Chapter 91
Dear Ex-wife Marry Me Novel Full Episode
Chapter 90
âHey, Mr. Raymond, once weâve locked in the design, Iâve got to start on the construction drawings. You
sure you donât want anyone else to take a peek? I heard from Mr. Elston that this house is designed for
your sweetheart Donât you think you should ask her opinion?â
lan fell silent for a moment before whispering, âNo need.â
Maja was taken aback and began to wonder. Had lan really been waiting for Carlene Shepard for all
these years, just like the rumors suggested?
The gossip might not be baseless, maybe there was trouble in paradise
Maja didnât much care about all that âAlright, Iâll call you if I need anything else.â
Just as she hung up and prepared to rest, there was a knock at the door. It was Maria.
âMs Pennyfeather, Holden called me at noon. He said his flight lands at six tomorrow evening and
asked you and Mr. Raymond to pick him up.â Majaâs heart raced. Was she really going with lan?
She even thought about making up an excuse not to go.
But it was Holden, who had always shown concern for her and treated her like family over the years.
She took a deep breath, âGot it.â
He must have called home because his car was in a tunnel and there was no signal at noon. He was
probably on the plane by now.
She would have to see lan sooner or later; she just had to be prepared.-
The next morning, as she descended the stairs after washing up, she noticed the living room was
unusually quiet.
She looked up and saw Selena sitting on the couch with a cup of tea in front of her; apparently, she had
been there for a while.
Maja had just returned from Crystalbrook Valley the previous day and had planned to sleep in a bit, but
instead, she ran into Selena. Selena scoffed upon seeing Maja up and about.
Tanâs already been in three meetings by this time and youâre still lazing in bed: What terrible manners!â
Maja found it amusing. Selena was always displeased with her and was always finding faults with her.
Now that Holden was returning, she was worried lan might move into Rosewood Manor with Maja, so
she came early to pick a fight.
Tve had lanâs clothes sent over; theyâre in the bedroom. Youâre lucky that you were smart enough to
move out.â
Maja chuckled and signaled for Maria to go about her business; otherwise, sheâd be on the receiving
end of Selenaâs scolding too. Maria sighed and picked up a towel to clean the table and chairs.
Coco had just returned from playing outside, and since it was raining, he stood at the entrance waiting
for someone to wipe his paws. Selena spotted Coco immediately and her eyes narrowed.
âDidnât I tell you to get rid of this dog?â,
âMs. Casson, Mr. Raymond hasnât arrived yet. When he does, Coco will be gone.â
That wonât do! lan gets uncomfortable around dogs!â
Maja took a deep breath, maintaining a polite smile on her face.
âAlright, Iâll have someone take Coco away. But, Ms. Casson, did you come over this morning to
discuss anything else?â
A hint of seriousness spread across Selenaâs face. I didnât just come by myself. I invited your parents
too; they should be here soon.â
Maja frowned. Neil and Cristina?
It seemed she was not just scolding her but also wanted to reprimand the Pennyfeather family.
She suddenly felt uneasy.
But she didnât like lan and never thought of continuing this marriage.
It was all just business; she was well aware of this fact.
But Selena repeatedly used this fact to humiliate her, which only showed her pettiness.
Given Selenaâs personality, arguing back now would only make her more relentless.
Soon after, Neil and Cristina arrived.
They were quite surprised to receive Selenaâs invitation as this was their first visit to Maja and lanâs
marital home.
Selena was arrogant. She didnât get up to greet them and just nodded her head, âPlease, have a seat.â
Neil was a bit uncomfortable. The Pennyfeather family had always been supported by the Raymond
family, so he felt he needed to be more polite when meeting lanâs mother.
âMs. Casson, is there something you wanted to discuss with us?â
Selenaâs gaze swept over the three of them before she pulled out a contract from her bag.
âSign the contract. I know your family is about to start the second round of financing. The Raymond
family has plenty of money; as long as Maja and lan divorce and she doesnât take anything with her, the
Raymond family will agree to provide the second round of financing for your family.â
Neil instantly turned pale, âDid Maja do something wrong?â
