Siya's voice trembled with desperation.
"Veer ji, please... Mr. Unknown ko bula dijiye [please call Mr. Unknown]... vo hi Hume bacha sakte hai [only he can save us]..."
Tears streamed down her face, mixing with the dirt and blood. She could barely speak, her breaths were shallow and weak.
She was about to faint, her body swaying and her eyelids barely open. It was clear she had no energy left. Her clothes were drenched in her own blood, a sign of the horror she had faced. Her chunari was missing, probably lost while she was running.
Siya's situation was critical. She needed help fast, and the only hope was for Mr. Unknown to come and save her.
As Veer heard those words, shock rippled through him at the sight of her in such a state. Just hours ago, he had ensured [that] she was safely home, and now, she had been attacked again.
His instinct was to move towards her, to offer comfort and support, but before he could react, the heavy footsteps of the palace's king echoed down the staircase.
Veer froze momentarily, caught between his concern for her and the imminent presence of authority. The king's voice rang out, breaking the tense silence, "Kya ho raha hai, Veer?" (What is happening, Veer?)
It was a question loaded with expectation, hinting at the gravity of the situation that had unfolded under his watch.
As he walked down the stairs, everyone looked at him. His eyes were locked on Siya, and seeing her like that stirred something inside him. Anger flared up, his veins bulged, and anxiety overwhelmed him, turning his face red.
His eyes blazed fiercely, as if they could burn someone just by looking at them.
In that critical moment, all his anger dissipated as she approached, holding his hand gently, and said, "Hukum, Hume bachha le vo log yaha aate hi honge." (Order, they'll come here as soon as possible.)
Her words carried a weight of urgency and fear that gripped him instantly. His sole focus now shifted to her, her presence calming yet alarming at the same time.
The sight of her blood made him tense, the stark contrast against her pale skin a stark reminder of the danger they were in.
Her half-open eyes conveyed vulnerability that struck deep, stirring emotions he struggled to contain.
She seemed life itself to him now, fragile yet resilient in her own right.
The thought of anything happening to her filled him with dread, a fear that made his hands tremble like those of a man poised for revenge yet uncertain of his next move.
With a sense of urgency, he gently guided her towards a sofa, his actions deliberate yet filled with concern.
But she continued to murmur anxiously, her words a desperate plea tinged with a sense of impending doom, "Vo mar denge Hume bachha lo, vo Hume maar denge..." (They will kill us, save us, they will kill us...)
In that moment, the weight of responsibility settled heavily upon him.
This unknown girl, her fate now intertwined with his, represented not only a mystery but a pressing need for protection against an unseen threat looming large.
He carefully positioned her on the sofa and said, "Aapko behad chot lagi hai..." (You are severely injured...)
He paused briefly, gripping her hands tightly as her head rested against the sofa's back.
"Veer, doctor ko call karo jaldi!" he ordered urgently, his tone reflecting the gravity of the situation.
"Ji hukum," (Yes, as you command) Veer replied and called the doctor. He remained on the call when a security guard informed them that some unknown men were trying to enter, claiming to be her sister.
Raghav listened to him and immediately knew who they were referring to. He was still on his knees, seated in front of her, gazing at her face, which resembled a flower during the day but was now drenched in her own blood by night.
"Jo bhi andar aane dijiye," (Let whoever wants to come inside, come in) he said as he tried to remove her hands, but even in this condition, she held onto his hands as if her life depended on him. The guards responded, "Ji hukum," (Yes, as you command) and left.
Veer had just informed Raghav that the team of doctors would arrive in ten minutes, but every second felt like an eternity as Siya's condition deteriorated. Her breathing grew more labored, each breath a struggle that rasped through the silence. Blood continued to trickle from the wound on her forehead, a crimson reminder of the urgency of their plight.
Raghav stood resolute in front of her, his presence as a fragile shield against the encroaching chaos. He grasped her hands gently, his touch firm yet tender. In that moment, he called out to a nearby staff member, his voice carrying a calm authority that belied the storm inside him. "Bring a cloth," he instructed, his tone blocking no delay.
As the cloth was handed to him, Raghav moved with deliberate care. He dabbed at her face, the motions slow and meticulous, as if Siya were a delicate flower that might shatter with any misstep. His touch was gentle, almost reverent, and his eyes never left her face, absorbing every detail of her pained expression.
Siya, still conscious despite her agony, slowly opened her eyes. Her gaze met his, and she found herself staring at a face awash with a tumult of emotions. There was a tenderness there, a fierce protectiveness, and something else she couldn't quite decipher. Raghav's intentions and feelings remained an enigma, a complex mosaic that she struggled to piece together in her weakened state.
In those fraught moments, as the seconds ticked by with excruciating slowness, Raghav's actions spoke louder than words. The way he held her hands, the careful strokes with which he cleaned her face, all conveyed a depth of care and concern that Siya could sense, even if she couldn't fully understand.
As Siya kept her gaze on him, Raghav diligently wiped the bloodstains from her face. The tension in the room was palpable. Suddenly, two men entered the hall. It was as if Siya sensed their presence, prompting her to glance past Raghav. This made him turn as well. The two men stood there, their expressions and demeanor betraying their nature. To Raghav, it was evident that these were small-time criminals, nothing more than a minor threat.
As Siya's eyes captured the sight of the men, she quickly got to her feet, positioning herself behind Raghav. He remained standing, shielding her with his body. "Nahi, hume nahi jaan! Please, rok le hume" ("No, not me! Please, protect me"), Siya cried out, her voice trembling with fear. She clung to Raghav, her desperation palpable. It was clear to Raghav that if he left her now, these insignificant thugs would surely kill her. The terror in her voice revealed that these men were responsible for her current state.
This was the same girl who was ready to take on the world, determined to live life on her own terms. So why were these men hunting her down? What had she done to provoke such relentless pursuit?
Raghav held Siya's arm firmly, his eyes communicating a silent promise that he would not let anyone take her away. The air was thick with tension, each second stretching into an eternity. Before Raghav could utter a word to Siya, her brother's voice cut through the silence.( i didn't find any reason of adding her brothers name " aakhir meh marega is silent")ð¤ð¤.
"Bahen hai meri, do isse mujhe," (She is my sister, give her to me) he demanded, stepping closer to Raghav and Siya. His words were laced with a mixture of authority and desperation, his eyes fixed intently on his sister. In the midst of this charged confrontation, Veer, who had been observing from a distance, sprang into action. With a gun in hand, he advanced, ready to protect Raghav and Siya at any cost. However, a subtle but firm signal from Raghav stopped him in his tracks. Raghav's gesture was clear: he did not want violence to erupt. Veer obeyed, standing still but remaining on high alert, poised to act if the situation escalated further
"Mujhe tumse koi dushmani nahi leni do isse mujhe," (Don't let me have any enmity with you because of this,) Siya's brother declared as he advanced closer. However, Raghav raised his hands in a defensive gesture, signaling him to halt.
"Unki marzi hogi toh woh khud jayenge," (If they wish, they will go themselves,) Raghav asserted in a commanding tone that reverberated through the tense atmosphere. Siya's brother, momentarily taken aback by Raghav's authoritative demeanor, instinctively retreated a step, sensing the intensity of Raghav's resolve.
Raghav looked at Siya's brother with fiery eyes, a silent confrontation brewing between them. The tension was palpable, thickening the air around them. Slowly, with a deliberate calm that contrasted the storm in his eyes, Raghav turned to guide Siya to the sofa, a gesture of care amidst the turmoil. Yet, Siya resisted, her grip on Raghav's hands tightening, as if letting go would mean losing her last shred of hope.
"Don't let him take me away from you," she repeated, her voice trembling with desperation. Her eyes were a tumultuous sea of emotions-pain, hate, guilt, and an overwhelming sadness. Each emotion was a testament to her inner turmoil, a silent scream for help in a world that seemed determined to crush her spirit. In that moment, it was clear: Siya was trapped in a cage of circumstances, unable to break free on her own.
Raghav was still looking at Siya's face, his gaze lingering with a mix of emotions. The tranquility of the moment shattered as Siya's brother, a man devoid of respect, self-respect, and even a shred of humanity, spoke up. His words dripped with contempt and vulgarity, "Hai kon be vo teri ha... (Who is she to you?) khi uspe dil to nahi aa gaya tera? (Have you fallen for her?) Khi rakhel to nahi banayege ha? (Are you planning to make her your mistress?) Vaise sundar to bahut hai. (She is quite beautiful.) Kimat bata deta paisa to hai lagta kafi tere pass. (Just name the price, you seem to have a lot of money.)"
The crassness of his remarks cut through the night air, each sentence a brutal assault on decency. He was oblivious to the place he stood, the weight of his words poisoning the atmosphere. His last sentence, spoken with a sneer as he glanced around in the dim light, showed his complete unawareness of the gravity of his statements. The darkness around them seemed to amplify his ignorance, making his vile words echo in the stillness.
Raghav shut his eyes, frustration and anger bubbling within him. He swiftly turned toward Siya's brother, his eyes blood red with fury. "Bahen kaha tha na sale... tu unki parchhayi ke bhi kabil nahi hai. (I told you before, you wretch... you're not even worthy of her shadow.)" Raghav spat out, his rage palpable. He then grabbed a glass table that was between them and threw it aside, shattering the fragile barrier. "Na jane tujh jaise nich or gira hua aadmi inhe apni bahen kaise keh sakta. (I don't know how a lowly, fallen man like you can even call her your sister.)"
His hands trembled with the effort of restraining himself from unleashing violence upon Siya's brother. "Aur agar koi kisi istri ya aurat ki madad kar raha ho to iska ye matlab bilkul nahi hai ki uska us ladki ke sath koi rishta ho. (And if someone is helping a woman, it doesn't mean he has any kind of relationship with her.)" Raghav's voice dropped to a low but dangerously menacing tone as he concluded, "Zaban sambhal ke baat karna, ye mera ghar hai. (Watch your tongue; this is my house.)"
With these words, he held Siya by her waist, his grip firm yet protective. Despite her stubborn refusal to sit or leave her place, he remained steadfast, shielding her from further disrespect.
Raghav said enough, making it clear that Siya's brother should leave his palace before Raghav's anger drove him to violence. But destiny seemed to have different plans. Today, Siya's brother was no more than a foolish puppy to Raghav, seemingly intent on courting his own doom.
Siya's brother, still undeterred, retorted, "Jo bhi hai, gyan mat de. Isse de ya fir iski kimat de. (Whatever it is, don't give me lectures. Give her to me or name your price.)" He spoke hurriedly, perhaps thinking Raghav would give him money. It was astonishing how idiotic the man was.
Raghav, his focus still on Siya's face, replied calmly, "Mere paas itna paisa hai hi nahi ki main kabhi ek aurat, shakshat Shakti ko, khareed sakoon. (I don't have enough money to ever buy a woman, a living embodiment of strength.)"
Siya's brother, emboldened by his misguided sense of entitlement, demanded, "Siya ko de mujhe. (Give me Siya.)" He moved closer to her, closing the distance with each step. When he was just two steps away from her, Raghav's demeanor shifted instantly. His protective instincts flared up, and he looked at Siya's brother with the fierce intensity of a guardian, a rakshak ready to defend a fragile princess.
"Kabhi nahi. (Never.)," Raghav stated directly, his voice resolute and unyielding.
As Raghav's fiery eyes bore into him, Siya's brother found his courage evaporating, unable to take even one more step forward. He stood frozen, paralyzed by the intensity of Raghav's gaze.Raghav realized that even if he made Siya's brother leave today, this wretched man would find other ways to make her suffer. It was clear that simply driving him away wouldn't be enough to ensure Siya's safety and peace.
Raghav called out, "Veer."
Veer had been by Raghav's side for years, attuned to his every nuance and gesture. Without needing words, Veer understood Raghav's signal instantly.
In the next moment, Veer swiftly appeared by Raghav's side, ready to act with a Rajasthani Rajput talwar features a gracefully curved blade adorned with intricate patterns, paired with a hilt that blends sturdy functionality with ornate craftsmanship, often embellished with gems or precious metals. Its design symbolizes both martial prowess and cultural heritage.
