Chapter 93
Dear Ex-wife Marry Me Novel Full Episode
Chapter 93
Maja was still standing in the corridor, feeling p chill from what the doctor had said It wasnât until her
phone rang that she snapped out of it.
Her fingers were stiff, so she rubbed her hands to warm them up before answering the call
The time displayed on her phone screen showed that she had missed picking up Holden She quickly
apologized âGrandpa, Iâm sorry, my father was in a hospital. Iâm with him right now, so I missed picking
you up
Upon hearing the reason, Holden immediately comforted her
âMaja, why is your dad in the hospital? Is he doing better now? Donât worry about it, you donât have to
come over for dinner tonight, just stay with him.â
Majaâs eyes welled up Her father had been diagnosed with lateâstage liver cancer, she didnât know who
to tell. She couldnât tell the Raymond family, even though Holden was nice to her. She didnât want
others to know, afraid they might think sheâs trying to gain sympathy.
âHeâs just feeling a bit unwell. Heâs not awake yet. Grandpa, Iâll get you a gift as an apology next time.â
Holden chuckled. âQuit being so formal with me, Iâve got a gift for you too. Iâll let lan give it to you.â
Majaâs eyes welled up again, she looked up at the ceiling, âOkay, thank you grandpa.â
Being called grandpaâ by Maja made Holden even happier. After Hanging up, he took out a box from
the side and handed it to lan.
This is for Maja, donât forget to give it to her. Also, his father Neilâs in the hospital. Heâs neither okay to
Maja, so if you have time, bring some gifts and visit him. Since you are his sonâinâlaw, you should act
like one.â
Holden truly cared for Maja, and was also nice to the rest of the Pennyfeather family. He had looked
into Majaâs life over the years. She was independent, didnât complain when wronged, went to high
school on her own, and had a bad college professor.
Holden wanted to call the school several times, but was stopped by Maja. She said she would clear her
name when the opportunity arose.
And she did. Solstice College recently got a new principal, and that professor was dismissed.
Holden scoffed at the thought of Dalia being part of the Shepard family. âThe Shepards, always playing
little tricks.â
Upon hearing the mention of the Shepard family, lan frowned. âGrandpa, what does this have to do with
the Shepards.â
Seeing him defend the Shepards, Holden scoffed. âIsnât Dalia one of Carlene Shepardâs kin? Look at
what sheâs done in school! With she behaving like that, I do not hold much expectation for the Shepard
family.â
lanâs lips twitched. He glanced at the files in his hand and replied, âYou canât dismiss their whole family
just because of one personâs actions. Itâs a different time now, and letâs not resort to the outdated
judgments.â
Helden was upset, gripping his cane tightly.
Carlene was no saint either, and he wouldnât ever allow her to marry into the Raymond family. His
daughterâinâlaw could only be Maja. Anyone who dared to sabotage would be his enemy âRemember
to visit Neil this week, you should show some concern.â
lan sounded indifferent, âGot it.â He would just have Jeff bring some stuff over.
Holden actually thought lan was being obedient, so he nodded in satisfaction.
Meanwhile, in the hospital, Neil had woken up, still in pain.
Seeing Cristina by his bedside, he frowned, âHow did I end up here?â
Cristina didnât know what Neil was suffering from. He had been complaining about body aches for
years, but a painkiller always did the trick, so she didnât think much of it.
âYou fainted at Rosewood Manor.â
âWhereâs Maja?â
Whenever Maja was mentioned, Cristinaâs expression immediately turned sour. The nurse sent her to
the canteen to get some food. The hospital has prepared a nutritious meal for the patients, if you miss
this mealtime, there wonât be another. If you donât like it, Iâll have our chef prepare something and send
it over.â
Neil coughed twice, sighing, âCristina, do you think Maja will hate me for sending her to the Raymond
family?â
