Chapter 528
Dear Ex-wife Marry Me Novel Full Episode
Chapter 528
Zoey hit up Maja after she woke up, telling her that sheâd signed a contract with EliteEdge Consortium.
With contracts from Silverstone Enterprises and Elite Edge Consortium for the next six months, the Pennyfeather
groupâs operations shouldnât be too rough. The real headache, though, was the fact that the companyâs top
management was still up in the air.
Maja had gone through the candidatesâ profiles over and over again. They were all young, but beyond their
resumes, she knew nothing about them.
âMs. Pennyfeather, weâre about to jump into a bidding war along with several other companies,â Zoey said. âItâs a
project greenâlighted by the former CEO a year ago, aiming to beef up the Pennyfeather group and add more
production lines. The bidâs about a development on the east side of the city, and itâs kicking off tomorrow. I thought
you might not be in the loop, so Iâm just giving you a heads upâ
Back when Neil was calling the shots, he was all about expanding the company.
Since theyâd already committed to the bid, even if Maja wasnât keen on adding more production lines right now,
sheâd have to show her face at the bidding.
âMs. Pennyfeather, Iâve sent you the info on the other companies involved in the bid.â
Maja booted up her computer, and the EverBest Group, belonging to the Shepard family, popped up. They were in
the real estate business, so their involvement in the bid was a noâbrainer.
Zoey added a note in the email: âSince weâre locking horns with the EverBest Group in this bid, and given that
Carlene spilled the beans about her plan to take over our company last time, Iâm guessing thereâll be quite a crowd
at the bid. Theyâll probably want to see what happens when our two companies cross paths again.â âZoey, you to in
my place.â
Zoey agreed.
The Greenfield Gardens project was moving along smoothly. However, during Majaâs last site visit, she floated the
ideaâof.designing an art studio on the second floor. The construction workers asked her if she wanted to change the
second floorâs design or stick with the original plan.
After breakfast, Maja got a call from Silverstone Enterprises.
On this issue, lan hadnât given Maja a straight answer yet.
Maja rang up lan to get his take.
But he didnât pick up.
Frowning, Maja dialed him up again.
The moment the call connected, he hung up.

Clearly, lan was ducking her calls on purpose.
Maja took a deep breath, and then her phone pinged with a new message.
It was from lan.
[Call me on your private number.]
Looking at the message, Maja found it rather amusing.
lan did know her private number, but heâd always thought it was his wifeâs.
There was no way Maja would use her private number to call him.
In the bestâcase scenario, once their spat was over, she could easily take off to another country in three months.
By then, Grandpa Holdenâs condition should also be better.
Maja didnât respond to lanâs message and instead went straight to the Raymond Corporation.
lan was sitting in his office, waiting for Penny to respond.
But there was no response.
His face darkened noticeably as he tossed his phone aside.
After dealing with paperwork for half an hour, someone knocked on his office door.
âCome in.â
Maja pushed the door open and walked in.
âMr. Raymond.â
lanâs pen paused midâair as he looked up at her.
Her hand was bandageâfree today, hanging by her side.
He put down his pen and took a moment to check out her outfit.
She hadnât planned to go to the Pennyfeather group today, so she was dressed pretty casually in wideâleg black
pants and a white cinched blouse with puffed sleeves.
She had a well proportioned figure, and her outfit made her look delicate and elongated her legs. This was the first
time heâd seen her dressed like this.
The moment his eyes met hers, his heartbeat seemed to speed up.
lan tried to hide his interest and turned his attention back to the documents on his desk. âWhatâs up?â
âAbout whether to reserve an art studio in Greenfield Gardens, you didnât give me an answer last time.â
Ian shifted his gaze back to her face as she added, âIf your future partner likes painting, we can reserve an art
studio on the south side. It overlooks the garden. Iâll make sure the plants in the garden are well managed. It should
be quite inspiring for anyone who paints.â
âDo you like it?â he asked.
Maja paused before replying, âWhether I like it or not is irrelevant.â
âRight. Letâs reserve it then.â He turned back to his documents. âAnything else?â
