Chapter 206
Bride Behind The Mask
Yunaâs heart fluttered, her face a mix of tearâstained joy and worry.
Freddie can I trust you? A month ago, you swore youâd marry me. But then⦠never mind. Freddie, I donât mind if you donât marry me. My only concern now is for the baby inside me.â
1 wonât let our child be born without a father For its sake, I will marry you.â
Frederick made himself perfectly clear.
He was willing to marry her solely because she was carrying his child, and that was it.
There was no other reason, and he could never love her.
But for Yuna, the prospect of becoming a member of the Winston family was enough!
Yuna flung herself into Frederickâs arms, her tears soaking his shirt. âThank you, Freddie. Thank you for giving me and our child a chanceâ
Mr. and Mrs. Ablett, who had been arguing with Frederick, fell silent at his words.
Frederick, looking a little annoyed, gave Yunaâs shoulder a reassuring squeeze. âTake it easy for the next few days. Iâll have someone look after you.â
Yuna sniffled, looked up at Frederick with teary eyes. âFreddie, can I move back to Seaside Manor?â
Frederick stiffened. âYes, but you must behave. No more trouble with Marguerite.â
Yuna nodded enthusiastically. âDonât worry, Freddie. I wonât bother her, and I trust you to handle your relationship with her.â
Frederick lifted Yuna off the ground, placed her gently on the sofa, and gave her some advice on prenatal care before leaving.
As soon as Frederick was gone, Yunaâs gloomy expression was replaced by one of triumph.
She knew it, there was nothing she couldnât achieve.
Marguerite was trying to steal her man? No way!
The Ablett couple breathed sighs of relief, Zoe laughed and playfully punched Ablett in the chest.
âYou did good! Usually, you canât even make a peep, but today you were quick on your feet. Well done!â
Ablett still looked a little shaken. He never would have dared to speak to Frederick like that.
But he had no choice. They were on the brink of disaster. He had to take a risk.
Fortunately, Yunaâs pregnancy strengthened Frederickâs resolve.
Their family had narrowly survived this crisis.
âDad, Mom, you donât have to worry. Iâm pregnant now, he wonât have any doubts.â
Zoe gave Ablett a glance before rushing over to Yuna. âWhatâs going on? Are you really pregnant?â
Yuna laughed heartily. âOf course not! Heâs never even slept with me!â
Ablett frowned, looking worried. âThen how did you get that pregnancy test? Did you forge it?â
Yuna laughed calmly. âMom, Dad, I met a someone today. He taught me this trick. He will continue to help me, so we donât have to worry about Marguerite anymore.â
Yunaâs words didnât reassure her parents. Instead, they looked more worried, âBut how will he help you? Youâre not pregnant, where are you going to get a baby for Mr. Winston?â
Yuna raised her chin, pride radiating off her, âDonât worry about it. My benefactor said he would help me with the baby. Besides, I still have a trump card up my sleeve.
As she spoke, a vicious glint returned to Yunaâs eyes.
