“WU JINHAI!” Bai Chen was shocked as he witnessed how Wu Jinhai’s back was stabbed by a sword that even penetrated the man’s chest, right through the man’s heart.

“You instantly believed in this ugly demon, but you were trying to run away when you saw the real thing, Bai Chen? When are you going to stop being so clueless, huh?” The man in red sounded extremely frustrated, and Bai Chen finally stopped keeping his feet away from the masked man.

He certainly didn’t want to trust anyone easily when he was in an unfamiliar forest, but somehow he could recognize Wu Jinhai’s tone and gestures when the man was frustrated. Could it be that this one was the real Wu Jinhai?

“Didn’t you hear when I said that he was a demon?” Frustrated, Wu Jinhai asked the man dressed in white standing before him. “That demon can eat humans and werewolves, and he tried to lure you using illusions. He is called the Yearning Demon, and once you make eye contact with him, you will see him as someone you want to see the most.”

“…” Bai Chen was silent as he listened to Wu Jinhai’s explanation.

“And just now you thought he was me, right, Bai Chen? Does that mean, I’m the person you want to meet the most?”

“…” Again, Bai Chen couldn’t answer.
