Chapter 24

Cornelia's POV

"Colton, we need to go back now!"

"Calm down, Lia. Breath." He looked at me with a calming face, probably hope that I would calm sown after seeing his reaction.

"No, I can't calm down. We are in danger! All of us!"

"Danger? How? Why?"

"I'm pretty sure you know the how part. Yes, we are in danger. Jacob knows everything. He knows about our plan!"

He took my phone from my trembling hands. He read the message.

"Okay. Okay. Calm."

"How can I calm down?!" I shouted at him. My hands were trembling. My thought was a mess.

"You can't think if you are afraid!"

"I'm not afraid! I'm just scared that you guys will be in danger bacause of me. Kallum was right, I shouldn't do this. It was all my fault." Tears were starting to fall down. He held my trembling hand.

"Now, let's wait for this ferris wheel to land. Then we need to call Tori and Alex, inform them about this. And then let's meet everyone on my house. Do you agree?"

I just nodded. I'm too scared that my lips couldn't be opened, my brain couldn't function well, my hands kept trembling.

Soon after went out of the ferris wheel, Colton called Alex. He informed Alex to met him at the parking lot. Even when Colton was speaking with Alex on the phone, I could heard Tori shouted, she was as shock as the others.

We met up at the parking lot. It was not noisy at the parking lot.

"What should we do now?" Tori asked with a panic face. Her face became red when she was panic. She walked to me and hugged me. I cried on her shoulder. I made this mess. I was the one who played with the fire, but all of my family had to feel the fire I made.

"Alex, do you have your lawyer?"

"Yeah."

"Let me borow your lawyer. I will call my lawyer too about this problem. I will call him soon, just as our plan. What do you want to do next, Lia?"

I couldn't response. I just shook my head. Stupid me! I was the trouble maker but I couldn't solve the problem.

"We should call your grandfather. He has more power than us. His lawyer will be better than ours."

"But he is at Jeju now. He has already gone there."

"Just inform him and ask for a good or the best lawyer he has."

"Call Kallum." I said with a very small voice, like mumbling, but I knew they can hear me.

Both Alex and Colton reached out for their phone inside their pocket. They moved away from us. I thought they called their lawyer.

Tori kept standing beside me giving me courage. She held both of my hands with her cold hands. She tried to be strong for me, but I knew she was worried too.

"Tori, I'm sorry I ruin your date. It's all because of me. It's all happened because of me." I sobbed.

"No. It's alright, Cornelia." She hugged me again.

"I have called my lawyer, grandpa, and Kallum. Kallum will be here soon. I and Alex will go to the company, settle all this problem there with the lawyers." Colton said as walking to us.

Tori and I just nodded. We were waiting for Kallum. Alex and Colton were still with us. We were waiting in front of Colton's car when Kallum arrived.

Tori and I said goodbye to Alex and Colton. They both immediately went to their own car and started driving. We went back to our house with Tori stayed with us.

The situation was silence. No one dared to speak. I played with my hands, showing my nervousness.

"I'm sorry." I broke the silence first. Kallum took a glance of me and then focused on the street again.

"It's not your fault, Lia. We all agreed to do this."

"I'm sorry, I didn't listened to your words."

Kallum shook his head "Don't be."

We arrived at our house. We waited for the call from Colton or Alex. They promised us to inform about the lastest news.

We were sitting in the dining room. Our phones were on the center of the table. We didn't say anything. The only voice that could be heard was just the tapping voice from Kallum's finger. He was tapping on the table.

Soon, there was a ringtone. It was my phone's ringtone. I immediately got up and saw the caller ID. It was Colton! I immediatelly answered the call and put the phone into the speaker mode.

"Hello?"

"Lia, I have contacted the lawyers..." He only said that and then there was a long silence.

"Hello? Colton? Are you still there?" I worriedly asked him.

What happened if it our loss? What happened if we can't win? He had the prove our our stealing scheme after all.

"Colton!" Kallum yelled at him. He looked nervous too.

I heard his chuckled. Chuckled? At this moment?

"There are no difference between you two. You are really brother-sister." He sounded so calmed. He even can joked at this time.

"Colton! We are serious here! If you just want to joke or play a prank, then you better hang up!" Kallum yelled at him. Of course he would yell, what Colton did, upset us.

"Okay. Okay. I have contacted the lawyers team. It contains all the best lawter in town. They said it's your win. They have checked few thing and they found out the house is still under your name, so it's your free will to enter that house! Jacob can't put this into a case. Even if he did, he can't win!"

I, Kallum, and Tori looked at each other. I could saw a hidden grin on their face. There was a moment of silence when we were looking at each other. We were too surprised. And then Tori broke the silence, she yelled happily and I followed her. We cheered and yelled because of the over wheelming happiness.

"Lia?" Colton said from the phone.

"Thanks Colton for the news! Thanks a lot! You don't know how happy I am!"

"I'm happy too. Gotta go now. I will meet you later."

"Bye." I hung up the phone.

I can't stop smilling. The happy and relieved feeling just too much. I'm happy that the house is still under my name. I'm happy that he can't put this into a case. What made me happier was we are all safe.

I looked at Kallum and Tori who were dancing happily as their celebration. They moved their butt to left and right, let thier hands mive freely. I can't help but laughed.

"We are safe!" I yelled and joined the dance with them.

Unknown POV

Shit! They were too quick. I didn't expect them to be this quick! Shit!

I had to inform this quickly to him. I would be dead if I didn't inform this quickly.

I quickly searched for a safe place anf dug my pocket to find my phone. I pressed number 2. It directly called someone.

"What?" The voice from the end of the phone sound irritated.

"Boss, I have a bad news."

"Spill it!"

"The lawyers they hired said a bad news. A very bad news. They know the house still belong to that stupid bitch. We can't fill a case. They will win over us. I tried to deny them, I tried to argue them, but there are 5 of them. I tried to look for a chance to break them, but they have the prove. We will fail if we bring this into the court."

"Shit! You call yourself a good professional lawyer? When you even can't deal with this matter!"

"Sorry, boss. I just can't deal with this one. It's too risky for us. The worst, we can get arrested if we still bring this to the court."

"Keep watch them! Don't let a single information miss from our hand! You know what I will do to your daughter if you don't handle this matter." He threathen me.

"No, please. Not my daughter. She is my only one. Please don't hurt her." I had lost my wife. I can't lost my daughter. She was my everything. I was willing to die for her.

"I will not hurt her if you do the things right. If you win this case, then your daughter will be safe. If not, then say goodbye to your daughter. I will not hesitant to slice her throat."

"No. No. Please don't. Okay. I will bring this to the court. Just don't touch my daughter please. She is my only treasure." I was willing to do everything to save my daughter. I can't risk to lose her.

"No, dog! You said it's too risky, then don't bring this to the court! We will do plan two. Prepare everything right. We will do this plan with a perfect polishment. Do you understand?"

"Yes, boss."

"Good. Do it then. I want this plan to be ready by tomorrow. Then we will do this plan."

"Yes, boss." There was a beeping sound. He hung up the phone.
