Chapter 634

Maja suddenly went silent, feeling as if her heartbeat was squeezed by an invisible hand.

lan started walking towards the hotel, she could only follow closely behind.

When he stopped, she unintentionally bumped into his back.

Quickly, she took a few steps back to avoid annoying him, creating distance between them.

Once they returned to the room, she handed him some painkillers.

“Mr. Raymond, here are your painkillers.”

But seeing the blood on the medication, lan frowned, didn’t take it and coldly said, “You should take care of your

own wounds first.”

Then, he went straight to the bedroom to sleep.

Maja moved to the living room couch, opened the first aid kit, and started treating her hand.

The newly bought painkillers were left on the table.

After disinfecting and applying the ointment, she leaned back, feeling suddenly exhausted and fell asleep.

She had no idea she’d dream about lan fighting.

His fists landing on the flesh of those men, his movements harsh and precise.

She wanted to stop him, but he coldly said, “Nobody has ever controlled me, who do you think you are?”

Maja woke up instantly, her forehead covered in sweat, her heart pounding.

She tried but couldn’t fall asleep anymore.

Thinking back to the night lan confessed his feelings, it seemed ridiculous. Who forced someone to accept their

feelings then confessed out of the blue? He was acting like a madman.

But then again, lan was inexperienced in all things related to affection or treating someone kindly, what could he

understand?

He learned from the rough men in the military that he can do what he wanted and whenever he wanted.

This idea was too crude, totally unfitting for him, but the real lan might just be as he showed tonight. Growing wild

like a lone wolf, forced to disguise himself as a ‘person due to family responsibilities.

Maja turned on the couch, her heart feeling a bit sour.

Maybe it’s a woman’s nature to be easily touched.

She closed her eyes, forcing herself to sleep again.

At five in the morning, she woke up on time, cleaned up, prepared lan’s documents, and didn’t go to wake him until

it was six in the morning.

He was still deep in sleep, his face pale due to blood loss from the injury. Even though half a month had passed, he

hadn’t fully recovered.

“Mr. Raymond, it’s time to wake up.”

lan’s eyelashes slightly trembled, but he didn’t respond.

Maja instinctively reached for the alarm clock, but he opened his eyes at that moment, his expression cold.

“Didn’t I tell you not to come into my bedroom?”

“It’s time to get up.”

lan sat up, noticing she hadn’t left, his eyes hardened, “Aren’t you leaving?”

Maja’s gaze fell on a certain part of his body, which was noticeably full, a common morning occurrence for men.

lan noticed her gaze, quickly stood up, turned her around to face the living room, grabbed the back of her neck,

and led her out of the room like she was a chicken.

“Bang!”

The door was shut hard.

Maja looked at the closed door, her face heating up, seemingly in a daze.

She reflexively covered her face, but the door suddenly opened, lan was all dressed up.

With a cold face, he walked past her to the bathroom.

After cleaning up, he headed outside.

Maja immediately grabbed the documents and followed him.

When they arrived at the Rayniond Corporation, several people were already waiting.

There were Steve, Maureen, and Ryan Elston.-

All three of them–asked about lan’s condition with concern, but his expression remained icy as if he was looking at

complete strangers.

After Steve and Maureen left, Ryan hugged lan’s arm and started crying loudly..

“How could you forget me? We grew up together! Cousin lan, you must remember me!”

Then, Ryan looked at Maja, “Penny, were you forgotten too?”

Maja nodded; Ryan started yelling again.

“I can accept you forgetting me, but how could you forget Penny? I saw you kissing her passionately in the office

the last time.”

lan, who was drinking water, choked upon hearing that and started coughing.

His eyes flashed with surprise, then embarrassment.

“What did you say?!”

Seeing that lan truly forgot, Ryan quickly added,

“You really have a bad memory; it was just the last time. When I walked in, you had Penny on the desk, kissing her

chest.”

“Get out!!”

lan couldn’t take it anymore, feeling his heart pounding heavily.
