What's That Supposed To Mean? - Werewolf Romance
Heeeeeeeey everyone! Sorry for the long wait!
Happy May or something hahaha, let's welcome this month with happiness and positive energy! (WTF?) Anyways, I'm in a weird mood haha :)
Chapter 20 today... I've come pretty far, or something, right? For being me that is. I personally like when a story has over... 25-30 chapters, yeah, so... But anyways, I'll write as much as I can. I don't know if there will be a sequel to this one, I feel like I want to start with a new story but I don't know what it should be about haha lol, but anyways, sorry!
ENJOY! :)

Chapter 20
I was healed three days later, luckily and when Dr. Rain had come back to check on me he had said that my body and my wolf was strong and the fact that I had barely moved out of bed these days, helped a lot. I was glad I could walk without feeling pain in my rib again and I didnât feel exhausted anymore. Being in bed and sleeping so much really gave me back my energy and I now felt alert as heck.
Noah had also visited me two days out of these three but he didnât stay that long. His excuse for my dad was that because he had found me and helped me, he wanted to just check on me and see how I was doing. My dad and everyone else seemed to buy it, though, so I didnât care. It was nice when he was here because we got even more used to each other and us being mates and having that special connection that we felt everytime we were together. And away, for that matter. My wolf practically whined whenever Noah left and even though I didnât mind, it was starting to get annoying.
Also, Arianna had been with me a few hours everyday and we talked about pretty much everything. She came to me half the day and spent the other half with Aaron, her mate. Well, to put it short, many came to visit me even though I hadnât been injured seriously. The Blackâs had come, every one of them and their jokes helped me not feeling bored and alone in my room, because letâs face it, three days in bed was pretty much mentally exhausting even if it wasn't that much.
Tomorrow was Monday, though, the first day of training. I was pretty excited and looking forward to it and I hoped, and suspected, that we wouldnât start off slow. We needed to learn everything fast and I was pretty sure they wanted to start off with something useful already since we both knew how to fight to a certain level anyway.
I took a shower and washed my hair and shaved and all that, preparing for tomorrow. It was six oâclock and the sun was already starting to go down. I decided to go over at the Blackâs when I had finished and my hair had air dried. It didnât happen often but my hair was weird and different. It was naturally straight but naturally curly, does that make any sense? Sometimes when it air-dried, it stayed pretty straight, maybe a little bit wavy, but sometimes, it turned curly. Not curly-curly but still curly. I knew that my motherâs hair was straight but on my fatherâs side, the women had all curly hair, including my Aunt Bianca. Arianna had more of the straight hair and Willa had wavy, a bit more to the curly side, but her hair was cut to right under her hair anyways so it didnât always show.
I put on a pair of jean shorts that I found in my closet and a normal fitting black t-shirt to that, put on my converse loosely and left. It wasnât cold at all; it was still warm, but not hot. It was this nice warmth that just wrapped around you and your skin and made you want to stay in the sun.
I walked over to the Blackâs house and knocked on the door. I waited for ten seconds and knocked again, right when the door opened by no other than Michael. Surprised, I stood there with my brows up.
âHey,â I said. âWhat are you doing here?â
Michael laughed, letting me in. âIâm discussing a few things with Alpha John,â he answered. âTomorrowâs the first day of training.â
âYeah, I know.â I smiled. âIs anyone home?â
âYou mean the guys? Yeah, I think Jacob and Noah are the only ones home. Theyâre in their rooms upstairs.â
âThanks,â I said with another smile. I walked with him to the kitchen. âHey, Uncle John.â
âSammy, hey,â he said, smiling brightly at me. âHow are you?â
âGreat, thanks. How are you, young man?â I grinned as he chuckled, shaking his head.
âI told you, youâre not the only one to joke about my age. Iâm very good, though, thanks for asking. Here to see the boys?â
âYes! I thought I might go up and kick their lazy butts.â
âSounds perfect to me. Make sure you kick hard.â
I laughed, nodding. âDonât worry, Uncle J.â
I walked out and just as I was going up the stairs, Michael joined me. I smiled when I looked at him and saw that he was grinning like a fool.
âThereâs something about you today,â he said, searching my face, his eyes lingering a little on my lips. I looked away, straight forward.
âReally? Whatâs that?â I asked, amused.
âYouâre glowing.â
âDonât I always glow?â I chuckled. âIâm hurt, Michael.â
He laughed. âNo, you do. Itâs just stronger today.â
âWonder why?â I mused, taking the last step up. We were standing in the hallway of bedrooms now and he was standing a bit too close for my liking. After all, I had a mate now and I was pretty sure he was enough eye candy for me. That did not mean that Michael wasnât attractive, though, any woman could see that.
âProbably because you saw me,â he joked seriously, shrugging. I laughed, shaking my head.
âProbably,â I joked back. A door in the hallway opened and we both turned to see Noah coming out. His eyes were hard as he looked between us and then on Michael. Oh-ohâ¦
âHey, man,â Michael said, completely oblivious to the tension now. Either he was stupid not to see the hating glare Noah gave him or he knew very well what was going on and said nothing. Noah raised his eyebrows at him, not greeting back. Ugh, this meant nothing good.
I was just about to say hello or anything, just to get his attention away from Michael when Michael spoke.
âSomething wrong?â he asked, clear mischief in his eyes. Okay, he wasnât stupid. He was playing along. Maybe he thought that Noah was jealous and liked me and nothing more and was now challenging him. Either way, this wasnât good.
âYou tell me,â Noah said calmly and quietly back as he slowly walked over to us, standing in front of Michael.
âThere is nothing wrong, if you ask me. What do you want me to tell you?â Michael grinned smugly.
âWhat youâre doing here with her.â
âNoah,â I groaned but neither paid me attention. Then I saw Jacob standing right outside his door, grinning like a mad man at the scene in front of him. His grin widened even more when our eyes met and I tried to beg him to come and stop it. He just shook his head, leaving my eyes. I sighed, watching the two idiots.
âOh Iâm sorry,â Michael said. âI didnât know you owned her.â
Suddenly, Noah had Michael pushed up against the wall, his arm right on his throat as he held him there. Michaelâs eyes widened but he hid it as quickly as it came.
âNoah!â I hissed.
âI donât own her, âhe hissed to Michael. âBut sheâs mine, you hear me? Touch her or flirt with her ever again and Iâll rip your fucking head off, got it?â
Michael looked like he was going to say something back but then realization hit him. He looked between me and Noah, eyes wide.
âWait... Youâreâ¦? Youâre mates?â he asked in shock. I nodded, smiling apologetically. I felt bad for leading him on the way I did, even though I didnât play back when he flirted. I was being myself, thatâs all.
âYes, weâre mates so sheâs off limits, you got it?â Noah growled. Michael nodded and Noah slowly let him go.
âOf course,â Michael said, almost speechless. âIâm sorry, Samantha, I thought you didnât-â
âItâs okay. Iâm sorry, too. I shouldâve told you but I didnât lie when you asked me that day, I just wasnât sure.â
Michael nodded, looked at Noah quickly and then at me and went back downstairs. I sighed of relief, happy that nothing more had happened and then glared at Noah.
âReally?â I whispered, so that Uncle John or Michael wouldnât hear us downstairs. âPushing him against the wall and threatening him? A simple,â weâre mates, stay away,â wouldâve done it!â
âI told you he wanted something from you,â Noah said. âI told you the same day you talked on that porch. And Iâm sorry if I donât want guys chasing you when youâre mine.â
âGuys donât chase me, Noah, it was one guy and he was being nice. So what if he flirted? He didnât know we were mates. Please, you donât have to go all violent on them.â
Noah just glared at me and marched back to his room. Thatâs when I saw Jacob and realized he had heard every word. He was staring, gaping.
âYou're mates?!â he hissed. âHoly shit! Where was I when this happened?! You two, though, you two? Mother Nature really did it this time, didn't she?â he laughed.
âShut up, Jake,â I said as I walked over to Noahâs room. He had shut the door; he was clearly upset now just because I had yelled at him for attacking Michael. I would never have guessed that he was such a⦠jealous guy, if thatâs the right word. I think it is. I donât mind it, because it shows how much he actually wants me with him, but his violence gets over board sometimes.
âJacob,â I said. âDonât tell anyone, okay? Weâre not planning on letting everyone know just yet. We just found out.â
âBut you tw-â
âYes, I know!â I said impatiently. âWe think itâs weird, too, but being mates takes all of that away. Now go to your room and forget about this.â
âImpossible but fine.â He chuckled and disappeared back into his room.
I knocked on Noahâs door before walking in. He was standing with his back to me, looking out the window. His white t-shirt fit him perfectly and showed his back muscles; I wanted to touch his skin again, to feel that same power when we had kissed in his room. Instead, I walked over, took a deep breath and put my arms around his torso from behind.
I felt him stiffen under my touch because letâs face it, this was new and awkward but I knew he liked it as much as I did. He relaxed almost immediately but didnât turn around.
âIâm sorry for yelling at you,â I mumbled. âI just donât want you to get all violent. Youâre getting angry for no reason at all; you should trust me enough to know that I wouldnât do anything or even flirt back with a guy now.â
âI do trust you,â he muttered. âItâs them I donât trust.â
âTrusting me is enough, you know. I can take care of them myself.â
He turned around now, putting his hands on my arms. âSamantha, I know you can and I trust you but I still canât watch or hear when guys drool all over you. Itâs disturbing. It annoys me.â
I laughed out loud; he was back to being himself. âAnnoys you, huh? Great reason to push guys against walls.â
He grinned. âIs it a great reason to press you up against a wallâ¦?â he asked in his husky voice, pulling me closer. âTo kiss your neck⦠and your lipsâ¦.â
I wanted to laugh and to kiss him right then and there because of the way my body reacted to that voice, but instead, I had my poker face on and simply said, âNo,â and shrugged out of his arms. I left him there, shocked and speechless and I turned around, smiling smugly as I walked around in his room, pretending to be interested in everything but him.
âNice,â I said, picking up a football. âWe should play sometime.â
Before I knew it, Noah attacked me from behind, arms around my waist and threw me on his bed as I screamed with laughter for him to let me down. The bed bounced as I lay there, thrown by Noah and then he was on top of me.
âI think itâs a great reason,â he said, growling in a lustful way. His lips met mine before I could say anything.
