Aaruhi smiled, feeling a little bulge on her stomach as she caressed her tummy. She is in her second trimester, 19 weeks. Yesterday, they went for her routine check up and she and their baby are doing well. But the doctor told her to put on some weight as she is underweight. And the reason is her morning sickness. She couldn't eat anything. Her taste buds changed three sixty in these last few months. She started hating dairy products and sweets. Even thinking about them, she feels like puking. It's strange and quite surprising for her and Ryan that she loves juicy fruits like watermelon, litchi, oranges, grapes and mangoes.

And also spicy and tangy things. She craves them all day. That’s why Siya fills the pantry with pickles, sour candies, tamarind, and dry mangoes.

While Ryan made sure she also had a healthy diet as these things are not enough for her. So he makes healthy dishes for her as per her liking whenever he is at home. And he loves cooking for her.

Like right now, he is making masala dosa and watermelon sorbet for her in the middle of the night. Because she has thrown up everything she had in dinner and now she is feeling hungry.

Aaruhi watches her husband while roaming around the kitchen munching on anything she finds of her taste.

As she is wearing a sheer chikankari kurti and Palazzo, her tiny cute baby bump is visible to them.

“How much time, Ryan? I am hungry!!" She asked, sitting on the barstool in front of him.

“It's ready, Ruhi. Let me plate it quickly…"  he takes out a plate from the cabinet and arranges everything on the plate.

With bright eyes, she straightened up and rubbed her hand happily.

Ryan chuckled before placing the plate in front of her to eat.

She inhaled the aroma and let out a satisfactory sigh feeling water in her mouth.

Ryan went towards the fridge and took out a bowl of watermelon sorbet that he prepared a while ago. Keeping it beside her plate, he sat beside her and watched her eating happily and enjoying the food he made.

With a big morsel in her mouth, she turned to him with a smile and gave him a chef kiss. He shakes his head smiling.

She let out a burp after finishing everything and patted her tummy.

“You should open a restaurant, Ryan. You make delicious food," she told him seriously.

"So that you can eat free from there…” she giggled, nodding her head shamelessly.

“Yup!!" She cutely said and got down off the stool.

As she about the take place to clean it but Ryan picked it before her and shake his head,

“I will do it. You just sit here and wait for me," saying he went to clean her plate and other utensils he used.

Still Aaruhi followed him and stood beside him near the sink and watched him silently.

Ryan glanced at her and raised his eyes slightly. She just smiled and shook her head and started drying dishes with a clean cloth.

Coming back to their room, Ryan locks the door while Aaruhi gets on the bed. Ryan also joins her on the bed. As he lay down, she came closer to him and hugged him, placing her head on chest.

He also wraps his arm around her waist and starts stroking her back lightly and kisses her head lovingly.

He smiled in adoration, feeling her little baby bump as he slid his palm inside her kurti and softly stroke it. He loves doing it.

Aaruhi felt her eyes drooping, feeling sleepy as he gently caressed her skin. And in the next few minutes, she fell into a deep slumber.

“Good night, Meri Jaan,…" Ryan whispers after she falls asleep and lightly kisses her lips.

Coming down the stairs, Ryan saw Aaruhi sitting with Kris and Kabir and they were giggling and laughing while looking at the laptops.

He frowned and walked to them. Standing behind the couch, he peek at the laptop to see what they are watching.

And the next second his eyes widened in horror seeing his childhood videos playing on the laptop.

Feeling the presence, Aaruhi slightly turned her head and saw her husband.

“Ryan!! See your childhood videos. I found them in your cupboard. You are so cute," she giggled as she happily told them.

"Bhai, how come we never knew about these masterpieces,” Kabir said laughing at the video where he is trying to catch a cute chicken running behind the little creature with his baby feets.

Aaruhi and the twins started laughing when he fell on his face after stumbling on a plant in the middle. Ryan rolls his eyes and controls himself from scolding them to stop laughing as he doesn't want to sadden his wife when she is enjoying at his expense.

“Ok enough for fun…" he said in a stern voice and closed the laptop making the twins whine and Aaruhi glared at him.

"Aaruhi, come have your breakfast. You two also…"

Kabir and Kris huffed at him and walked in the dining room while Aaruhi just looked at him with a cute angry pout.

"Ruhi…you can watch it later but first eat something. You have to take your medicines also. Let go,.." He said and kissed her pinkish cheeks lovingly to woo her.

“You are bad, you know.." she told him and stood up holding his hand.

He smile at her and peck her lips softly,

“Yup! Very bad…" he playfully said.

Aaruhi turned around to hide her smile and started going towards the dining room while Ryan followed her.

Everyone are having breakfast when Siya said looking at Aaruhi,

“Aaru beta, I will come back by 4pm. So we'll go by then, okay" Aaruhi nodded as she was having food in her mouth.

"No problem, Ma," she said after eating the bite.

Ryan looks at her and silently asks where she is going.

“I have to buy some new clothes as these clothes don't fit me anymore," She whispered to him. He nodded in understanding before he again went back to eating.

“Take the driver with you, okay?" Ryan told her looking at her in the mirror.

She nodded at him while sitting on the bed to take some rest. Today she is not going to work as she doesn't have any work.

“Okay, then I am leaving. Take care. Have your meals and medicines on time, okay?” he told her and walked to her.

“Don't worry, I will…" she assures him knowing he worries too much about her.

Cupping her face, he kisses her lips gently which she returns happily. Pulling back, he look at her with adoration and place his lips on her forehead,

“Call me if you want anything, hmm," she softly nodded, smiling brightly.

"Take care of my little love,..” he said, palming her baby bump then kissing it lovingly.

She chuckled softly and kissed his cheek.

Pecking her lips one last time, he left for office.

In the evening, Aaruhi and Siya went shopping where they enjoyed a lot. They bought many maternity dresses for Aaruhi and also bought a few nursing gowns for future use. Also shop for some undergarments as her breast size increases. After spending their whole evening, they come back around dinner time.

Aaruhi felt exhausted and drained after roaming around the mall for hours. She was so excited and happy about shopping that she didn't realize she was draining herself.

As she lay down on bed, she let out a tired sigh, feeling her back and feet sore. And in no time, she fell asleep in exhaustion.

After a while

“Hmm…" she hummed in sleep, feeling a soft touch on her cheek and smiled as she recognised the touch.

"Ruhi, wake up…" she sighs and snuggles more into the warmth of her husband.

“See I bought your favorite Papdi chaat with extra tamarind chutney and sev…" she instantly opened her eyes hearing him and blinked her eyes rapidly.

"I heard Papdi chaat..” she innocently asked him.

Ryan looks at her cute innocent face and chuckles softly seeing her eyes shining in excitement.

He pecked her lips a few times, unable to resist her cuteness and made her sit on the bed.

"You heard right…” he told her and took a plate from the side table.

As she saw the plate filled with her favorite food. Her mouth watered at its beautiful sight.

Taking out a big piece of papdi from the side, she put it in her mouth. She slowly nodded, munching on it happily, loving the crunchy snacks with lots of flavors.

“It’s heaven…" she whispered, licking the tamarind chutney from the tip of her finger.

Ryan smiles, watching happily, munching on it, making cute faces and moaning at its taste. The satisfaction he is feeling at this moment is out of the world. He can watch her like this for eternity without getting tired. Her smile, her bright happy eyes, the glow on her face, and everything about her, is ethereal and divine.

He let out a chuckle and shook his head when she licked the chutney from the plate with her finger. He takes the plate from her hand before she licks it clean.

“That's enough for today, love…now drink this juice. Without any tantrum," He sternly said forward a glass of fresh apple juice while she made a disgusted face looking at the juice.

"I am stuffed now. I cant eat anything more…” she gave an excuse, cutely making a face looking at juice as if it was going to attract her.

“Ruhi…" he just said his name giving her a serious stern look.

She huffs at him but then unwillingly drinks the juice making faces and fake gagging. Ryan just shakes his head, rolling his eyes internally, at her drama.

“Now I am feeling like puking…" she told him in a complaining tone.

Ryan took the empty glass from her and opened his other palm in front of her which had a dark chocolate ball.

She took it from his hand and unwrapped it before stuffing it in her mouth.

“I am feeling like puking!…now what, drama queen,huh," he teased her, mimicking her.

"Don't trouble me,..” she whined, making Ryan laugh at her.

“Such a drama queen you are… " he lovingly said and then placing a kiss on her temple, he went out to keep the dirty plate in the kitchen.

As he walked out, Aaruhi’s lips curved into a beautiful happy smile. These are the moments she fell more and more in love with her husband than she already did.

“We are so lucky, baby to have your Dadda in our life," she whispered, looking at her baby bump while caressing it lovingly.

“You didn't sleep, yet…" Ryan said as he came back in the room and saw Aaruhi on her phone.

She looked up and saw him giving her a stern look.

“Keep your phone aside and go back to sleep. You are getting so careless nowadays," he scolded her and switched off the lights before getting on the bed beside her.

She places her phone on the nightstand as she doesn't want to get scolded by him. As they laid down Ryan pulled her closer like everyday and hugged her gently. She cuddles into him, nuzzling her face into his chest to inhale his cologne.

“How was the shopping?"  He whispered to her.

She look up at him placing her chin on his chest and excitedly told him about her shopping day,

"It was wonderful. I bought so many dresses for myself and a few nursing gowns also,” she told him cheerfully.

He nodded, admiring her happy face and brushed her hair back which was falling on her face from the side.

“I love you, Meri Jaan…" he whispered softly looking into her beautiful eyes.

Smiling at him, she raised a little to come face to face with him and place her lips on his.

"I love you too…so so much,” she whispered against his lips before kissing him softly.

Without wasting a moment, Ryan cups her cheeks and deepens the kiss. After a while Aaruhi finds herself without her kurti and with his lips all over her neck and shoulders. He is hovering over her, careful of not putting his weight on her.

He lips busy sucking and biting her soft skin while she is moaning under him, holding his shoulders tightly.

He felt his heart skip a beat as he felt her baby bump against his torso. The feeling of her cute baby bump is heartwarming for him.

He again catches her sweet soft lips in a deep passionate kiss while his hands stroke her side and caress her skin sensually.

After their little make out, Ryan fell beside her and pulled her to himself. She closes her eyes and pant for air to calm herself while Ryan is also taking deep breaths for a while. As they get back from the height of desire, Ryan covers both of them feeling tired and sleepy. Whereas Aaruhi already fell asleep.

As the days are passing, Aaruhi’s craving and diet is increasing. She is really enjoying her pregnancy with all the pampering and love of her family. Their baby is a pure sweetheart and is not giving any hard time to them for now. But he or she is going to be a total foodie as all the time she feels hungry and craves some random things at random times. And her husband makes sure to fulfill her every craving. He is always on his feet for her. He never refused her for anything and these things about him always made her emotional and sometimes she ended up crying. Well she can't help it. She always stays high on her emotions nowadays. Blame her pregnancy.

So all in all she is doing great. But not right now as she is getting hyper because nothing is going right as she wants. She is panicking and feeling like crying her heart out.

So the thing is that today is Ryan’s birthday and she is planning to surprise him right at 12 o'clock in the night by baking cake with her hand for him. But the cake she was baking, overcooked and burned because she fell asleep. And now she doesn't have time to make another cake as he is about to come from the office.

Not knowing what to do now, she started crying, looking at the burned cake.

“I am such a bad wife. I can't even do this much for him while he is doing everything for me and our baby. I don't deserve him, baby…" she sob lightly,  feeling pain at the thought of being  unworthy in the name of a lover and a wife.

“How can I sleep like this?" She whispered, holding her head and tears rolled down her eyes like waterfall.

She wipes her tears but they again flow down continuously.

“Ruhi?!" She looked up swiftly, hearing Ryan's worried voice.

Ryan rushed inside the kitchen where is standing while freaking out in worry. Reaching near her, he cupped her face.

Looking at Aaruhi’s chubby baby face with red glow on her cheeks and nose while her beautiful doe eyes filled with tears, she is looking no less than any doll. So innocent and adorable.

“Why are you crying, Ruhi? What happened? Are you in pain? Please tell me, Ruhi?" Hearing his voice filled with warmth and worry.

Aaruhi felt her lips shaking before she again started crying, throwing herself into him and hugging him tightly. She sob into his arms, feeling more sad. Whereas Ryan is feeling his heart thudding loudly in fear seeing her like this.

Holding her in his arms, he stroked her head gently.

“Ruhi, I am getting scared now. Please tell me, what happened, Meri Jaan…" he asks, getting anxious with every passing second.

“I don't deserve you, Ryan…" she cried against his neck, wetting his shirt with her tears.

He frowns at her words not getting what she is trying to imply.

“What are you saying, love?" He softly asks, placing a few kisses on her head.

"First tell me, are you alright??” she nodded, still hugging him tightly.

He let out a sigh of relief feeling a little calm. He lifted her in his arms and started going upstairs to their room with her hugging him and hiding her face in his neck. He can feel her still crying as he is feeling wet warm tears on his skin.

Placing her on the bed, he tried to look at her but she refused to let him go and tighten her arms around his neck while sobbing softly.

“Ruhi, look at me…." He softly whispered rubbing her back and Ryan when he noticed she was wearing his shirt with her leggings.

“Love, please talk to me. You are scaring me. You shouldn't cry so much, you know na it will affect your health and baby too…"as he said this, Aaruhi stops sobbing and after a minute she finally pulls back to look at him.

Ryan felt his heart break, seeing her tearful eyes. She cutely sniffed and wiped her tears with the sleeves.

“Why is my beautiful wife crying like this? Don't you tell me, love.." he lovingly asked, cleaning her face with his handkerchief.

"I destroyed everything …” she mutters, controlling herself from crying.

He frowned in confusion and held her hands in his and started stroking them with his thumbs.

“I was baking a cake for you but .b..ut it burned due to my carelessness. I wanted to surprise you but now I can't…I feel horrible. I can't even do a simple thing for you whereas you are fulfilling my every demand and also take me on surprise dates every month. You are the best husband but I can't even do this. Such a bad wife I am. I don't deserve you,..." By the time it finishes, she is a crying mess. She turned breathless due to hiccups and crying hard.

Ryan went still for a moment, hearing her. And after coming back to his senses, he sighs at her overthinking mind. Pulling her closer, he made sit on his lap putting her legs on his either side and hug her.

“My innocent and overthinking wife, first of all stop crying and calm down…" she nodded but continued her sobbing.

"They are not stopping,…." She again started crying hard looking at him.

Ryan controls himself from smiling at her cuteness. He can't take risks as it won't take her a second from turning into an angry bird from the baby.

He made her drink some water and gave her a few minutes till she came down.

“Feeling better…" he asks after leaning against the headboard with her sitting on his lap. She nodded slowly, looking at him innocently.

“You are sad because you couldn't make a cake for me, hmm..” she nodded, blinking her eyes as they again started burning.

“I wanted to give you a birthday surprise tonight but now…" she choked on her word.

"Ruhi, you know you don't have to do anything. You already gave me so many best things to cherish my whole life. And whatever I am doing for you is my duty as a husband, right? After you gave such a blessing, our baby..” he placed his palm on her baby bump and gently caressed it with love.

“...what I am doing is nothing, Meri Jaan. You give the place of your first love, and your every first. Now what more I want in my life. I have you and soon our baby. This is my best and most precious gift," Aaruhi looked at him with a small smile and shining eyes due to tears.

She cupped his face and kissed his lips.

“I love you, Ryan…" she murmured against his lips and again pecked his lips softly.

Closing his eyes, Ryan enjoys this feeling and then holding her neck lightly he deep the kiss, kissing her hard and intensely.

“I love you too, Meri Jaan…" he whispered huskily while kissing her lips and caressing her lips with his own.

“Happy birthday, Ryan…" As the clock hit 12 at night. Aaruhi whispered softly in his ear then kissed the side of his neck.

He slowly opens his eyes and turns slightly to Aaruhi looking at him with a beautiful smile. He smiles softly.

“Thank you, love…" he said softly and hugged her gently. His hand unconsciously moved to her baby bump and began caressing as his new habit that he developed recently.

Aaruhi cups his face and softly kisses his lips and then pulls back. Smiling at him, she again pecked his lips.

He chuckled softly as she began placing small kisses all over his face. He enjoys getting so much love and pampering from his wife.

After showering love on him, she hugged him, placing her face on his shoulder.

“Our baby and I love you so so much. You are our everything, Ryan…" she said softly and placed her palm over his hand on her baby bump.

Instead of saying anything, he just placed his lips on her head.

Suddenly she smiles when he cuddles her in his arms.

“And you both are my world…" he whispered into her hair and kissed the side of her head lightly.

And in no time her eyes filled with tears feeling emotional and as she sniffed, Ryan looked at her face. She looked up at him, blinking her tears away.

“I am not crying…it's our baby, really!" She cutely said pointing at her 24 weeks baby bump.

And the next, Ryan let out a little laugh and pinch her cheeks lovingly.

“Oh really?…" he asked, raising his one eyebrow playfully.

She instantly nodded her head.

“Yeah…"

And she grins sheepishly while he chuckles at her and places a smooch on her lips feeling his heart filled with love and adoration for the woman in front of him.
