Chapter 245
Bride Behind The Mask
Marguerite thought, âJust like what I have said.â
Marguerite revealed that Yuna is a wolf in sheepâs thing. Not even a minute after Frederick left, she already dropped the act, refusing to pretend anymore.
Marguerite, having no energy to argue, just sat by the doorway, unmoving.
Yunaâs screech soon came, âMarguerite! Are you deaf? Get your ass in here nowâ
Really? Yuna was cursing like a sailor. Wasnât she afraid of Frederick hearing her?
âMarguerite, Iâm telling you for the last time! Get in here now!â
Yunaâs yelling escalated to a point where her voice almost broke, aggravating Marguerite with the shrill noise.
Annoyed, Marguerite reluctantly got up and entered the room. âCan you keep it down? Youâre making it seem like Iâve done something horrible to youâ
Upon entering. Yuna immediately glared at Marguerite, her eyes full of anger and provocation.
âDid you see, Marguerite? Freddie treats me so well. He feeds me, stays up with me through the night.
Heâd never do that for youâ
She always starts with this line. Canât she come up with something new?
Marguerite knew how much Frederick loved Yuna and all he did for her. But did she really have to flaunt it so eagerly?
Marguerite couldnât deny feeling a twinge of jealousy, but she remained calm. Her characters didnât allow her to lose her cool in public.
She knew Yunaâs weak spot, so she calmly retorted, âSo what? Everyone knows Iâm his legally wedded wife.â
âDo you know how good Freddie is to me? He stays by my side every night, holds me as I fall asleep, and tells me jokes! He said heâd give me a home. and pour all his love onto me!â
Marguerite remained calm, âSo? His wife is still me.â
âYouâre just being stubborn! Youâre just insanely jealous! Youâre nothing but a dog to us, a lowly parasite! How long do you think you can stay smug? Freddie wonât love you!â
Marguerite merely nodded and repeated, âDespite all youâve said, Iâm still his wifeâ¦â
âShut up, Marguerite!â Yuna cut her off before she could finish, âWhatâs the use of being his wife? Heâs still running to me every day! Itâs all just a facade! Youâre just a figurehead! Iâm the future Mrs. Winston, I am!â
She had repeated it three times now, enough.
Marguerite knew exactly what Yuna wanted. She wanted to be Mrs. Winston, Frederickâs wife.
Unfortunately for her, all those things were already Margueriteâs.
Marguerite was puzzled though. If Frederick loved her so much, why was she so desperate, always trying to assert her presence, always getting angry at the smallest things?
Losing oneâs temper is a sign of incompetence, born out of fear of loss.
Could it be that Yuna wasnât as important to Frederick as Marguerite thought?
Looking at the dishevelled woman in front of her, Marguerite felt a chill. Yuna looked like a madwoman.
Tired of the whole ordeal, she asked, âAre you done? If you are, Iâm leaving.â
As Marguerite turned to leave, Yuna lunged at her, screaming hysterically:
âYou bitch! Stay right there! Itâs all your fault! If it wasnât for you, Freddie wouldnât have made your relationship public! Youâre nothing but a manipulative bitch! itâs you or me today!â
Caught off guard, Marguerite was shoved onto the floor. Before she could react, she felt a kick to her stomach.
Instinctively covering her belly, she managed to grab Yunaâs ankle and pull, causing her to fall as well Using this opportunity, Marguerite scrambled to her feet, but Yuna lunged at her again.
Marguente quickly subdued her, probably due to Yunaâs weakened state from staying in the hospital for so long âCan you stop it already?â
Marguerite managed to pin Yunas hands, but Yuna escaped and picked up a fallen thermos swinging it at Marguenteâs head For a moment, Marguerite felt a buzzing noise in her head, her vision blurred Soon after, Frederick and a few nurses arrived Without a word, he helped Marguerite up Marguerite, feeling weak, leaned into Frederick. Her head was spinning but Yuns wice was crystal clear. Why are you grabbing me itâs her She tried to kill met Lock her up! Do it now!â
