Chapter 982
Dear Ex-wife Marry Me Novel Full Episode
Chapter 982
Maja sat in the car, deep in thought, before sending another message.
[Rockyâs bolted.]
She waited ten minutes, but there was no response from lan. Her message seemed to have sunk into oblivion.
The chauffeur, driving her around, was also anxious.
âMs. Pennyfeather, Rockyâs an oversized breed. If heâs seen roaming around Greenfield, someone might call the
authorities.â
A knot formed in Majaâs heart. Despite Rockyâs strained relationship with Coco, she had a soft spot for him.
She could always see a hint of lan in him.
Elsewhere, Rocky was running wild.
Judith, seated in her car, caught a glimpse of the white blur dashing past her window.
No woman could resist Rockyâs charm. His shiny white coat and majestic demeanor were quite alluring.
Originally sulky, sheâd called for a ride home because she hadnât seen lan.
But seeing Rocky brought a twinkle in her eyes and a smile to her lips.
âWind, retrieve him. I want him to be my pet.â
Wind, a seasoned hitman, immediately recognized the creature wasnât a dog but a rare white wolf.
âMiss, this is likely a pet from some wealthy family. It must have escaped.â
âI donât care. I want him. No matter the cost.â
Left with no choice, Wind nodded, âIâll get someone to fetch him.â
Judithâs eyes sparkled with amusement.
âAlso, lan would probably be interested in a pet as majestic as this one, wouldnât he? Once we have him, I could
take him to lan. Men do love powerful creatures, after all.â
Wind stiffened at her words, his lips pressed into a thin line. He didnât respond, just turned the car in the direction
the wolf had disappeared.
To his surprise, the wolf was incredibly obedient. Perhaps sensing they meant no harm, he was tranquil throughout
the ride back to the villa.
Meanwhile, Majaâs car passed Judithâs on the road to find Rocky.
Maja glanced at the woman in the other car, and Judith looked back at her.
Judithâs car was spacious, and Rocky was in the back.
Maja told the driver to turn around, intending to chase the truck carrying Rocky.
The truck drove slowly, eventually stopping in front of a villa.
Judith got out first, instructing her staff to bring Rocky inside.
Then she walked over to Majaâs car and gently tapped the window.
The window remained, but Judith guessed the wolf must belong to Maja.
She took a card from her purse and slipped it through a small gap in the window.
âThree million dollars. The petâs mine.â.
The card fell into the car, landing in a corner.
Maja picked it up and tossed it out.
âRockyâs not my pet.â
Judith had wondered how a woman as downtrodden as Maja could own a white wolf. But her words made it click.
âIf itâs lanâs pet, then you shouldnât take my money. All I need to do is ask him, and heâll give it to me.â
Judithâs face lit up in an innocent smile.
She took out her phone and dialed lanâs number.
âlan, can I have a pet? Can you give me yours?â
lan was on his balcony having a smoke. Before receiving the call, heâd been working late in his study and hadnât
seen Majaâs message.
Annoyed by the call, he responded, âDo whatever you want.â
He didnât even have a pet.
âThanks, lan. When youâre in Greenfield next, Iâll introduce you two. Love you, bye.â
After hanging up, Judith turned back to Maja.
âHe agreed, Maja. I told you before that youâre out of the picture. Getting worked up over a pet, only for him to
hand it over to me, makes you look
foolish.â
Judith sauntered off towards the villa, humming a tune.
Maja remained silent. After all, Rocky was indeed lanâs pet, and if the owner wanted to give it away, what right did
she have to object?
She just watched Judith, who was being fawned over by several servants, as she chatted with a man sporting a
small braid at the back of his hair, giving him a rakish appearance.
They were all orbiting around Judith like planets around the sun, making Maja seem insignificant in comparison.
The chauffeur tried to console her.
âMs. Pennyfeather, donât be downhearted. If you want Rocky, I can ask around abroad.â
Maja lowered her gaze and shook her head, forcing a bitter smile.
âNo, thank you.â
She was just disappointed that lan hadnât answered her call, yet heâd promptly answered Judithâs and given away
Rocky in less than three
sentences.
Just a bit crestfallen.
