Chapter 56
Bride Behind The Mask
When Yuna arrived at the company, Frederick was already busy putting out fires with the PR department. Upon hearing that Marguerite was in the flower room, she made up some excuse to go there first.
She knew Marguerite would confront her, but she couldnât care less.
Her parents had already taken care of everything for her, even going as far as bribing the officials at the Patent Office.
Once she got her hands on the patent report, the perfume would forever be out of Margueriteâs reach.
She was hell-bent on dragging Margueriteâs name through the mud, making her the worldâs laughing stock for stealing Frederick away!
She wasnât afraid of Marguerite and she was here to stir up trouble!
The door to the flower room was open. Yuna walked straight in, a smug expression on her face:
âMarguerite, donât be so upset. Have you checked online? Everyoneâs singing praises for your work.
Arenât you happy?â
Margueriteâs eyes were filled with rage and defiance, her clenched fists seemed ready to punch Yuna any second.

âCanât you just confront me directly? Stop stirring up trouble online! Because of you, LuxeScents Internationalâs reputation is going down the drain! Do you realize how much Frederick stands to lose?â
Margueriteâs heart felt stifled, her emotions beginning to flare. âIâm going to clear this up with them!â
Yunaâs scoffing laughter echoed from behind: âYou think Frederick will believe you? What are you going to tell him? That I plagiarized you? Do you have any proof?â Marguerite stopped in her tracks and spun around abruptly, her anger making it hard to breathe. âYuna, what did I ever do to you? Have you no conscience? Arenât you ashamed of what youâre doing?â
Yuna, however, leisurely strolled around the flower room, casually picking up a tulip to sniff.
âYour biggest mistake was becoming my sister and stealing my man. Just those two reasons are enough for me to trample you underfoot. Iâm going to make you the worldâs punchline, you shameless bitch!â
No sooner had she spoken, Yuna knocked over a pot of tulips, stomping on them angrily.
The loud crash sent the parrot flying to a higher perch and the corgi hiding in the corner, trembling.
âYuna, stop making a scene!â Seeing the expensive tulips getting crushed under Yunaâs feet, Margueriteâs heart tightened.
But Yuna just laughed even harder: âIâm making a scene? I have every right to. Iâve been pampered by our parents since childhood, but what about you? Youâre just a nobody; why donât you just disappear!â
With another swing of her arm, she knocked over another pot of precious flowers.
âBad lady! Bad lady!â The parrot, clearly scared out of its wits, kept squawking.
Marguerite held back her rage, stepped over the broken pieces, and reached out to grab Yuna, her voice choked with emotion: âStop it! If you keep this up, I wonât hesitate to teach you a lesson!â
Yuna suddenly broke free of Margueriteâs grip, provocatively smashing an expensive vase on the ground.
âMarguerite, what can you do to me? I stole your work, and youâre just standing there like a scared rabbit. So, if I pluck a few flowers and pull up a few plants, what can you do to me? Hahaha!â
With that, Yuna, like a madwoman out of control, ran around the flower room, leaving trails of destruction in her wake and the sound of breaking vases echoing around.
She intended to destroy everything, to make Marguerite live in perpetual fear, unable to create any more perfumes.
She wanted Marguerite to lose all honor and wish she were dead!
The worse off Marguerite was, the more satisfied Yuna felt!
In just a matter of seconds, the flower room that once looked like a secret garden turned into a wasteland.
Marguerite stood in the center of the wreckage, looking at the once vibrant and expensive flowers scattered all over, feeling a bit lost, her mind blank. The parrot, scared out of its mind, perched on Margueriteâs shoulder, the corgi trembling, whimpering, and huddled at Margueriteâs feet, utterly terrified. And Yuna seemed far from done, her eyes landing on the perfume-making table in the corner.
Just as Marguerite saw Yuna reaching for the distillation flask, her brain stopped working. She instinctively rushed over, trying to push Yuna away.
Just at that crucial moment, with Margueriteâs hand barely touching Yuna, Frederick appeared at the door, surrounded by people, witnessing everything that had just happened.
