Cornelia's POV

"Kallum, I'm going to Colton's office now. I just want to let you know." I phoned him.

"Are you sure, Lia?"

"Yes, I'm sure."

"But he has hurt you. He deserve no help feom you."

"Yes, he hurt me. But it doesn't mean that I can't help him."

"But, Lia..." He was going to say something. But I cut him off.

"Stop it, Kallum. I have persuded you and you agree with that. And now, why's with that protest?" Yes, I have persuaded him yesterday. It took a long time to persuade him. He is too stubborn.

"I just want to make sure that my sister will be alright."

"I'll be alright, Kallum. I have promised you that I will call you immediately if he dares to do something with me."

"Okay. Okay. Make sure you keep your words."

"Okay. Have a good day, Kallum. Bye."

"You too. Bye."

We ended the call. I went to the car port. I was accompanied by Kallum's bodyguard. See? My brother is so protective. He didn't let me drive the car. You are not going to believe this, but actually he wanted to drive me there and accompany me. But of course I refused. He had to go for work.

"Good morning, Ms."

"Good morning, Peter."

He opened the door for me. He let me in first before he closed the door. And walked to his side as a driver.

You know, my life has compeletely change. From the rich Cornelia from the well know Parker family. And then turned to Cornelia the orphan who had no money and unemployed. And then someone offered me a job as a fake girlfriend. Sadly, my life became worse. And now, I'm still in the state of 'worse life' but I met the light. I met my brother. And it brighten me a lot. I had the supports that I need. I had the love that I always missed.

"Ms, we have arrived."

"Oh, thanks."

"You're welcome."

I went out of the car and entered the building in front of me. I still remembered Colton's office. It's on the 38th floor. He owned the whole floor. But before going to that floor, I paid Susan a visit. She and the others are on the 37th floor.

"Good morning, Cornelia."

"Good morning, Susan."

"I miss you."

"I miss you too." She hugged me.

"Mr. Steward has been so moody after you resign from your job. He has fired many workers. He never looked for another secretary."

I jusr rolled my eyes. He never looked for another secretary. But maybe he still looked for another toys.

"Susan, I want to meet him. Is he available?"

"Yeah. He is. He is available until this afternoon."

"Okay. See you soon, Susan."

"Be careful! Just don't make him angry."

I just laughed. She is quite old, but she has sense of humor.

"I won't."

I walked to the elevator. But someone grabbed my hand.

"Alex, you scared me!"

He just laughed. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."

"How are you doing?"

"I'm fine. But I have some hard time when our boss is moody."

I laughed. "I know. Susan told me earlier."

"How about you?"

"Fine. Perfectly fine."

"Good. What are you doing here?"

"I'm going to meet Colton."

"Meet him? Your brother let you meet him? That's rare."

"Yeah. He let me. But he still very protective. He even told me to call him if Colton lay a hand on me."

Alex chuckled. "He still the same."

"Still the same? You have known Kallum before?"

"Yeah. He was our friend."

"Was?"

"Not was actually, Kallum is still my friend. But not with Colton. They once got in a fight because of something I shouldn't tell you."

I just nodded. I understand that It isn't his part to tell.

"Let me accompany you to Colton's office. I want to see his reaction when he meet you. He has been a real bastard lately. He hasn't eaten his lunch today. He is a bastard and really stubborn."

We went to the elevator together and went to Colton's floor. When we have arrived at his floor. I didn't even bother to knock the door. I just went in without knock the door.

"Alex, how many times I should tell you? I don't want to take a break. And I'm not hungry." Colton said without looking at us. He was to focus on his work.

"It's not Alex. It's me."

He looked up at me. His gaze met mine. I could see his sadness. I could see that he regret what he has done. I could see.. love?

"Lia, I'm so sorry for what I have done. I'm really sorry. I know I have hurt you more than once. But I depressed, I couldn't risk to lose you."

"Don't say anything like that, Colton."

"I just trying to fix our relationship."

"There is no relationship that we begin."

He stayed silence.

"Then I just want to make everything clear." He said.

"Actually I want to tell you that I want to help you. I want to help you to face Jacob."

He nodded. "Please sit."

Alex and me sit in front of him.

"I want to start from the beginning. I will tell you my story."

"But you told me before, that you haven't ready to tell."

"I'm more than ready now."

I took a deep breath before start talking.

"You know that my name is Cornelia Josephine Parker. I am the daughter of Jason Parker and Delilah Parker."

I heard their gasp. It seemed that they recognize my parents name.

"They owned Parker Corporation. As you know, now the Parker Corporation belongs to my uncle and his son.

4 years ago, after my parents died. Our lawyer announced that our wealth belong to Jacob. I was 16 at that time, I'm not mature enough to handle such big company. That was our laywer said. I know that I was just 16 years old, but I know there is something wrong with it. I know my parent's hatred towards uncle Jacob. They never like him. So I don't believe that my parents gave the company to Jacob.

Up until our agreement, you both know that I was uneployed. Why? It's all because of Jacob. He knows that our company is a huge one. He told the others company to not accept me. He said that I was not a good employee when I worked at Parker Corporation. That doesn't make sense at all. I have never worked at my parents's company. So that's the reason why I was unemployed.

Now, it seems that he knows about us. He is always jealous of me. He always takes what is mine. Dmitri is like his father. Since we were young he always took my toys. So I think they want your wealth now. And I think it's the perfect time to have my revenge. I want to ruin them. I want to make them suffer.

I will help you IF you help me have my revenge too."

Both of them looked at each other. And then they looked at me with a sympatic look. And then they nodded. If it wasn't a serious discussion, I would have laughed. They were like a twins.

"Now, it's time for me to explain everything to you.

Me, Kallum and Alex. We used to be best friends. We were always together. We knew each others problem and crush. And when we were a high school student, I had this huge crush on Cassandra. She was the head of cheerleader at that time. I told Alex and Kallum about it. But they said that she is not a good girl. She is known as a bitch who always bitching around. But stupid me, I didn't believe them. I believed that I can change her. But Kallum kept telling me that I can't do it. We fought a lot. I used to think that Kallum had a crush on Sandra too. So I fought him. I was really like her so I can't let Kallum have her. And from that time, we've been enemy.

And after that, I confessed her. And we used to date. I gave my first time for her."

"So that's why you were so senstive when we talked about that?" I asked. And he just nodded before he told us his story again.

"There was one time when I was not at my apartment. When I went back to my apartment, I heard loud moans and cursing words. I rushed to the room where the voice came from. When I opened the door, I saw the very naked Sandra was riding naked Dmitri on my bed. My very own bed. I even never had a sex with her or another women on my bed. They dirtied my bed, heart and pride.

She knows that Dmitri and I are enemy. We never get along. But she betrayed me with my enemy. She knows that I don't like having sex on my bed. But she did that on my bed.

And you know what happen next? They just laughed at me! Thye have hurt my heart and my pride!" He punched his desk. I could see his anger. I just grab his hand to calm him down.

"I'm really sorry, Lia. I know how you feel when you saw me with Sandra. I know that very well. I'm really sorry, Lia. I don't know what's gotten into me. Please.. give me another chance."

I wanted to cry. He has felt the pain that I felt back then.

"I.. I forgive you, Colton."

He seemed so shocked.

"W..what? You forgive me?"

"Yeah. I forgive you. But I don't want a relationship more that friend between us. I'm not ready yet."

"Thank you, Lia. Thank you so much."

He came to me and gave me a hug. We hugged for a quite long time.

"Guys, I'm here. Please don't forget my existence." Alex said. We pulled apart and looked at Alex. And then we laughed.

"Oh! Lia, I just want to make it clear. I can assure you that you will change your opinion soon. You will be mine again soon." Colton said with a smirk. I can't help but blushed.

"That's my friend! Finally I can meet this Colton again." He wanted to give Colton a hug but Colton quickly moved away. And then Alex pouted. We all laughed.

Jacob, just wait for us.
