Chapter 332
Lord Protector Novel
Lacey sighed. âNancy, please stop. I wonât break up with him even if I lose Linton Group.â
âWhy?â Nancy exclaimed in confusion. âDid he drug you or something? Why are you so attached to him?â
âLet me ask you a question. Are you willing to drop everything just to be with your savior right now?â
Lacey asked.
âOf course!â Nancy replied without much thought.
âThatâs what I thought,â Lacey said, satisfied.
âRubbish! He canât compare to my savior!â Nancy exclaimed.
âEven if I gave up everything that I had, my savior would be able to give me much more...â
âWell, I believe that even if I lost Linton Group, Zeke will be able to rebuild one for me, or maybe even more,â Lacey said.
Nancy sighed in exasperation. âLooks like Iâve lost you...â
âIâm not going to let that ba****d live on this planet any longer! He ruined my little sister, for goodnessâ
sake!â
Lacey smirked all of a sudden. âAre you sure?â
âWhat if Zeke is your savior?â
âLacey! Stop insulting me!â Nancy protested.
âEw... just, ew.â
Beside her, Lacey simply chuckled.
Soon, the Hinton family arrived at the entrance of the Hilton Hotel.
The entrance was swarming with people, and most of them came from prominent backgrounds or rich families.
Just like Aaron and his family, they had come to show off their riches so that they could get a chance to meet the mysterious person who took down the underworld forces.
To their disappointment, however, a private celebration feast was going on in the hotel, one in which the mysterious person would be taking part as well.
No one was to enter the premises before the mysterious personâs arrival.
Left with no choice, the crowd resorted to waiting outside, craning their necks to take a peek at the mysterious guest.
Aaron turned to Michael and whispered, âI thought you knew someone whoâs a security guard here?â
âCan you ask him if we can get a free pass?â
âThink about the boost to our reputation if we managed to get in before everyone else!â
Michael nodded and said, âIâll try.â
He then took out his phone and dialed a number.
âHey, Marcel! Are you busy now?â
âWhat do you want?â a gruff voice asked, obviously annoyed.
âYou see... Weâve already reserved a private room for our banquet last night, so can we...â
âNo. I canât let anyone in until my boss comes,â Marcel said flatly.
âIf thereâs nothing else, Iâm hanging up now.â
âWait!â Michael pleaded. âMarcel, canât you humor me for once? Money isnât an issue here.â
The mention of money made the security guardâs resolve crumbled.
He pondered over it for a moment and said, âIâll check with my superiors. Hold on.â
âThanks, Marcel!â Michael said happily.
After he hung up, Michael turned to Aaron and said, âGreat news, Grandpa! Marcel agreed to help us out.â
âIf everything goes well, we can get in before everyone else.â
Aaron broke out in a grin. âWell done, Michael. Looks like I did the right thing by investing in you.â
In the meantime, Zeke knew that the people in the hotel were waiting for his arrival.
âLetâs go, Lacey,â he said, tugging at Laceyâs arm.
She grabbed him before he could take a step forward. âWe canât go in just yet. Marcel hasnât given us the green light.â
But Zeke merely snickered. âThey would be standing out here all day if I donât go in.â
