Chapter 3

“You can’t be a grim reaper. You’re too cute to be a grim reaper.”

“...” The little animal couldn’t even reply to Bai Chen’s words because it was too speechless.

“Don’t call me cute,” the animal finally answered. “And I must tell you that I am not a dog, but I am a wolf.”

Bai Chen burst into laughter when he heard the animal say that it was a wolf. “You are too small and too cute to be a wolf! Are you a baby wolf?”

The little wolf was still floating in the air, but all of a sudden, it jumped onto the ground with its four legs before running towards Bai Chen and biting the man’s arm. The man screamed in pain as the little wolf’s sharp teeth pierced his arm.

“Do you think I’m still too small and too cute to be a wolf?” The wolf returned to its position, but instead of hovering or standing on its four legs, it proudly stood on its two legs with its arms folded across its chest.

Bai Chen was still wincing in pain as his right hand grabbed his left arm which had just been bitten by the not-so-cute wolf. He thought it was just a dream, but when he could feel the pain and also see the blood flowing from his injured arm, he knew he wasn’t dreaming.

“This wasn’t my dream, was it? Who are you? And where am I now?”

Being interrogated by the man once more, the wolf heaved a sigh the way humans usually sigh. “You can call me Bai Lang, and even if I’m not the grim reaper, I’m indeed the one who ended your life.”

Ignoring the ridiculous wolf name, Bai Chen focused on the wolf’s next explanation. “So, you admit that you have killed me? Why did you kill me? I’ll report you to the police!”

Bai Chen was so angry that he threatened the little wolf, but the wolf only chuckled instead of feeling scared. “Don’t you remember that you are dead? You won’t be able to report me to the police, young man.”

“...” Bai Chen could no longer answer because he just realized that he had died.

“You better listen to me carefully because I will explain everything to you now,” the little wolf spoke again when it didn’t get any reply from the blue-eyed man. “I was the one who ended your life, but there are reasons for that.”

The little wolf was in serious mode, and Bai Chen solemnly replied, “What reason? Did I commit too many sins in my life that you decided to snatch my soul when I was just about to have sex for the first time?”

Over and over again, Bai Chen kept mentioning how he was going to have sex for the first time. It caused the little wolf to roll its blue eyes.

“Wait!”

The wolf named Bai Lang couldn’t even continue his speech because Bai Chen suddenly shouted.

Bai Chen didn’t dare to speak carelessly because the white wolf had a grim expression on its face. The little wolf was serious, and he knew that what he was facing now was no joke either.

He made serious considerations this time, but in the end, he made a firm decision, “I will complete the mission.
