Aaradhya's pov
I woke up and found myself in a different world. I blinked twice and thought.
"Sleep again Aaradhya you are dreaming" I lay back down but then I heard someone's laughter and opened my eyes again.
It wasnât a dream. It was real.
I looked around and saw Aarav ji standing there with a flower bouquet in his hand. The entire room was filled with balloons and flowers. There wasnât a single empty space left.
âGood morning wifeyâ Aarav ji said walking towards me.
I sat up straight as he handed me the bouquet. I was so shocked that I couldnât say anything.
âWhat is this?â my voice came out in a whisper.
âItâs just your husband trying to gain your forgivenessâ he said with a smile.
I looked at him. No one had ever given me this much importance and here he was doing all of this for me. I didnât show my emotions just gave him a small smile.
âItâs beautifulâ I said admiring the bouquet.
âActually I wanted to ask if you would like to go on a dinner date with me. Please?â he asked looking directly into my eyes.
He was giving me yet another shock this morning. His hopeful gaze was fixed on me.
âWhy not?â I replied and his eyes lit up.
âThank you so much for your precious permission. Iâll pick you up after work. I have a very important meeting now so Iâll be going. Byeâ he said turning to leave.
I stopped him. âWait!â
I stood up and walked toward him. âHow is your hand?â I asked looking at it.
âItâs more than fineâ he said with a smile. I nodded and he left.
I looked around the room again unable to hold back my excitement and started jumping on the balloons. Believe me the room looked so dreamy that I canât even describe it.
"If he keeps doing things like this Iâll surely fall for him" I thought to myself.
My small very small crush on him might turn into something bigger. But I am loving all this princess treatment. I am receiving it for the first time.
I took my phone and clicked lots of pictures of the room. "Iâll show this to Maa. Sheâll be happy to know her son is really changing" I thought.
I carefully placed the bouquet on the desk and freshened up. After getting dressed I looked at the room one last time before heading downstairs.
I was feeling so happy today. My life seemed to be changing for the better.
I saw Maa talking on the phone. Smiling I went behind her and hugged her.
She startled at first but then smiled when she saw me.
âIâll talk to you laterâ Maa said into the phone and hung up.
âLagta hai aaj bahut khushi ka din hai. Pehle bete ne hug kiya ab beti neâ Maa said and I understood her teasing tone.
I told her everything that had happened the room the decorations everything. She listened with a pure smile on her face.
âHe is really changing. Iâm happy for both of youâ she said kissing my forehead.
âCan I ask you something? Not as Aaravâs mother but as your friend?â she asked a hint of nervousness in her voice.
âAap bas hukum karo Maaâ I replied smiling at her.
âWould you give this marriage a chance after he fixes everything?â she asked cautiously as though afraid of my answer.
I could sense the fear in her eyes maybe the fear of losing me.
âIâll give this marriage a chance Maaâ I said softly.
Her face lit up as she jumped in joy.
âThank you thank you for giving this marriage a chance!â she exclaimed and hugged me tightly.
âKya chal raha hai yaha?â Chachi asked walking into the kitchen.
Maa excitedly told her about Aarav ji decorating the room for me.
âAwww so sweet of him. Aur ek humare budhe husband hain!â Chachi said rolling her eyes and I couldnât help but laugh.
Aaravâs POV
Finally I secured the deal. A sense of satisfaction filled me as I walked into my cabin and sank into my chair.
Loosening my tie I leaned back letting the weight of the day ease off. My mind wandered back to the morning and a faint smile tugged at my lips.
I could still picture Aaradhyaâs expression the way her face lit up when she saw the room I had decorated.
I had woken up early meticulously arranging everything myself. Every detail mattered because I wanted her mornings to be special always.
A thought nagged at me. This feeling I have for her⦠what is it? Iâm not entirely sure but I know itâs something deep, something real. When I see her smile itâs like the chaos inside me calms down. Her happiness feels like my own. Just the thought of her is enough to bring a smile to my face.
I shook my head and straightened in my seat trying to focus. But it was impossible to ignore the growing warmth in my chest.
Tonight Iâve planned a dinner for the two of us. Sheâll need to get used to this because itâs just the beginning.
Iâm going to do everything I can to make her feel loved and cherished. This marriage deserves a real chance and Iâm ready to give it my all.
Maaâs words echoed in my mind âYou wonât find anyone like Aaradhya.â She was right. I didnât realize it before but now I do. Aaradhya is different sheâs special.
âIâll fix everything Aaradhyaâ I whispered to myself a quiet promise that I intended to keep.
Straightening my posture I focused on the files in front of me. There was work to do and I needed to finish it in time for tonight.
Aaradhya's POV
I was sitting in my room after finishing lunch when I heard a knock on the door. Curious I got up and opened it finding a sad-looking Riya standing there.
âCan I come in bhabhi?â she asked softly which was completely unlike her usual bubbly and cheerful self.
âWhy not princess?â I said stepping aside to let her in. She walked in slowly. I sat on the bed and she lay down on my lap without a word. Her silence was unusual and I began gently caressing her head.
âBhai is changing for you bhabhiâ she said with a small smile breaking the silence.
I nodded returning her smile. âYes he is.â
âWhat happened to you? Tell me honestlyâ I asked concerned. She looked up at me hesitantly.
âIâm not sure about it but Iâm going to tell you. Promise me you wonât tell this to anyoneâ she said seriously.
âI promise. I wonât tell anyoneâ I assured her. She sat up properly and took a deep breath before speaking.
âActually Iâve loved Jay for the past three years. When he used to stay here I didnât realize it but after he left for America I understood that I had feelings for him. Iâm damn sure Iâm in love with him but the problem is I donât know if he loves me back or notâ she confessed in one breath her expression shifting from excitement to sadness.
I smiled certain they both had feelings for each other. âYou should tell him your feelingsâ I suggested.
âNo I wonât! He should propose to me if he has feelings for me. Iâm a girl I wonât get down on my kneesâ she said dramatically flipping her hair.
I couldnât help but laugh at her over-the-top behavior. âThen I have a planâ I said leaning closer to her.
âTell me tell me! What is it?â she asked impatiently, her eyes wide with curiosity.
âMake him jealous. Maybe then heâll propose to you out of jealousyâ I said watching her face light up with excitement before she grew thoughtful again.
âWhat if he doesnât even have feelings for me? Phir to mera popat ban jayegaâ she said her expression turning serious.
I burst into laughter. âBhabhi youâre laughing at such a serious situation!â she said with a pout and I playfully pinched her cheeks.
âWhat if I tell you he also has feelings for you?â I teased.
âDid he tell you?â she asked eagerly her eyes sparkling with hope.
I shrugged. âFirst make him as jealous as you can. Then youâll see the magicâ I said with a wink.
Her excitement returned in full force. âBut how can I make him jealous?â she asked tilting her head as we both started thinking.
Suddenly she shouted âIdea!â and explained her plan to me.
âIsnât that too much?â I asked raising an eyebrow.
âNo bhabhi itâs perfect! Now wait and watch. Iâll make him confess his feelings for me. And if he doesnât have any Iâll make sure he gets some because Iâm not going to leave him!â she declared standing on the bed with determination.
I laughed at her antics. âThank you so much bhabhi for the idea! I love you so muchâ she said kissing my cheek before rushing out of the room.
I shook my head smiling to myself. Finally theyâre going to be one. Theyâre perfect for each other. Sheâs crazy and heâs calm. Theyâll be the perfect match.
At Evening
I was getting ready for tonightâs dinner feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement. I wore the beautiful white saree Aarav Ji had sent me.
It was full of intricate embroidery, paired with red bangles that added a touch of tradition. His choice was impeccable and I couldnât help but admire his taste.
I gave myself one last look in the mirror, adjusting my hair slightly before stepping out of the room. But the moment I did, my breath hitched.
There he stood, Aarav Ji in all his glory. His presence exuded confidence and he looked so handsome that my cheeks heated up. Ahh, why am I feeling hot now?
âYouâre looking breathtaking wifeyâ he said walking toward me his eyes fixed on mine.
I looked down shyly my cheeks now undoubtedly crimson.
âShall we go?â he asked and I nodded. Together we walked downstairs.
âOhh my God! Ye apsara yaha dharti par kya kar rahi hai?â Darshâs voice broke the silence and I couldnât help but laugh softly at his antics.
âMaa mujhe bhi aisi wife chahiyeâ Raj complained to Chachi making everyone laugh.
âMera baccha bahut pyari lag rahi hoâ Maa said lovingly, kissing my forehead.
Chachi then waved her hands around me to ward off evil eyes murmuring something protective.
Papa stepped forward holding a bundle of notes and circled it around me.
âKisi ki nazar na lage meri gudiya koâ he said warmly. My heart swelled with gratitude. No one had ever made me feel this special before.
âChale late ho raha haiâ Aarav Ji reminded everyone and I nodded.
âMeri behen ka khayal rakhnaâ Jay said his tone serious and I smiled at his care.
âOk sirâ Aarav Ji replied dramatically making everyone chuckle as we headed out to the car.
he started driving and the silence between us felt comfortable. But he was the first to break it.
âDid you like the saree?â he asked his eyes glancing at me briefly.
âI love itâ I said looking down at the saree again admiring its beauty.
âKash ye words mere liye hoteâ he murmured softly but I couldnât catch it entirely.
âJi kuch kaha aapne?â I asked turning to him.
âNothingâ he replied with a smile and focused back on the road.
After some time we arrived at our destination. He came around to open the door for me his actions making my heart race. Why am I feeling so special tonight?
I stepped out and froze in place.
The sight before me was magicalâa serene lake surrounded by mountains, and behind them, the moon shone brightly in the sky.
A small beautifully decorated table was set up nearby. The ambiance felt unreal like stepping into a dream.
âItâs so beautifulâ I whispered unable to take my eyes off the view.
âNot more than youâ he said his words pulling me back to him. My heart fluttered and I regretted applying blush because his words worked better than any makeup.
âPasand aaya?â he asked pulling out a chair for me.
âBahut jiyadaâ I replied excitedly as I sat down.
âHow did you find this place?â I asked curiously.
âThis place belongs to us wifeyâ he said leaving me speechless. Of course heâs Aarav Yaduvanshi.
âAre you comfortable?â he asked his tone gentle and caring.
A smile spread across my face. âYes I amâ I replied softly.
âWe should know each other betterâ he said. âYou can tell me anything about yourself and ask me anything about me.â
I didnât want him to feel awkward so I nodded with a small smile.
âAre you genuinely sorry about your behavior?â I asked looking directly into his eyes. I knew he was but I wanted to hear it from him.
âIâll not answer this question, but Iâll show you through my actionsâ he said, his sincerity evident. He was right his actions already said more than words ever could.
âMay I ask you something?â he asked hesitantly.
I nodded. âOf course.â
âDid you have any boyfriend or someone you loved before our marriage? I mean we werenât the ones supposed to get married that day, so⦠you get what Iâm sayingâ he said, stumbling over his words.
I smiled at his nervousness. âI never believed in those things nor did my parents allow me. I always believed in Godâs plan whatever He gives Iâll accept it with my whole heartâ I said glancing at him. His expression froze for a moment and I smiled internally at the effect my words had on him.
âGlad to know thisâ he whispered but I caught it and smiled shyly.
âWhat do you want to eat?â he asked.
âAnything is fine for meâ I replied.
He ordered through his phone and after some time the waitress arrived with the food. She placed the dishes on the table and left. Aarav Ji served me first and then himself, his actions so thoughtful and gentlemanly that it warmed my heart.
I started eating unable to hide the growing admiration I felt for him.
Aaravâs POV
I watched her as she ate her food a satisfied smile spreading across her face.
âDid you like the food?â I asked.
She looked up her cheeks puffed with food and nodded enthusiastically giving me one of her heartwarming smiles.
She looked like an angel tonight. I had commissioned the best designer in the country to make this saree for her and it turned out amazing. But it wasnât the saree it was her wearing it that made it breathtaking.
A wave of relief washed over me when I realized she had never loved anyone before. This relationship was new for both of us and I silently vowed to ensure I would be her first and last love. The thought made me smile as I continued to admire her.
We finished our food and started heading back home.
âStop! Stop!â she suddenly exclaimed.
I immediately hit the brakes worry gripping me. âAre you okay? What happened?â I asked anxiously.
âIâm fineâ she said softly pointing toward an ice cream stall. âI just want to eat this.â
I blinked in surprise. âWe can get it from a restaurant. Letâs go if you wantâ I offered starting the car again.
But she shook her head her lips forming a small pout. âNo I want this one only.â
Control yourself Aarav, I thought suppressing a smile at her innocence.
âOkay you sit here. Iâll get it for youâ I said stepping out of the car.
âButterscotch flavorâ she called after me and I nodded walking toward the stall.
She was unlike anyone Iâd ever met. Most people in her position would ask for something extravagant, but she wanted a simple street-side ice cream.
âHere you goâ I said handing her the cone.
She took it happily. âThank you so much!â she said immediately licking the ice cream with a childlike excitement.
I quickly averted my gaze. Focus Aarav.
âItâs so tastyâ she said her face glowing with joy. I couldnât help but smile at her.
âTry itâ she suddenly said extending the cone toward me. But then as if realizing something, she hesitated and pulled her hand back.
Without thinking I gently held her hand and brought the cone closer. I leaned forward and licked the ice cream. Her cheeks turned a deep shade of red making her look even more adorable.
âItâs tastyâ I said pretending to be casual, though I was smiling inside.
âI told you!â she replied softly her shy smile making my heart skip a beat. She continued eating her ice cream her cheeks still pink.
The ice cream was delicious but maybe it tasted better because she was the one eating it. The thought made me smile like a silly teenager in love.
We reached home to find the house quiet everyone had probably gone to bed. We went to our room changed into our nightwear and lay down on the bed.
âThank you so much for today It was really greatâ she said looking at me with genuine gratitude.
âIâm glad you liked itâ I replied pulling the blanket over myself.
âGood nightâ I said.
âGood nightâ she replied softly her voice filled with warmth.
âIt was the best day of my life.â i thought.
I smiled as she closed her eyes and for the first time in a while, I fell asleep with a pure, contented smile on my face.
Aaradhyaâs POV
I buried my face in the pillow my cheeks burning with embarrassment.
Why did I offer him the ice cream? I thought replaying the moment in my head. I hadnât expected him to eat it! The memory made my cheeks heat up again.
âAhh sleep Aaradhya!â I scolded myself shaking my head.
Even though I was flustered I couldnât help but smile. Tonight had been magical and my heart felt light as I drifted off into my dreams.
