Full Episode
Chapter 512
Seeing Holden looking a bit off, Maja walked over and began to massage his shoulders.
âGrandpa Holden, I learned this massage technique online. Let me give it a go; help you loosen up a bit.â
One thing Holden admired about Maja was her generosity; she never had ulterior motives in anything she did.
He put down his chess piece and said, âThatâs great, Maja. If only lan could be as understanding as you, Iâd be
satisfied.â
lan had always been by Holdenâs side, so Holden knew him like the back of his hand.
lan had been a hero since he was little, which made him a bit hardânosed and decisive.
Maja stood behind Holden, pressing gently with her fingertips.
Holden sighed. âlan has a bit of a temper. Heâs not much for talking, but push him, and he might do something
drastic.â
Majaâs hands paused, not quite sure what âdo something drasticâ specifically referred to.
Holden raised his hand and patted her on the back of her hand.
âIf you ever feel youâve been treated unfairly, come and talk to me like you did last time. Ianâs kind of stubborn; I
donât know if heâs been giving you a hard time. âNot at all.â
After spending two hours with Holden, Maja was just leaving when she saw Carol in a taxi while waiting at a traffic
light.
Carolâs hand was wrapped in gauze, and she was sitting next to Felix.
Maja honked her horn twice. Carol looked around, saw it was Maja, and happily waved to her.
Carol pointed ahead, signaling the taxi to stop.
Both cars stopped ahead; Carol got out and said, âMaja.â
Maja glanced at Felix next to her and asked, âWhat happened to your hand?â
Carol sighed, âNo biggie. Felixâs cousin, Listina Geo, has been refusing surgery recently and has been really
unstable. She threw a fruit knife at me, and it cut my palm.â
Even though Carol appeared nonchalant, she was really scared of pain. She hadnât even pierced her ears yet, all
because she was afraid of the pain.
Felix held Carolâs uninjured hand; his tone was gentle: âCarol, you shouldnât come next time; Listinaâs been really
unstable lately.â
Carol nodded. She was initially upset, but seeing Maja had cheered her up considerably.
Maja asked, âHow many stitches?â
âFive.â
âEven if she has a bad temper, she should never have thrown a fruit knife at you. Thatâs attempted murder.â
Maja looked at Felix, trying to detect some emotion in his eyes, but all she saw was guilt.
âI shouldnât have taken Carol to the hospital; we wonât go next time.â
Carol, who was quite smitten with Felix, quickly grabbed Majaâs arm.
âMaja, itâs not Felixâs fault. I didnât expect Listina to throw the knife; she seems to hate me. So, I wonât go next
time.â Seeing this, Maja was actually a bit pissed off.
Carol was the only daughter of the Miller family, a real rich heiress; why should she take any shit from a poor boy
like Felix? Carol was such a classy lady; Felix didnât seem like a fool; didnât he know that Carolâs family was loaded?
Once this doubt surfaced, Maja couldnât help but take a few more glances at Felix;
However, Carol grabbed Majaâs hand.
âYouâre here; could you give us a lift home? Oh, and by the way, howâs your recovery going?â
Maja nodded and opened the car door for them.
Felix stuck close to Carol; when she got into the car, he carefully held his hand above her head to prevent her from
bumping it.
During the drive, Maja occasionally observed Felix through the rearview mirror.
But Felix was just staring at Carol holding her hand, his real emotions hidden.
When the car reached the place Felix was renting, they both got out.
Carol let Felix go first, then quietly asked Maja, âWhat should we do about Carleneâs pregnancy?â
âI really donât know what to do.â Maja gently squeezed Carolâs face and said, âBut you take care of yourself first. I
donât understand why Listina is so hostile to you; throwing a fruit knife at someone who came to visit her is not
something a normal person would do.â
Carol sighed. âFelix told me that Listinaâs parents are both deceased, her other relatives donât want to take care of
her, and her health is really bad. She has brain cancer, and Iâve already hired the best international experts to
operate on her; after all, sheâs Felixâs family. Maja, donât worry about me.â
Carol smiled carefreely at Maja, and Maja couldnât help but smile back.
âAs long as youâre happy, thatâs all that matters.â
Seeing only Felix in Carolâs eyes, she must be happy. So Maja didnât say anything else.
