✯Twenty-Four✯ - Peppermint
Jacob's Game ✅
â·Chapter Twenty-fourâ·
After a very long and tense drive, Jacob finally pulled over. Teresa's eyes went out the window to take in the area they were in. Her eyes only seem to settle on one particular building.
A flower shop.
Jacob pulled open the car door by her side helping her out from the car. By this time the rain had begun to reduce, the need for an umbrella completely unnecessary.
"What're we doing here?" She asked in confusion. Her eyes were still skimming around the small shop. Arabella was written in a huge calligraphy font at the top of the shop.
"For our date." Jacob only replied. He took her hands in his, pulling her to follow his movement. A flower shop was the last place Teresa expected Jacob to take her to. He seemed more like the expensive restaurant kind of guy. The more time she gets to spend with him, the more she thinks maybe she didn't know Jacob as well as she had thought.
Jacob pushed the door open, while his hands were still entwined with her. A different flowery scent knocked Teresa right straight through her nose. The smell of nature, and beautiful enticing fragrance filled her nose.
Her eyes paid attention to the different shapes and colors of flowers resting around the counters on each side of everywhere. While they were outside she could already sight the beauty of the shop, but being inside was another different story to tell.
It felt like heaven.
Teresa's eyes went down to the bouquet of flowers in her hand. She wondered why he had brought the flowers all the way to her, when he planned to bring her here in the first place.
"Isabella." Jacob greeted a young lady who had just walked out of the counter then over to where they stood. Teresa couldn't help herself but to take notice of everything about the young lady.
For starters, Isabella had a huge grin on her face that would make any man melt on their knees on surrender. Such a beautiful look on her face made Teresa's hand on Jacob tightened, in what Teresa could understand as protectiveness. An action and feelings that took her by complete surprise.
But she couldn't blame herself. The sight of Isabella would make any woman around her feel self conscious. A feeling Teresa doesn't like one bit. Her eyes frowned down on the other lady, almost ready to devour her within a snap of a finger.
Teresa quickly shook her head at the barbarian thought that had just filled her head.
What the hell was she thinking?
Thankfully Jacob was oblivious to her rigid posture. But she was quick to hate his lack of attention when she noticed him giving Isabella the same smile in return. Teresa's uncontrollable eyes began shooting laser glare at Jacob.
Did he come here to see another woman? Or here for a date?
She could never understand men.
Her brown eyes divert back to the other lady. Isabella had on simple black leggings and a huge white shirt with a customized 'Hey!' written boldly on it. On her waist was an apron, tightened up to show the undeniably figure the lady possessed. She had an hourglass shape, a figure a lot of women would kill for. Her hair raven black at the top, and tinted blue at the tip, almost in a rebellious way.
Isabella felt like the type of lady who would care less about one's approval. She seems bold, something Teresa wasn't. She certainly had the quality Teresa didn't possess, a quality a lot of men love.
"Hi. You must be Teresa." Isabella said, surprisingly in a respectful and tender voice. Teresa blinked for a while at the hand Isabella offered her, before hesitatingly taking it for a shake. "Jacob here couldn't stop talking about you for hours since he came here a while ago." She said, throwing Jacob a wink with a smirk as she spoke.
Teresa at this point felt like a fool for having read too much when there was absolutely nothing to read about. An embarrassing blush made its way to her face. "I had no idea he did."
Isabella waved it all off. "Let me not keep you two love birds waiting." She teased as she turned around back to the counter, not before giving them both a wink that made Teresa fidget in her feet.
Love birds? She and Jacob?
There was no way she and Jacob were love birds. If they were compared with two animals who fought over something? Then that she would totally agree with.
"I'll see you later." Jacob spoke over his shoulders, as he led them both out of the flower shop through the backdoor. He immediately stepped out of her line of view when the door shut behind her.
It took her a few seconds to capture the view that had just greeted her sight.
There she was standing in the backyard of the flower shop. A small round table, with a white coverall on it. On the table was a transparent vase with a mixture of yellow and purple tulips inside. She noticed some petals on the floor leading straight to the table and two chairs.
At the top was a huge canopy covering the entire place, making sure the weather didn't ruin the things that had been arranged. A soft classic music was playing from an MP3 not too far from the table.
The settings weren't too much, and at the same time it wasn't too bland. It was just the way she likes it.
"Do you like it?" Jacob asked, a hint of uncertainty laced in his voice. It was obvious he was nervous as her face didn't give more reaction to anything.
A wicked thought immediately crawled its way through her head. Maybe it was about time she played Jacob a bit. It would probably cool the hit tension between them both.
She shrugged with a bored look on her face, forging nonchalantly. "You could have done better," She said in an unappreciative and ungrateful way, giving the entire surrounding a look of disdain. "But I guess this will do for now."
From the corner of her eyes she noticed Jacob stiffening, a flash of failure on his entire posture, before he was quick to mask it up, almost making it seem like it wasn't there a while ago. She would have to give it something huge for how quick he mastered the act of poker face.
Wanting to add more to his obvious sadden state, she sluggishly stroll around the surrounding area as if scrutinizing it with a look of disappointment. "I'm sure you organized this," She asked, giving him a brief glance. The silence proved her right. "Obviously." She scoffed in disappointment.
Deep down she felt guilty for displaying such an attitude on him outside. While inside she couldn't help the buzz of emotion that was almost taking her out of control at the very thought he had planned and took his busy time to organize the whole thing for her.
Jacob's face held that of frustration. His fingers scratched the stubbles on his beard. His forehead etched like he was deep in thought. "I didn't know what I was actually thinking of making this our first date. I'm sorry. There's a good restaurant just a few blocks from here, it-"
Teresa chuckled as she watched him ramble, interrupting him from finishing his words. She had wanted to test his limit with her, she wanted to push him more, but she found herself unable to do so. Somehow the sight of Jacob nervous and confused was too adorable for her to resist keeping up the pretense much longer.
Dropping her bag and the bouquet of flowers in her hands on the table, she slowly walked towards his direction. A huge grin on her face, an expression she hadn't for once given to him. Teresa swore she noticed him take in a shaky breath as he stared at her face.
Her hands capture him, pulling him closer to her. She placed each of his hands on her waist, and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Shut up and dance with me." She whispered very close to his face, making sure to give him a little peck at the corner of his lips, something she found herself wanting to do for a while. If not more.
For a while Jacob remained stiff, even as she moved her hips to the soft music playing in the background. His hand on her waist immediately clinched as a look of realization dawned on him.
Jacob's face immediately brightened up with a smile as his eyes were completely locked with her. "You vixen." He growls in amazement before slamming his lips on hers to her complete surprise.
Peppermint. That was the first thing to come to her mind the moment his lips covered hers in a strong, hard kiss. His lips were hard and soft, the same thing as if he was fighting a war with her. The way his mouth skillfully satisfied her with just the way he suckled and nipped on her lower lips made her whimper. His hands on her waist tightened in a way that was certainly going to leave a bruise.
He pulled her even more closer, leaving no air between them. She moaned as she felt the hardened groin of his on her stomach. He took the opportunity to skim his tongue inside hers, like he needed to have a take of her.
Teresa swore she saw stars, like a cherry has just blossomed. She had kissed and been this close to men even if they were all one night stands. But not one single man she had ever been with has ever made her feel this way Jacob made her feel. She felt out of the world. If the world was in destruction now, she wouldn't know. She had closed her thoughts from anything happening around, her complete attention was all focused on Jacob.
She couldn't stop herself from returning his kiss, moving along with his pace. Her tongue entangled along with him, making him let out a deep groan as one of his hands found way to her hair pulling her more closely to his lips.
At this point they were both in a full make-out section. The need to wrap her legs around his waist was so strong that she couldn't resist doing so. Thankfully Jacob helped her by placing his hands at her upper thigh to lift her up. She took the opportunity to wrap her legs around his torso, prompting her black pencil mouth, elastic skirt to rise up above her upper thigh, reviewing her high transparent black stockings.
She felt her butt land on something she could guess was the table. But she was too far intoxicated with Jacob's lips to care. His mouth left hers, almost making her groan in disapproval, but she soon forgot doing so when she felt his lips by the side of her neck sucking it hard, before licking it like it was his new lollipop.
She left out a loud moan as he did so, and at the same time one of his hands found its way under her shirt. Her jacket was long forgotten and removed to be dropped on the floor.
Teresa had no idea how they had started from teasing each other and dancing, to be at the verge of having sex outside someone's backyard. That should have been enough to make her snap out of the sexual haze between them, but she found herself unable to, it had been too long since she has ever been this close with any man. She couldn't help but want more.
His lips immediately snapped back on hers, muffling the loud moan leaving her moan, not wanting to give themselves away to a probably obnoxious Isabella.
One of his hands captured her breast from underneath her bra, making her whimper in his mouth, as he pinched her hard nipple between his fingers. She felt the zap of sensation of what he had just done crawl right through the intimate part between her legs.
She wanted more, making her rub herself on his groin. Jacob's body quickly pulled away from hers the moment she did that, putting a respectable space between them.
The coldness from his body leaving hers, almost brought regret to her. She missed the warmth his body provided. The sound of them both breathing hard filled the entire surrounding, almost overtaking the music still playing.
Jacob looked completely ravishing. His brown hair stood up and tattered, probably due to her running her fingers through it. His lips were red and swollen from their kiss. The green orbs of his eyes darken in what Teresa knew was lust.
He wanted her. Just as much as she wanted him.
He was pacing around cursing under his breath, speaking incoherent things she couldn't understand, before he stopped to gaze at her again. "Shit Teresa!" He cursed out again, his voice hoarse in list, making Teresa gulp hard. "Stop giving me that look."
"What look?" She quivered her brow up in confidence she didn't know she possessed. A new found feeling at the awareness of the power he held over Jacob.
"You very well know what you're doing. Let's not do this now, or I swear I'd throw you in my car and take you to my house to show you the things you do to me." She gasps at his blunt confession, almost choking at the process.
She quickly removed herself from the table she sat on to straighten her skirt, and pat her definitely rumpled hair. Reality of what she had wanted a while ago slammed her like a rock.
Jacob notices everything stride towards her. His hands touched her cheek, lifting her gaze back on his. "There's nothing more I want than to take you right now and here. But I want to do this right with you. You deserve more than just having sex. You deserve to be treated like royalty." He couldn't seem to help himself to peck her lips. "Please let me do so, by starting from here." He pleaded with such sincerity that almost brought her to tears.
At that point she knew and could feel how much Jacob really felt about her. Maybe it was about time she didn't begin to doubt his intentions, and starts believing what he had confessed to her about his feelings for her years ago.
She would give this a chance without a second thought and see how it really goes. But she swore if she found out he was either using her, or playing games with her. She would be done with him.
At his word she nodded. After some while they went back to their date.
