Chapter 329
Lord Protector Novel
Zeke agreed, âSure.â
Aaron told him, âGood. If this contract is void, youâll have to hand Linton Group to me.â
Everyone was full of admiration.
The patriarch of the Hinton family was indeed a wise and courageous man.
He was trying to acquire the Linton Group for nothing!
Laceyâs family immediately panicked and tried to persuade Zeke.
âZeke, you canât say yes.â
âYou know how hard Lacey has worked to build up Linton Group. She couldnât eat or sleep properly and even lost weight.â
âIt isnât worth it to sacrifice Laceyâs future just to show off this once.â
Nancy was glaring at Zeke furiously to show her disapproval, too.
However, Zeke disappointed them all.
âOkay, you have my word.â
Laceyâs family and Nancy were terribly disappointed.
However, the Riverdale Hintonâs were grinning widely.
They thought that Laceyâs husband was useless and crazy.
The tourist destination development project in Whiteridge was worth one billion. That tiny Linton Group would not be able to handle the huge project themselves.
Besides, even Lacey denied that Linton Group was involved in this project.
Would that kept man, Zeke Williams, successfully get the project himself? What a joke.
Nancy gritted her teeth in anger. âZeke, are you the devil? Can you explode right here, right now?â
Zeke ignored Nancy and turned to Aaron, âIf this contract is true, please step down from your position and hand it to my wife.â
The crowd immediately started criticizing Zeke in anger.
How dare he target the entire Hinton family?
Thatâs a huge disrespect.
Besides, can he control the Hinton family if heâs given the power to do so?
However, Aaron agreed at once. âSure.â
He was certain he would win this bet.
Zeke was handing Linton Group to him for nothing.
He gave the contract to his butler standing beside him. âButler, bring this contract to the Whiteridge project department to find out if the stamp is real or forged.â
The old butler smiled wryly. âMr. Hinton, this is necessary?â
Aaron proclaimed, âWe need to be fair. Since he has a death wish, weâll make sure he dies willingly. We canât frame him.â
The old butler nodded. âOkay.â
He took the contract and left the room.
Aaron announced, âLetâs continue the meeting.â
âWait,â Zeke cut him off. âWhere are our seats?â
The crowd exploded into mocking laughter.
Weâre kind enough to let you in.
How dare you demand to sit among us? Donât you know your stand?
Lily raised her voice, âEven I donât have a seat, let alone you.â
Adam spoke up, too. âDaniel, look after your son-in-law. Donât let him embarrass himself.â
Daniel sighed. âZeke, forget it. Weâll just stand. Weâve always stood in the past.â
Zeke shook his head. âThat was in the past. Now, as Iâm your son-in-law, youâre superior to others. No one can look down on you.â
âAaron, bring us some chairs. Or you can give up your seat,â he ordered.
âWho are you to order me around?â Aaron demanded furiously.
Zeke replied, âOh, I see you wonât give up your seats. Fine, everyone can stand with us.â
As he said that, he waved his hand and shot out a silver needle.
