Chapter Forty
Sinful Attractions
Trinity
Mia and I exchange a look of shock. The depth of the corruption, reaching all the way to the Captain, is hard to believe.
Eduardo - Well, ladies, I donât think any of us saw this coming.
Trinity - You can say that again! Holy shit.
Iâm lost in thought when I notice Miaâs intense gaze on me.
Mia - Whatâs on your mind?
Trinity - Eddie, can you call the guys out here for a minute?
Eddie raps on the glass and I try to piece together my thoughts. It doesnât take long for Stephen, Clint, Phil, and Sergio to join us.
Stephen - Whatâs up, Eddie?
Eduardo - Not me, your wife wanted to see you.
Stephen comes over, bending down a bit and wrapping his arms around my waist so he can look into my eyes.
Stephen - Whatâs going on, sweetheart?
Trinity - Sergio, I think we should keep tracking him until weâre sure this information and evidence he claims to have is legitimate. Once we get back and check out this locker, and actually put a stop to all this once and for all, then heâs free to walk. Why should he walk now if we canât resolve it and this lingers on? Iâd sooner feed him to the wolves, so to speak.
Everyone mulls this over for a moment.
Trinity - No, no, no, wait!
Stephen - What is it, doll?
Trinity - Keep him here until we get it sorted. Heâs stolen from you both, it would be just as easy to lie to us. He wouldnât think twice about it to save his own ass.
Philippe - This is good, sweetheart. Sheâs good, son. You definitely picked a queen here.
My husband pulls me into him, hugging me tight as he kisses the top of my head, then leans into me.
Stephen - How do you do it, doll?
I look up at my husband.
Trinity - Do what, baby?
He whispers softly to me.
Stephen - Keep on amazing me. I love you so fucking much.
He bites my ear gently, causing me to lean into him more.
Stephen - Fuck, you get me so hard. That brain of yours is the sexiest thing about you, momma. Youâre gonna get it so bad when we get back to the hotel.
He sticks his tongue in my ear, causing my core to instantly pulse.
And just like that, as if nothing happened, the teasing prick carries on, business as usual, like he didnât just soak my panties instantly! Asshole!
Stephen - So we keep him here until we get it resolved, then heâs free to go. Of course, we donât keep him tied up. He can live normally, no luxuries, but breathing at least!
Trinity - Then once we check this locker, we work out a plan on how to end this once and for all.
Stephen - Then he is free to disappear for good.
Trinity - OH, OH, OH!
Everyone laughs at my sudden new idea.
Stephen - Haha, calm down, baby. What is it?
Trinity - Benji!!!! We need to talk it through with Benji. If we canât think of anything else, he may know a legal way out of this.
Everyone seems to nod and agree, and I feel my husband squeeze me a little tighter. As they start to walk past to head back into the room, Sergio pats Stephen on the back.
Sergio - Youâre a lucky boy, kid. Sheâs a smart woman, this one.
Stephen - Donât I know it, she picked me after all.
I canât help but laugh to myself.
Stephen - You really are amazing, you know that, momma?
Trinity - Get back in there and finish this so I can get you back to the hotel, clean your hand up, and ice it.
Stephen - I love you.
He gives me a quick kiss and heads back in as Mia and I watch from the other side.
Philippe - Alright, Chad, hereâs whatâs going to happen. Youâre going to be staying here for a little while...
Sergio - You donât have to stay locked up, you can stay in your old room, youâll be fed and kept comfortable. You do not leave until we say so. You move, I shoot you.
Clint - Between the eyes.
I see Stephen smirk at that.
Philippe - They will head back to America in a few days. You will give them that key and locker number.
Philippe - If what you say is true and legit, only once they have gotten rid of this problem once and for all, will we let you go, to disappear, as you put it. Although the irony of that word should not be lost on you. Do you understand me?
I watch as he just nods his head.
Philippe - Understand me fully here - if your information proves legitimate, and once they have managed to make sure this captain, detective, and problem is dealt with never to rear back up again, then you will be given $500,000 and you will never show your face again.
Sergio - If this proves to be just more lies from you, then I will shoot. If you try to escape or contact anyone, I shoot. If they canât solve this problem and get rid of it, I shoot. You! You hear me?
Chad just nods.
Sergio - I couldnât hear you, Chad. SPEAK UP!
Chad - Y... Yes, I hear you. Yes.
Sergio - Smart boy, Chad. Isnât he a smart boy, Stephen? That must have been why you hired him, right?
Stephen just smirks as if he knows whatâs coming, and quicker than I could blink, Sergio punches him in the mouth.
Sergio - Eddie, get Paolo to sort him out while heâs still unconscious. He goes in his old room and it gets locked.
Eduardo - On it.
Eddie comes out to us and pulls his phone out. Without saying a word, he walks up to Mia and gives her a kiss on the cheek. He then walks over to me, gives me a kiss on the cheek, and gives my stomach a soft rub.
Eduardo - Ladies.
He nods his head and walks out.
Sergio - Phil and I will sort the rest. I think you boys have had enough for tonight. Take your families back to the hotel and take care of them. We will all sit down tomorrow and work out where to next.
Stephen - Thank you both.
Clint - Seriously. We are indebted to you both.
Philippe - Never, my boys. We are proud of you. You both stood here as men tonight, not boys, and I am so very proud of you. Come here.
Phil gives them both a hug.
Sergio - We will see you boys tomorrow. Go be with your wives and kids.
They both hug Sergio and thank him.
They come out and come over to us.
Clint - Can we go the fuck back to the motel now? I love you guys so much, so no bullshitting right now.
Mia - Bullshitting what, baby?
Clint - Iâve got such a hard-on for you right now, Mia. Tonight worked me up too much. Letâs go back to our room and let me put a baby in you.
We all burst out laughing.
Clintâs voice cuts through the laughter. âCome on, man. You canât tell me you donât feel the same. That you donât want to rush home and make love to your wife like thereâs no tomorrow?â
The room fills with laughter again, but my husbandâs eyes are locked on mine. He flashes me that irresistible smirk of his and winks.
