What's That Supposed To Mean? - Werewolf Romance

HEY GUYS!

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU READ THE CHAPTER! :)

It's nothing serious or anything, I just really want you to know that this chapter may be really weird and confusing, especially at the end but it's late and I'm tired and I do not like to edit and stuff and also, I want to publish a chapter for you.

But anyways, I'm not really good at these scenes either, but I try. Hope you enjoy this, though, and sorry for any future confusions or questionsmarks. If you have a question about anything, ASK! :)

Enjoy!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Chapter 13

Thirty minutes later we were at the Black’s front door. I felt weird with Arianna in normal clothes and me in a dress and heels. We decided that if they asked, my date didn’t go so well and I’d been outside with Arianna a few hours and never had time to change. We knocked again, right when the door opened by Caleb.

“Hey-… wow. You look… great, Sam,” he said, chuckling nervously.

“Thank you, Caleb.” I smiled, knowing he was so confused to why I was wearing this.  “Are you guys busy?”

“No, no, come in. Guys, Sam and Arianna are here!” he called out as he shut the door behind us. Ari and I went to the living room where they always hung out.

“Hey everyone,” I said. “What’s up? Can we join?”

“Sam, Ari, hey,” Jacob said. He grinned. “A dress? How comfy and casual of you, Sam.”

“Oh shut up.” I laughed. “I didn’t have time to change. Where are the rest of the Blacks?” I asked as we sat down on the couch.

“Mase is with his girl, the twins are out somewhere with a bunch of guys from the pack, Noah is in his room,” Arianna blinked at me discreetly, “and Thresh is with my dad on the back yard, putting back the bench they built a few months ago; it broke two weeks ago because someone sat on it… with a lot of… weight.”

Caleb burst out laughing, his booming laughter filling the house.

“That someone was you, you dork!” he said, laughing. Arianna and I laughed at Jacob’s face as he glared at Caleb.

“Whatever, it was old!”

“Fatty,” Caleb said between laughter.

“At least I didn’t break the kitchen chair last year. And that was professionally made!”

Caleb gaped, eyes wide.

“Oh no you didn’t,” he breathed. “I had a rough month back then! You know that!”

“I know you couldn’t stop eating, yes.” Jacob smirked. “Who’s laughing now, fatty?”

“You guys sure break a lot of things in this house. I’m pretty sure chairs aren’t the only things, but I’ll be right back!” I said, laughing as I walked away. I had to get on with this already or I wouldn’t do it. I walked quietly up the stairs.

The plan was to just walk into his room, let him see me in the dress which would affect him a lot – everyone knew Noah loved these things very much – and talk a little teasingly before leaving him there. I couldn’t get it out of my head that we might be mates. It was disturbing to have it in the back of my mind all the time; it almost stopped me from doing this.

I didn’t want to do something that might get it confirmed. My mother had told me about the ways you could find out how someone was your mate and this was close. There were just some things that didn’t give me the conformation of this because Noah and I never were together, we weren’t friends to hang out or stuff to see or feel those things that said we were connected in a special way.

I knew I should do this quickly because otherwise my long absence would get suspicious and I didn’t need the guys after me with their questions and teasing.

I made sure to walk more on my toes so that the heel didn’t hit the floor. As soon as I came on the carpet I relaxed and walked the last steps towards the door to his room. It stood ajar (A/N: Do you say it like that?) and I carefully looked around inside, trying to find him. Maybe he was somewhere behind the door where I couldn’t see him. All I could see was an empty made bed and his desk and an empty chair.

Oh come on, just walk in already!

Okay. I put my hand very carefully on the door, ready to push it open, when I felt someone’s breath on my neck. I immediately froze, wanting to run away because I could literally feel that it was Noah behind me and it wasn’t far away that he stood. He stood so close I could feel the fabric of his jeans on my thighs. Damn this dress, why weren’t you longer?

I turned around with a smirk, hiding my busted face. He wasn’t smirking or grinning or anything usual that he did when he saw me this close. This time he was staring at me, eyes coming up from my legs to my face and down again. His eyes came up to mine once again, one eyebrow slightly raised.

“Looking for something?” he asked in quiet husky voice. The same voice that made my knees weak. Did he know that? It wasn’t like I wanted them to get weak; they just did. Stupid knees.

“Maybe,” I answered, still smirking. I wasn’t going to let him show how surprised I was that he’d busted me sneaking in to his room. I knew how to play a guy and I wasn’t afraid to do it, especially not on Noah. I was going to play along smoothly and not back down for even a split second.

I wasn’t even nervous or doubtful about doing this anymore; this was going to be fun. I was the woman and I had the power over him, one way or another.

“May I ask what?” He moved forward slightly, closer to me. He probably thought I was going to back away like a scared puppy with no words. Hah, as if. I stayed where I was, looking him up and down as he watched me.

“Depends,” I answered, giving him a sideway smirk (??). I had never really realized that his eyes were even more beautiful up close and Noah had been close enough times already. They were even more dangerous and mysterious looking and as we were staring straight into each others eyes, I couldn’t help but notice and appreciate it. One of the things that were my weaknesses was eyes. If a guy had beautiful eyes/eye color, nothing else seemed to matter. And if the guy was hot and good-looking, that was a bonus and made me literally forget about everything else around me.

This guy had both, but I already knew that and it wasn’t affecting my game.

“On what?” Noah asked, giving me another once over.

“On what I’m looking for,” I answered simply.

Noah was amused, a small side-grin forming on his face. He knew as well as I did that I was playing with him and even though he wasn’t affected yet, he would be, very soon. I looked down quickly, noting how close we stood. We’d both be stupid if we denied the feeling between us and the heat of our bodies touching. I was trying really hard to ignore the sparks and explosions in my body and in my head as I stood there, confident and smirking, but they were getting to me. My wolf was so excited that I sometimes almost lost control of trying to ignore the feelings and that would mean letting them take over, which was not good.

“Hm,” Noah said, taking a step forward. I had no other choice than to take that same step backwards because otherwise he would step on me. We were slowly moving into his room as he continued walking forwards and I continued walking backwards. I kept my smirk, though, and when I felt the wall behind me, I knew he had led me there on purpose. He was trapping me, trying to take the lead in the game. He probably already took the lead but I wasn’t giving up. I always won and I sure wasn’t going to lose to Noah.

“Hm,” he repeated, pretending to think as he put one arm on each side of me, right next to my shoulders. Our skin almost touched and the heat was radiating between us. “I’m not quite sure… if this dress actually looks good on you or if you look good in this dress.”

“Honey,” I said, scoffing. “We both know your answer, don’t try to deny it.”

“Oh and how do you know which one I think is the right answer?”

“Please, it’s written all over you. I can see it as clear as the sky. The lust in your eyes,” I said in my “sexy” voice. It was quite fun because I had only talked to a guy like this once and that was pretty much a joke. This was starting to feel very real. “The way your body reacts to mine,” I continued. “It’s obvious.”

He lost control for a second and looked down at my eyes, the hunger clear in those dark eyes. I had him exactly where I wanted him and I was even more sure when I bit my lower lip and his breathing quickened a little. Oh how fun I was having. I wasn’t sure I could really pull this off at first, but I was actually good at this.

“I have a question,” Noah said, looking up again. “If you’re not telling me what you were looking for, tell me this: Did you find it?”

Those last words were enough for me to know what he was talking about and he knew I knew as well.

Those last words were enough to trigger something in both of us and before we knew it, we crashed our lips to each other.

Noah Black

I knew I had her.

I saw how something in her eyes triggered when I said those words; I saw how her expression ever so slightly changed when she realized what had happened. Oh how I was good.

But I had also just lost to myself – she was too tempting and at the exact same moment, we crashed our lips to each other and even though this might sound cheesy, as soon as our lips met, there was like an explosion in every part of my body and I mean every part.

Her face, which I dare to admit is beautiful, were in my hands now after I had been unable to stop myself from touching her waist, her hips, her back and her hair. To be honest, those legs had done it all in the beginning. And the entire body and the sexy look on her face, of course, but I had never seen any girl with legs like that and I had seen many legs.

When I first saw that she was going to sneak into my room, I wanted to tell her off but then I saw that dress on that smoking hot body with those long legs I couldn’t handle and decided to have some fun. After all, something was going on between us and we both knew it.

This feeling that was passing between us every second was strong, let me tell you, but it was good. My whole being felt good and I wanted her even closer, if possible. Her arms were around my neck and her hands were in my hair, giving me more goose bumps. My hands sneaked down to her thighs and while having this crazy and wild make-out session, I grabbed her thighs and lifted her up. She immediately responded, locking her legs around my waist as I pushed her against the wall, needing more of her.

Samantha Riley

The feeling of our bodies against each other was unbelievable and I couldn’t stop, even though a voice in my head told me to. And I can’t explain that feeling when I kissed him. I just can’t. It was like fireworks and adrenalin kicks all at once.

Our lips were moving together, in sync, and we were touching each other like two animals. I was aware of this somehow but at the same time, I wasn’t because I couldn’t stop thinking about the amazing feeling as we were kissing and the fact that I wanted more all the time.

He had lifted me up and to be honest, that turned me on even more. His hands were on my ass now as I was pushed against the wall while we were kissing like crazy people. My hands were living their own life and I didn’t even realize that I had pulled his shirt off until I felt the bare skin under my palms. I opened my eyes and when I saw his chest and those abs that were simply wonderful, I snapped out of it. His chest looked so good that it had literally snapped me out of it and now we were staring at each other, both of us breathless.

I immediately jumped down from his grip, staring up at him, shocked at what we had just done. I walked away from him, standing a bit further away. This wasn’t good, this wasn’t good at all. We shouldn’t have kissed because that only gave me more questions, especially about the mate thing and I didn’t want nor need that right now. I was supposed to just tease him a little, get my revenge on him and leave! I didn’t plan on making out like an animal with Noah freaking Black!

Ugh, this was so bad and unnecessary, even though I couldn’t help but admit that the kiss had been amazing and wonderful and much more.

“I can’t believe this,” I mumbled to myself, standing with my back to him. “This is not good. I’m sorry, I should never have come here in the first place.”

“Well, I didn’t mind,” he said and I glanced around at him to see him grin.

“It’s not funny, Noah,” I said quietly, turning around. “This is serious.”

He sighed. “Well, what do you want me to say? That I’m sorry? Because I’m not.”

“Yeah but… This doesn’t make any sense. We don’t make sense together, you know that.” I kept looking straight ahead, wondering what this all meant and how everything was going to be now. Awkward. Complicating. Weird. Hard. I don’t know. I should’ve just stayed home with my stupid brain; that would be less complicated. I’d rather listen to the questions and answers and discussions in my head than having this but it was too late now anyways.

“We don’t have to make sense,” Noah said, this time as quiet as I. I had never heard him talk like that. He sounded, serious and… vulnerable. I felt proud to be one of the few that had but then I remembered why he was and I forgot all about that pride.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” I asked.

“It means that I wouldn’t die if there was a we. But that doesn’t mean I like you now,” he added quickly.

I chuckled, glancing to see him smile a little. A genuine smile from Noah Black. Who knew?

I took a deep breath. No time for those thoughts now or smiles and jokes. This was serious and I was mad at myself for letting it go so far and for letting it affect me so much. I just… really liked it and it annoyed me a little, because this was Noah Black and I was Samantha Riley. There was too much past and bitterness between us for me to accept it.

“I have to go,” I said, getting up. I smoothed down my dress and fixed my hair so that it looked like I didn’t just have an amazing and wild make-out session and walked over to the door.

“Not a word to anyone about this, you hear me?”

“Or what?” he grinned.

I smirked over my shoulder.
