Chapter 921
Lord Protector Novel
Lacey asked, âWhat way?â
Zeke answered, âDid you think Iâd merely invited Mr. Jenkins over for tea?â
Lacey brightened up. âThatâs right. Mr. Jenkins, Zeke has been with you the entire time during the incident. Iâm sure you can authenticate his alibi.â
Brent reassured her, âDonât worry. I know the difference between right and wrong.â
Meanwhile, Brent was smiling bitterly to himself.
Zekeâs the Great Marshal. He doesnât need me to be a witness for his alibi.
Suddenly, loud noises resounded from outside the door.
âPolice at work! Remain seated at your spots. Whereâs Zeke Williams? Tell him to come out.â
Zeke glanced at Brent. âBrent, you should stay hidden first.â
Brent queried, âMr. Williams, hadnât you asked me to be a witness for your alibi earlier? Why do you need me to stay hidden?â
Zeke responded, âDonât you want to take a look at how your men behave while youâre not around?â
Brent nodded instantly. âOkay. Iâll stay hidden for now.â
He prayed silently, I hope Lionel follows the proper procedures later. If he commits wrong, crossing the Great Marshal, Iâll have to suffer with him.
Soon, Zach and Lionel entered the room.
Soon, Zach and Lionel entered the room.
Zach had a smug look on his face while Lionel appeared murderous.
âYouâre Zeke Williams?â Lionel asked.
Zeke nodded. âYes, thatâs me.â
Lionel immediately ordered, âCuff him and take him away.â
âHold on,â Zeke muttered coldly, âWhy are you taking me away?â
Lionel replied, âYou clearly know why youâre being arrested.â
Zeke responded, âIâm sorry. I really donât.â
Lionel huffed, âStop pretending to be a fool. Take a look for yourself.â
He then handed him the footage.
After watching the footage, Zeke laughed, âHow can you be so sure that the one in the video is me and not the one beside you?â
Lionel scoffed, âObviously. Youâd said your own name in the video.â
Zeke questioned, âLet me ask you this. When you kill someone, are you likely to say your name, or someone elseâs?â
His question baffled Lionel. âI... I...â
Zach spoke up. âZeke, stop fooling around. Itâs an embarrassment for the Williams family to have someone like you. Iâm warning you on behalf of the Williams family. Youâre not worthy of sharing the last name of Williams. Hurry up and change it.â
Zeke glared at Zach. âWeâd come from the same womb, so why should we hurt one another?
Previously, I couldnât comprehend the meaning of that sentence, but now, I do. Zach Williams, youâve been unkind to me. Now, Iâll do the same to you.â
Zach grinned, âI canât believe a murder suspect is threatening me. Youâre simply adding on to your crimes. Mr. Gordon, I recall that youâve found three witnesses that have identified Zeke as the perpetrator.â
Lionel smacked his head and gasped, âWhy did I forget about that? Bring in the witnesses!â
Lionelâs men immediately brought in the three witnesses.
When the three men saw Zeke, they nodded firmly.
âThatâs right. Iâm sure heâs the murderer.â
âI remember seeing a scar on his arm when he was killing the elderly woman.â
âZach doesnât have a scar on his arm, but this guy does. He must be the murderer.â
Zeke looked at the three men and announced, âFaking evidence, especially for a murder case, will give you a sentence of at least ten years. Are you prepared to go to jail for ten years?â
