Flashback

As Trisha was about to push the trigger of the gun, she was pushed away and fell on the ground but the bullet already shot from the gun and hit the ceiling.

Ryan looks at Gaurav who pushes Trisha and runs to her before taking the gun from the floor.

“Sir, are you okay??" Gaurav asked Ryan as a few guards ran inside hearing the gunshot.

Ryan nodded slowly and saw Trisha crying on the floor.

“Thank you, Gaurav…" Ryan sincerely said, still in little shock.

Gaurav was coming to him as Ryan left his car keys in the office. But coming here, he got a shock seeing Trisha pointing the gun at Ryan.

So he instantly push her to save Ryan.

Ryan phone rings which is lying on the floor. Ryan quickly took it and picked up the call.

Immediately guards surrounded Trisha and one of them held a gun to her head.

“Hello…" Ryan heard his father's scared voice.

"Dad,...I am okay,” he immediately said, assuring him.

"Ryan, what is happening, beta? That gunshot..” Ryan sighs as he glares at Trisha who is now looking scared.

He told him everything, making Ryan blood boil at the audacity to try to hurt his son.

“I am coming…" Ryan told him firmly, making Ryan hum.

Soon the police arrive and arrest Trisha. While Arjun, Abhimanyu, Ryan and Vivaan also reached there.

“Sir, she ran away from the hospital as she was admitted for her treatment. She hurt herself and tried to kill herself,"  the commissioner informed them.

"What about your security, Commissioner sir? She ran away under your nose and try to harm my son,” Ruhaan angrily said, still feeling shiver at the thought of something happened to his son.

“I know, sir and really ashamed of the officers' carelessness. But I assure you that nothing like this will happen again,"

Abhimanyu glares at him, making him gulp before he looks at Trisha who is behind the cell looking at Ryan with tearful eyes.

"I already see that…I want you to transfer her to another city jail. After that I will take care of her,'' Arjun said, fuming in anger.

Commission nodded his head and gulped under the gaze of the country's most influential and powerful personalities.

“And write another case against her… " Arjun told him seriously.

While everyone is busy dealing with the situation, Ryan is getting anxious thinking about Aaruhi. Ruhaan informs him about her breakdown since then he couldn't think of anything except her.

Abhi notices him and walks to him.

“Bhai, you should go home. We will handle here," Ryan looked at him.

"Abhi is right. You should leave for home…Aaru needs you,” Ruhaan softly said and nodded.

Ryan looked at Arjun and Ruhaan before walking out of the police station in a hurry.

Flashback ended

Aaruhi jerks up from sleep feeling her chest hurting and breathing furiously. She looked around only to see darkness and started crying feeling alone and cold.

“Ruhi.." her crying stopped before she felt someone hug her.

Ryan dozes off while sitting on a chair but suddenly wakes up hearing her sob. He swiftly raised the chair where he was sitting and then sat in front of her on the bed.

“It's okay, Jaan. Calm down…take a breath, love…" he whispered, hugging gently wrapping his arms around her.

She started crying badly, hugging him tightly, hiding her face in his chest.

“I was..s sca..ared.." she murmure in between her cry and tightly hold him closer.

He stroked her back and kissed her head.

“Don't be scared. I am here,...see. Shh…calm down, Meri Jaan," he softly comforted her.

Aaruhi looks at him and cups his face with her trembling hands. Her teary stare at him with love, fear and relief.

Seeing her so traumatized, Ryan smiles softly and kisses her palm on his cheek.

“I will die without you…" she whispered in a heavy voice as tear roll down her eyes.

"Don't say like this. I am her with you,” he told her and leaned their foreheads against each other.

She closed her eyes, taking a deep shaky breath of relief. Opening her eyes, she touches their lips and kisses him softly.

Ryan kisses her back holding her face and lets her lead the kiss. He can feel her lips trembling against him while trying to kiss him desperately.

He softly ran his hand through her hair, calming her anxiety down.

She stops kissing but still keeps her lips against his and cries silently feeling home and alive in his embrace.

She slightly moved back and started crying in his arms. He kissed her tears softly.

“Sshh…no more tears, now. Everything is alright," he consoled her, caressing her cheeks gently.

"Trisha-” he placed his finger on her lips and shook his head.

"Don't talk about her. She is not worth a single thought,” he told her and wiped her tears.

Placing his lips on her lips, he perks her lightly and smiles at her.

She stares at him and sniffs softly. Filling a glass of water, he brings it near lips to make her drink the water.

She just took a sip and shook her head.

“No…"

"Our first Karwa chauth got ruined,” she murmured, feeling her voice heavy and eyes again start burning with tears.

“It's okay, Ruhi. We have many more to come ahead," he told her and wiped her tears from her cheek.

“Did you drink water??" She asked, remembering, he also kept fast.

He lightly shook his head to which she felt her heart clench and took the glass of water from the side.

“Why are you so good??"  She asked him to make him drink water from her hand.

He drinks the water and smiles at her.

“Because my wife deserves only good and best things," her heart skips a beat and her lips curve into a small smile.

“That’s how I like to see my wife, always smiling, ," he softly whispered and hugged her and planted a kiss on her head.

Aaruhi closes her eyes and melts into his arms.

Ryan sighs softly.

They stay like this for a while.

“You should rest, Ruhi,"  he whispered and looked down at her face.

“You also come,..." She told him, looking at him innocently.

He nodded, then looked at her.

“First change your clothes. This saree looks uncomfortable," he said looking at her heavy Saree.

"Let me bring your night dress,” she nodded softly and removed her hand from around him.

He walked into the closet and came back after a while with her night dress. He already changed into a t-shirt and sweatpants.

After changing into her satin nightgown. Ryan laid beside her and hugged her close before covering themself with a duvet.

She snuggles her face into his neck and sighs softly inhaling his soothing fragrance.

Within a few minutes, she dozed off due to weakness and exhaustion. Ryan holds her right hand and kisses her knuckle softly while lightly gaze  the bandage on the back of her palm with his thumb. She got a small cut when the nurse removed the IV drip.

After a while, Ryan also slept.

For the next few days, Aaruhi stays in the house due to her health while Arjun and Abhimanyu handle Trisha fiasco. Her punishment increased due to attempt to murder and also she tried to Suicide and mislead the police and run away while under the police custody.

Arjun made sure she got severe punishment and spent her whole life behind the bar till she got some brain and learned a hard lesson. Like Samrat who got life prisonment for assaulting on only Aaruhi but many other girls. And also involved in illegal activities.

Ryan entered the room and smiled, finding his wife engrossed in reading some files, sitting on the bed.

As he closes the door, Aaruhi looks up hearing the sound and grins seeing him.

“You come early today," she said, placing the file aside. He nodded and walked near the bed and bent to her level. Perking her lips softly, he kissed her forehead, giving her an envelope.

She smiles with a frown looking at the envelope in her hand then at Ryan.

“What is this?"

He shrugged off, turning toward the mirror and started removing his coat and tie while looking at her in the mirror.

She looked down at the envelope and opened it. Her eyes widened in surprise and looked at him with the same amaze look. Ryan let out a laugh at her reaction.

“No!!" She exclaimed, excitement is clear in her tone.

"Oh, Yes!!" he said and wink at her, making her get down off the bed and run to him squealing in happiness.

Seeing her running toward him,he turns around and instantly lifts her up from the ground and hugs her tightly, wrapping his arms around her waist. He twirls around holding her, smiling at her enthusiasm.

The sweet sound of her giggles filled the room and his heart.

He stops and looks at her with a content smile still holding her closer.

“You are the best…I love you so so so much!!!" She exclaimed while kissing all over his face, unable to hold her happiness.

He laughs softly while she chuckles and hugs him tightly.

“I don't know you will be this happy," she grinned at him.

"You have no idea. That's one of my dreams. But how do you know?” She asked him to look at his cute frown.

“I have my way, Jaan…" he whispered, leaning near her face and kissing the tip of her nose.

She smiles brightly.

“Glad you love it…" she kissed his cheek tightly.

"So that's my gift for our wedding anniversary, huh?” he chuckled and said,

“You can say that…"

"Ayee!!! We are going to Santorini!!” she screamed excitedly, hugging him tightly.

He laughed at her joy and hugged her back.

“I can't wait to go there. We still have two weeks…" she pouted cutely, hugging him as they were lying on the bed.

He ran his fingers through her hair listening to her with a smile on his face.

“I can't believe it's been almost a year since our wedding day. We have been married for almost a year," she whispered, smiling beautifully while looking at him.

He smiles, hearing and pulls her closer, embracing her petite figure in his embrace.

“I know, it felt like yesterday I saw you walking down the aisle looking like a goddess," she chuckled softly, cuddling into his neck.

“I am so fortunate to have you as my wife, my soulmate,..." He whispered.

"So I am, to have you in my life,” saying she closed her eyes, lost in the warmth of his embrace and soon they dozed off with sweet and happy memories of the year.
