Chapter 25

Cornelia's POV

I woke up with a heavy weight on my legs. I opened my eyes and saw Tori's legs laid above my legs. I let out a sighed. This was why I don't like Tori slept with me. She moved a lot even when she was sleeping. Sometimes you would even found her head on my stomach.

Alex, Tori and I stayed the night here on Colton's house. We celebrated our win last night. We haven't won actually, we celebrated it for our safety. Grace didn't let us go back to their house in the middle of the night. So she diecided to let us stayed in their house. Colton slept in his own room, Alex slept in the guest room, while Tori slept with me in the other guest room.

Even though, Grace, Anthony, Anne, and Sophie knew about my problem with Colton. They still accepted me as theor family. They welcomed me warmly. Grace hugged me when I showed up in the door. I could still felt their affection towards me.

However, I did realized their questioning gaze. Sometimes, they would stare at each other like asking through mind linked, like they could read each other's thoughts.

I removed Tori's legs from my legs and got out from the blanket. I went to the washroom first to take a shower and brush my teeth. After that I went out from the guest room and Omph. I hit a wall.

Wall? I have never realized there was a wall in front of the door.

With a dizzy head, I looked up and saw a handsome well built man standing in front of me.

Oh, it's just Colton.

"Are you okay?" He asked me.

"Yeah. I'm fine."

"No, you are not."

"Eh? Excuse me?"

I felt a hand on my waist and he spun me. Making me stood closer to him. His hands held me closer. He placed both of his hands on my waist. I could feel his breath. I could smell his cologne. My face was just few inches away from his face.

He leaned closer. My heart beat so fast. His face leaned closer and closer. "You are not fine. You are mentally sick." His voice made my legs became jelly. If he didn't hold me on my waist, then I could have melt for him.

However, I still had pride to keep. I hit him hard on his chest. I kept hiting him while he was laughing. It has been a long time since I saw him this close. I could live as long as I could see this face everyday.

"Aww.. The sweet couple is back!" Anne yelled. We just chuckled them laughed, typicall Anne.

"We are not a couple." I claimed.

"Yet." Colton completed my sentence. I glared at him and nudged him with my elbow in his ribs.

"Cut the act, guys. You know you love each other. Even though I don't do relationship, I can see the love in your eyes."

"We are not ready, Anne."

She rolled her eyes, "Whatever, Cornelia. I need to remind you, all the chance just happen once in your life time. Once you've lost it, then you will have to let go. Mark my words, Cornelia." Then she went away.

"My sister can be scary when it comes to love relationship." Colton whispered near my ear. I could feel his breath on my neck.

"Do you have any plan for today?"

"Nope! My only plan is just go back to my house."

"Then let me drive you back."

"Sure, but I want to spend my day here. I miss this place."

"I miss us." He murmured.

"What? Excuse me?"

"I miss us. I miss to be with you. I miss every second I spent with you. I miss you very much until it hurts. I suffer every night because you are not beside me. What I have to do, Lia? What have you done to me? When will you give me my second chance, Lia?"

I miss you too. I miss every second I spent with you too. It was hard for me to do everything without you. I couldn't function well without you. "I can't think about this, Colton. My problem hasn't done. I still need to bring this case to the court. I still need my revenge on him. I need all of my focus on this case."

"We can do this relationship while bring this to the court right? We could face this together. We will get stronger."

"I can't, Colton. I can't devide my focus. I need to focus on this first. Our deal is just fake relationship, no more, no less. Don't hope too much, Colton." I walked away from him as I stared down on my feet, trying to fought back my tears.

"Are you give me a false hope? Do you even love me, Cornelia Josephine Parker? Are you playing with me? You know how much I love you! I love you so damn much!" He shouted as he declared his feeling towards me.

"If you love me that much, you would have never hurt me from the start. You would have keep your dick on your pants. Not fucking that bitch." My voice was shaking. I couldn't fought my tears back. I couldn't hold it any longer. I decided to running away.

"Lia!" I heard Colton's voice shouting my name, but I kept running away from him.

"Cornelia, do you want breakfast?" Grace asked me when I passed the dining room. I couldn't answer her. If I bring myself to answer her then I couldn't help but cry in front of her. I pased the dining room without answeing Grace. I felt bad for it.

I kept running until I reached the side of the road. I couldn't handle this feeling anymore. I had this urge to cry. I cried.

Is love always this hard? We have no problem, but why we can't be together? Why I became like this every time he talked about our relationship?

I wanted to give him a chance, but why he can't wait? I kept telling myself to wait, but if he can't wait, it hurted my feeling. I was trying to wait, I was trying to be patient. Why he can't accept that?

Suddenly, there was a enginering voice. I looked up and saw, there was a car stopped in front of me. I questioned myself, who could that be? Befire I could guess the answer, the answer came itself. 3 men got out from the car in a rush, they opened the door roughly. They had a tall well built body and what made them mysterious was they had a masker on, hiding their nose and mouth.

They looked very dangerous. I felt uncomfortable when I saw them. I had this urge to ran away or moved away from them.

But.. Before I could do that, one of them had grabbed my wrist roughly with a powerful strengh.

They pulled me. They dragged me to follow them. I kept struggling and struggling, but their strengh became stronger and stronger. One hand from one of the men had been closing my mouth, so I couldn't shout for help. Even if I could shout, no one would heard me because the street was empty. I bite the hand. The hand was removed from my mouth.

"Let go of me. Please.. If it a money that you want, then I will give you all I have. Just please.. Let go of me."

And then just for a few second of being 'free', then the hand covered my mouth again.

Tears were already flow on my cheek from the beginning. This was not because of my hurted feeling anymore. This was because I was afraid. Very afraid.

I fought them with all my power. I could imagine how red my hand be. They grabbed my hand roughly. I tried kick them, but they didn't fall. They were all a well built men after all. They had this rough skin.

They dragged me to the car. Bit I kept struggling, trying to stay at my place. They were so strong, too strong for me.

And then next thing I felt was when I felt something hard was hit on my neck.

I could feel my body was falling and then blackness surrounded me.

Colton's POV

It had been 4 hours since she went. I didn't run after her because I knew she needed some times to be alone. She needed time for herself.

I hoped she would change her mind.

"Mom, did you see Lia?" I met my mom at our kitchen. When Lia was still here in this house as my fake girlfriend, I used to meet her in the kitchen with my mom, making a dinner.

"No, has she comeback?" She said while chopping something green.

"I don't know. I haven't seen her. I thought you might see her."

"No. I didn't see her. I'm not sure that she has comeback. Why don't you try to look for her in her bedroom?" She looked at me for awhile before focusing back at the green vegetable in front of her.

"I have. The door is locked. I even phoned her friend. Tori said she didn't see Lia since morning. She even told me when she wake up she didn't know Lia is." I desperately told my mom. I didn't know where to find her.

My mom put down the knife. This time she was completely focus on me, "Have you phoned Lia?"

"No answer. Her phone is not off though. I could hear the beeping sound."

"Then there is nothing we can do. Maybe she goes back to her house with her brother. Let's just wait. I'm sure she needs more time to be alone." I just nodded.
