Chapter 802
Dear Ex-wife Marry Me Novel Full Episode
Chapter 802
After Zoey and Elvis left, Maja was once again hauled back to the lockup.
Zoey made a beeline for the BlueSky Bar. A quick internet search gave her a picture of Beck, and she started
looking around for him.
Before long, she spotted Beck walking in with a woman. She heard him say to the woman, in a somewhat muffled
voice, âLike strawberries? How about coming over tonight? I can plant some âstrawberriesâ on your neckâ
Hearing this, Zoey frowned slightly Could she really rely on this kind of man?
âMr. Sanders.â
Zoey hurriedly intercepted him.
Beck stopped in his tracks, a twinkle of amusement in his eyes as he looked at Zoey âAnd you are?â
âMr. Pennyfeather was taken to the police station, she sent me to find you.â
âWhoâs Mr. Pennyfeather?â
âMajaâ
At the mention of this name, the smile on Beckâs face vanished instantly. He slowly let go of the woman he was
holding, and his expression turned serious. âGet in my car, weâll talk on the way.â
Zoey climbed into the car with him, sitting in the passenger seat.
Beck closed the car door, his hands gripping the steering wheel. âWhat happened?â
âIt has to do with the Raymond family. Or you could call lan; he should know.â
Beck actually whipped out his phone and dialed lanâs number.
At the time, lan was in a meeting. He didnât really want to pick up the call, but eventually he did.
âWhatâs up?â
âYou know Maja was taken in by the police?â
Jan was already in a bad mood, and now he was even more irritated at Beckâs intrusion. âYeah, so?â
âThis has to do with your Raymond family; arenât you going to deal with it?â
âNo.â
Upon hearing this, Beck was livid.
âlan, do you enjoy playing with peopleâs feelings? If you wonât handle it, I will!â
Upon hearing this, lanâs face darkened.
âBeck, you canât get involved in this.â
With that, lan hung up the phone.
Beck didnât quite understand his words until he got to the police station and found out that he was not even allowed
to enter.
It turned out lan had already spoken to the police, who barred him from entering.
He took a deep breath and dialed lan once more.
This time, lan was on his way here, having already canceled his scheduled meeting.
âlan, do you plan to let her stay in there forever?â
lan gripped the steering wheel with one hand. âIf you stir up trouble in Greenfield, it wonât reflect well on your
father, right? If I want to stop you, you canât do anythingâ
Beck got it. If lan was determined to stop him, he would have to pull some strings with the Sanders family.
But that would surely raise a fuss back in North America. His father had repeatedly told him to be on good terms
with people here, but heâd already pissed off the influential lan.
The last thing Beck liked was being threatened.
âLet the Sanders family know, then. Iâve done crazier things for a woman.â
As soon as he finished speaking, lanâs car pulled up in front of him.
Seeing fanâs face, Beck was as mad as a wet hen.
âManââ
He strode over
lan was unfazed, barely giving him a glance. âBeck, if you leave now, Iâll bail Maja out. Otherwise, I will really let her
stay in there forever.â
Beck was taken aback, feeling the conflict between him and lan grow
this guy really wanted to mess around, no one could stop him.
He lowered his gaze. âAre you sure?â
Zoey interjected, âMr. Sanders, donât trust him.â
Upon hearing this, lan turned his gaze to her.
He recognized her as Majaâs assistant, who still harbored hostility toward him.
Zoey really didnât like lan. She always felt that he was just going through the motions with Maja. She could never let
the Incident go
Beck simply stared into lanâs eyes, then turned and gave Zoey a reassuring smile.
âItâs okay. If he doesnât take Maja with him tonight, we can always come back later.â
Zoey had no choice but to drop it.
It was only after they left that lan took out a cigarette and slowly lit it.
After finishing the cigarette and calming down, he slowly walked in..
When he got to the small room where Maja was locked up, he saw her sitting on the bed in a daze.
âMaja, someoneâs here to bail you out.â
At his words, Majaâs eyes flickered. But when she looked up and saw lan, her brief smile faded, replaced by a cold
indifference.
Her swift change in expression was astonishing.
