Aarav's POV:
I was sitting in my office working late into the night. A small smile crept onto my face as I remember about the letter I had written for her. My blood felt like it was rushing with excitement after seeing her concern for me earlier. She had cried for me. She had been worried for me.
âAhh, Aarav Yaduvanshi your wife was crying for you!â I said aloud spinning in my chair. My grin grew wider just thinking about that moment.
âLetâs go and sleepâ I told myself getting up from my chair. I left the office and walked toward the bedroom.
As I reached the hallway, I saw something that made me stop in my tracks. I rubbed my eyes to make sure I wasnât dreaming and looked again. Are they for real?
Riya and Jaye were walking together holding hands. Jaye was kissing her hand again and again and Riya was blushing like crazy.
I walked toward them but they were so caught up in their little world that they didnât even notice me. I cleared my throat loudly and finally they looked at me.
âBha... bhaiâ Riya stuttered quickly hiding behind Jaye.
âWhatâs going on between you two?â I asked in a serious tone folding my arms.
âYour sister is now mineâ Jaye said confidently pulling Riya closer to him in a side hug.
âOh, now my sister is your sister?â I asked trying to hide my laugh.
âNooo! Sheâs my girlfriend now!â Jaye said sounding irritated and I couldnât help but smile.
âHow can you have such bad taste Riya?â I teased looking at her. She laughed.
âBhai you donât have a problem with our relationship right?â she asked nervously looking at me.
I placed my hands on her cheeks gently. âYou wonât find anyone better than him in your entire life. I know heâs a stupid idiot but heâll take care of youâ I said glancing at Jaye who glared at me playfully.
âNow go to sleep itâs already lateâ I added and Riya nodded. She glanced at Jaye one last time before heading to her room.
âEk hi ghar mein rehte ho donoâ I muttered looking at Jaye who was still waving his hand at Riya even though she had left.
âGood night!â he said cheerfully before running off to his room. Heâs as precious as my sister I thought with a smile.
Finally I went into my room. She was already asleep. I quietly lay down beside her keeping a safe distance and soon drifted off to sleep.
Next day
Aaradhya's POV
We were sitting at the dining table waiting for Aarav ji and Jaye. Everyone else was already here.
âKahan hain ye dono?â Papa asked just as they both walked in together talking about something.
âGood morning!â Jaye said with a smile and sat beside Aarav ji. Bua mumbled something under her breath but no one paid attention to her.
âCan you please go and sit beside Riya? I want my wife to sit next to meâ Aarav ji said to Jaye making everyone laugh.
âSahi hai, biwi biwi hoti haiâ Jaye said standing up and moving towards Riya's seat while I moved to sit beside Aarav ji.
âArenât you being too romantic, Mr. Yaduvanshi?â Chachu teased Aarav ji but he just laughed softly.
Then Bua spoke up her voice filled with taunts. âAarav tumne is ladki ko accept kar liya? Huh! Yeh din dekhna baaki tha.â
I froze my eyes fixed on my plate. Her words stung. I waited hoping Aarav ji would say something but he stayed silent. Maybe I had too many expectations. I tried to eat again but I had lost my appetite. I felt like crying.
âKha lo, kha lo. Kabhi accha khana khaya nahi hoga na?â Bua taunted again. That was it. I couldnât take it anymore. I got up from my seat, ready to leave.
Everyone stared at me as I walked away but I didnât say a word. I just wanted to escape. Before I could leave Aarav ji caught my hand stopping me in my tracks.
âWhere are you going?â he asked looking directly into my eyes. I avoided his gaze.
âPlease let me goâ I whispered but his grip on my wrist tightened.
âNeverâ he said softly then turned to face Bua. His expression changed completely.
âGet upâ he said coldly his voice sharp.
âWhy? Main kyun uthun? Mera ghar hai yehâ Bua replied stubbornly still sitting in her place.
âI SAID GET UP!â Aarav ji shouted making everyone flinch. Bua finally stood trembling in fear.
âBhaiya dekh rahe ho? Kaise yeh aapki behen ki beizzati kar raha hai!â Bua complained to Papa but he seemed more interested in his paratha than her drama.
âLeave the mansion right nowâ Aarav ji commanded his voice ice-cold. Bua stared at him, shocked.
âW... why would I leave the mansion? Waise bhi yeh mere bhaiyon ka ghar haiâ Bua stuttered.
âYeh humara ghar nahibAarav ka ghar hai,â Papa and Chachu said together, making Bua even more shocked.
âToh kya aap log mujhe ghar se nikal doge?â Bua asked her voice breaking as tears started to fall.
âTumhare liye kuch bola aur isne hume bhi nikal diya toh budhape mein kahan rahenge hum?â Chachu joked.
âGuards! Take this woman out of the mansionâ Aarav ji called and within moments, seven women guards arrived. They grabbed Bua by her arms and started dragging her out.
âAur haan, ek baat dhyan rakhna yeh koi aam ladki nahi hai. Yeh Aaradhya Aarav Yaduvanshi hai. Samjhi aap?â Aarav ji said loudly, his voice filled with authority.
Bua kept pleading, âSorry, please mujhe mat nikalna. Please!â But her voice faded as the guards took her away.
âWhere will she live now?â I asked unable to stop myself. Everyone turned to glare at me.
âWeâve given her a luxurious apartment. Sheâll live there nowâ Maa explained calmly.
Aarav ji grabbed my hand and started dragging me toward our room.
âWha... what happened?â I asked nervously wondering why he was taking me like this.
âBhai baahon mein utha lo apni biwi ko!â Darsh teased making me glare at him.
Once inside our room Aarav ji pinned me against the wall. His arms caged me i and he looked at me intensely.
âKya... kya hua?â I stammered, looking everywhere but at him.
âWhy didnât you speak for yourself downstairs?â he asked his eyes searching mine.
I finally looked at him. âI never speak for myselfâ I admitted my voice low.
âWhy?â he asked softly still standing close to me.
âBecause Iâm not brave enoughâ I said with a sigh.
His eyes softened. âYouâre my wife and you have every right to stand up for yourself. If anyone disrespects you, even if you kill them Iâll handle the restâ he said referring to Bua.
I looked at him shocked. âBut why didnât you say something when she first taunted me?â I asked.
He smiled slightly. âI was waiting to see if my wife would stand up for herself. But sheâs too innocentâ he said brushing a strand of hair from my face.
I looked down feeling shy under his gaze.
âIâm goingâ he said suddenly stepping away from me.
âWhere?â The word escaped my mouth before I realized it.
He smirked making my heart skip a beat. Ahh, he looks so hot like this!
âTo earn money so that we can live a peaceful lifeâ he teased reminding me of yesterdayâs topic.
âBye, wifey. Take care of yourselfâ he said walking out of the room. My cheeks turned red.
âByeâ I whispered watching him leave.
Once he was gone I started jumping in excitement.
âHe spoke for me! Oh my God it was so dreamy!â I whispered hiding my face in my palms.
âHe looked so hot while saying all those things! Oh my God thank you! Youâve given me the best husband in the world!â I said happily smiling to myself.
At night
Aarav's POV
âPlace them in my roomâ I told the helpers. I had arranged a small surprise for her. Aaradhya was starting her college tomorrow and I wanted to gift her something special.
âWhat is all this?â Chachi asked looking at the boxes the helpers were carrying.
âThese are small gifts for Aaradhya as sheâs starting her collegeâ I explained rubbing the back of my neck shyly.
âThatâs my boy! Keep it upâ she said with a big smile pinching my cheek before leaving. Chachi is such a sweet and open minded lady.
I stepped into our room but Aaradhya wasnât there. The helpers placed the boxes inside and left. I was about to call her when she walked in.
âWhat are these boxes?â she asked her eyes wide as she looked at them.
âTheyâre for you. Please open themâ I said smiling. She glanced at me curiously before opening one of the boxes.
âThis is all for you since youâre going to start collegeâ I explained. Her eyes widened in shock as she looked at me.
âIsnât this a bit too much?â she asked, clearly overwhelmed.
âNo, itâs only half. The rest will arrive tomorrow,â I said casually grinning at her reaction.
âAre you kidding me? There are at least 500 dresses here, and youâre saying half are still left?â she exclaimed her jaw dropping.
âKam hain na?â I teased pretending to be serious.
âHaan, bahot kam hain!â she replied sarcastically glaring at me.
âIâll order more from the designer thenâ I said taking out my phone but she quickly stopped me.
âNo please! This is more than enough. I donât want any moreâ she said firmly and I put my phone away.
âAre you sure?â I asked. She nodded.
âBy the way thank you so much for thisâ she said softly her gaze fixed on the dresses. I smiled.
âThereâs a lot more to come wifeyâ I said heading toward the closet.
âThe helpers will set your dresses so donât worry about itâ I added and she hummed in response. Iâll give her every happiness in this world.
Aaradhya's POV
The dresses were so beautiful that I couldnât take my eyes off them. He had ordered all this just for me. I smiled, silently thanking God for blessing me with him.
âAaradhya come here!â I heard Papa and Chachu calling for me from downstairs. At the same time Aarav ji stepped out of the closet.
âComingâ I replied and we both headed downstairs together.
The moment we reached I froze in shock.
