Aaradhyaâs POV
âBhabhi toh bahut glow kar rahi haiâ Riya teased her eyes twinkling with mischief. They had been teasing me ever since I came downstairs.
I looked down trying to hide my face but my cheeks betrayed me by turning red.
âTu aaj tak mujhe kabhi dinner ke liye nahi le gayaâ Jaye said his tone mockingly dramatic. Everyone chuckled at his comment.
âAre you my wife?â Aarav ji asked raising an eyebrow at him.
âHaan Aaradhya se pehle main tera thaâ Jaye replied with a straight face making everyone burst out laughing.
âMain aa gayiâ a feminine voice suddenly interrupted the moment. We all turned to see who it was.
âKis ka muh dekh kar utha tha main aaj?â Raj muttered irritably under his breath.
âTu kab aaya?â Bua ji asked looking at Jaye with a frown. He looked down avoiding her gaze.
âTeen din pehleâ he replied quietly standing up from his seat.
âKab jaayega?â she shot back making him freeze in his tracks.
âJa raha hoonâ Jaye said clearly exasperated as he started walking away.
âKahin nahi jaa raha hai ye!â Papaâs firm voice stopped everyone. He stood up looking at Jaye.
âTo yahin rahega ye humare ghar mein?â Bua ji snapped her irritation evident.
âAap reh sakti hain toh ye toh inhi ka ghar haiâ Riya said nonchalantly munching on her food. Her sarcasm was sharp and it made Jaye suppress a smile.
âBhai ye bahut badtameez hoti ja rahi hai! Roko isse warna iski shaadi karna mushkil ho jayegaâ Bua ji said furiously glaring at Riya.
âAapki ho gayi toh iski toh aankh band karke ho jayegiâ Darsh said smirking and I had to control my laughter.
âBhai aapko.....â Bua ji began angrily but was cut off by Aarav ji.
âBas! Koi is ghar se kahin nahi jaa raha. Agar aapko takleef hai toh aap apne ghar jaa kar reh sakti hain jo humne aapko diya haiâ Aarav ji said his voice calm but firm as he stood up.
Bua ji went silent and without another word stormed off to her room.
âChal tuâ Aarav ji said gesturing for Jaye to follow him.
âHum ja rahe hain bye byeâ Jaye said with a cheeky grin as he walked out. His confidence was unshaken and I admired how strong he was.
I turned to look at Riya who had her eyes fixed on Jayeâs retreating back.
âCollege nahi jaana?â I asked bumping my shoulder with hers. She quickly nodded getting up. Together she and Darsh left.
Aaravâs POV
âStay in your limitsâ I said sharply pushing Jaye into the passenger seat of my car.
"Ab maine kya kiya?â he asked in a bored tone leaning back in his seat. I glared at him.
âHow will I get back from work if I go with you? My car is still hereâ he pointed out.
âIâll pick you upâ I said curtly starting the engine.
âDonât think about leaving the house again or Iâll start looking for a man for my baby sisterâ I threatened smirking at him.
He glared at me. âBhai tu na bahut over ho raha hai.â
âBtw, Aaradhya aur tere beech sab kaisa chal raha hai?â he asked with a teasing grin. Memories of last night flashed through my mind and I couldnât stop the smile that crept onto my face.
âMore than betterâ I said focusing on the road.
âHmmm I can see thatâ he teased making me return to my usual composed self.
After dropping him off I headed to my office and began my day.
Aaradhya's POV
I was making coffee for myself when I heard someone calling me. Turning around I stepped out of the kitchen and saw one of the house helpers standing there holding a small box in her hand.
"What happened?" I asked curiously.
"Ma'am someone has sent this for you" she replied handing me the box. My name was written on it but there was no sender's name.
Taking the box I went straight to my room. I placed my coffee cup aside and carefully opened the box.
Inside there was an envelope with red stains on it. My heartbeat quickened as I slowly opened the envelope.
Dear Wifey,
I'm sorry.
I know I'm the biggest fool on this earth for treating an angel like you in the worst way. I'm truly ashamed of my behavior, and I mean it with all my heart. Every time I see you I regret every single moment I made you suffer, but I promise I will make everything right.
I know the pain I caused will never completely go away but I'll ensure my actions ease your pain.
I wrote this letter with my blood you know why? Because I want to show you that every word in this letter is true. Ink wouldn't be enough to express how deeply sorry I am. Even my blood isn't enough to earn your forgiveness.
But still if it's possible please forgive me.
Again I'm truly sorry wifey.
Your Husband
I closed the letter but tears streamed down my face. I couldn't stop crying. Why was he doing this? If he continued I was afraid I'd fall for him.
I folded the letter and put it back in the box. "Why are you doing this Aarav ji? Please stop. It hurts to see you like this."
I sat there staring at the box unable to hold back my tears. I cried for hours.
But deep down I knew something. I'd never leave him. No matter what I'd stay. He had made mistakes but realizing them and apologizing sincerely was something not many people did.
At Night
I was sitting in the room when Aarav ji entered. He looked tired. My eyes immediately fell on his hand the same hand he had injured by shooting himself a few days ago. His palm was wrapped in a bandage.
Our eyes met and he gave me a small smile. I got up from the bed and walked toward him. His smile faded as he noticed my face.
"Were you crying?" he asked his voice filled with concern. I nodded.
"Why?" he asked stepping closer.
"Please stop all this or I'll never forgive you" I said firmly and his smile returned.
"Stop smiling! If you do something like this again you'll see a new side of Aaradhya" I warned trying to sound serious. He chuckled softly.
"If my wife doesn't like it I promise I won't do it again" he said holding his ear playfully. I nodded satisfied.
"By the way were you worried about me?" he asked with a teasing smirk.
"Nope I wasn't worried about you. I was worried about the work" Ireplied quickly coming up with an excuse. "If your hand gets injured again and again, you'll stop working, and then you won't earn money. How will we survive without money? That's why I was worried" I said avoiding his gaze.
He laughed and leaned closer to my face.
"Wifey even if I stop working today and start spending my 10 billion dollars daily, we'll still have enough money left for our next 10 generations to live luxurious lives without working a single day" he said smugly.
My mouth dropped open. Whom was I kidding? He is Aarav Yaduvanshi.
"Maa is calling me!" I blurted out and ran out of the room.
Behind me I heard his laughter. A small smile crept onto my face.
Jayeâs POV
I was coming out of my room when I saw Riya. She was dressed in a floral maxi dress with soft pastel colors and delicate flower prints.
She looked breathtakingly gorgeous. I couldnât take my eyes off her until she stopped right in front of me.
"Can you please drop me at a nearby restaurant?" she asked smiling softly.
"Where are you going?" I asked noticing it was already 7 in the evening.
"My friend planned a dinner for me. Thatâs why Iâm going" she said casually.
"Did you take permission?" I asked. She nodded in response.
"Now are you dropping me or should I go by myself?" she asked impatiently.
Without saying anything I started walking ahead. She was going to dinner with her friends but she was dressed as if she were going on a date.
I opened the car door for her and she got in. I walked to the driverâs seat and started the engine glancing at her occasionally.
"When will you return?" I asked focusing on the road but with my mind entirely on her.
"I donât know. He said heâd drop me back" she replied casually and I jerked my head toward her.
"He?" I repeated emphasizing the word.
"Yes, heâs my college friend. Weâre really close. He said he wants to tell me something important today" she said, making my heart stop for a moment.
"Did you tell Chachi that youâre going to meet a boy?" I asked trying to keep my voice calm.
"Yes everyone in the family knows him" she said still unfazed.
How could she be so casual about this? Couldnât she see how much I loved her? I was sure that guy planned to propose to her. Who else would call a girl alone at this time and say they have something important to tell her?
My grip on the steering wheel tightened and my knuckles turned white.
"Am I looking pretty? I want to look good today" she asked looking at herself in the mirror. I shot her a death glare but she was too busy adjusting her hair.
"Iâll wait for you and youâll come back with me after dinner" I said firmly.
"No I wonât. He said heâd drop me back" she argued. I glared at her again and she went silent.
"Okay Iâll come with you" she said sounding sad.
Why was she upset about coming with me but so excited to meet that guy?
We reached the restaurant and she got out of the car.
"You wait here. Iâll tell you when Iâm done. And please donât come inside" she said before walking away.
Did she seriously think Iâd stay outside? I parked the car and followed her inside. My eyes scanned the restaurant until I spotted her.
She was sitting in the open area and the table was unnecessarily decorated. I sat at a spot where I could see her clearly.
The guy with her was dressed as if he was attending his own wedding. Freak.
He was sitting too close to her. Couldnât she push him away? They were talking endlessly. When their food arrived. I tried to stay calm. But I knew if he proposed to her, Iâd lose it.
After dinner a waitress came to their table with a bouquet and handed it to Riya. She took it happily.
The guy stood up and walked toward her. I knew what was coming next. As soon as he got down on one knee I rushed to their table.
"Letâs go" I said grabbing Riyaâs hand and pulling her toward me.
"Wait, mister! Who are you and why are you taking her?" the guy protested. I shot him a deadly glare.
"Stay away from her or Iâll make sure you get a tour of hell" I said making him tremble.
"Iâm really sorry for his behavior. Please donât take him seriously" Riya said apologizing to him. I glared at her and dragged her toward the parking area.
"Were you seriously waiting for him to propose to you?" I asked in a low dangerous voice. She shivered at my tone.
"I mean he loves me and heâs a good guy. I was okay with it, but you ruined everything" she said angrily.
I stepped closer to her and she backed away until her back hit the car door.
"If anyone proposes to you will you accept them?" I asked my voice cold.
"Yes Iâll accept them. You donât have to interfere in my business" she said making my blood boil.
"Everything about you is my business. Did you get that Riya Yaduvanshi?" I shouted. She looked into my eyes.
"Why is it your business? Youâre no one to me!" she yelled back.
That was it. How could she not see my love for her? In a fit of rage I grabbed her nape and kissed her harshly. She tried to push me away but eventually stopped.
I kissed her like a beast claiming her as mine. When she tapped my shoulder, signaling she was out of breath I pulled back and rested my forehead against hers.
"Why did you do that?" she asked softly.
"Because I love you! Canât you see that?" I said loudly. "Iâve loved you for years. Canât you feel it?"
She smiled surprising me. She grabbed my collar and pulled me closer.
"Why did you take so long to confess?" she asked before kissing me again.
When she pulled back she looked at me with a wide smile.
"I love you too" she said.
My heart skipped a beat. "You love me back?" I whispered and she nodded.
"Yes Iâve loved you for the past three years" she admitted.
I picked her up and spun her around. "My love, loves me back!" I shouted making her laugh.
"Put me down! Someone will see us" she said laughing.
I put her down and stared at her lovingly.
"If you love me,l why did you come here?" I asked.
"Letâs go first. Iâll explain in the car" she said getting in.
She told me how the entire dinner was staged to make me jealous enough to confess.
"Youâre a devil" I said shaking my head.
"Your devil" she teased making me smile.
She also revealed that Aaradhya helped her with the plan.
"Aaradhya was in on this?" I asked shocked.
"Yes" she said laughing.
"Iâll deal with you both later" I said grinning.
"So weâre officially dating now. Woohoo!" she cheered making me laugh.
My life would truly be heaven with her by my side.
