Aarav’s POV

“In return I want to hug you whenever I want” I whispered in Aaradhya’s ear, my voice low “and I’ll cuddle you while sleeping.”

She looked at me shocked at first then her cheeks turned red as she started blushing.

“O...ok” she stuttered focusing hard on her plate.

Believe me if this is the price I’d give all my cars and everything to Darsh and Raj without a second thought.

“Ahem ahem” we suddenly heard Jaye’s voice. Kabab mein haddi, as always.

“Guys, get a room for yourselves” he muttered smirking.

I turned to glare at him Aaradhya doing the same beside me.

“Papa, Chachu” I called out loudly ignoring Jaye. Both of them looked at me curious.

“Haan?” Chachu asked raising an eyebrow.

“I’ve found a guy for Riya” I said casually.

Jaye’s glare instantly intensified. If looks could kill, I’d be dead by now.

“Achha? What’s the guy’s name?” Papa asked intrigued.

“He’s one of my business friends. Very successful and exactly the kind of guy you’ve been searching for Riya” I explained trying to sound innocent.

I could almost see the veins popping on Jaye’s forehead. Aaradhya quickly chimed in, “Yes Aarav ji told me about him too. He’s such a nice guy!”

Jaye turned his puppy-dog eyes toward Aaradhya and I was sure he had done something to win her over as well.

“Alright then introduce us to him” Chachu said nodding.

“No, I mean I’m not ready for all this yet” Riya blurted out making excuses.

“But what’s the harm in meeting him?” Chachu asked looking confused.

“If my daughter isn’t ready then the matter ends here,” Maa said firmly. Her tone left no room for arguments and the room went silent.

Jaye turned to me with an evil smile. I knew he was already plotting his revenge. Ahh I’m doomed now.

Aaradhya’s POV

I sit in my class waiting for the professor. Kia hasn’t arrived yet. My thoughts drift to this morning’s conversation with Aarav. Just remembering what he asked for makes my cheeks burn.

Who would’ve thought Aarav Yaduvanshi could be this romantic? I like this side of him. "Pervert Aaradhya" my conscience mocks.

“I’m not a pervert” I argue with myself silently. “And even if I am he’s my husband. I have all the rights on him!”

He’s really something. I feel something for him maybe I like him. Who wouldn’t, when he behaves like this? My life has changed so much. From being the bride who replaced someone else to now being the woman he’s ready to accept wholeheartedly.

I know he feels the same for me. Actions speak louder than words. It feels heavenly just thinking about us being together as a real husband and wife.

“Daydreaming?” I hear Kia’s voice and quickly give her a sheepish smile.

“What were you thinking?” she asks pulling out her books.

“Nothing, just random things” I reply casually. She nods handing me a small box.

“I made this especially for you” she says smiling widely.

I take a bite of the pastry and believe me it’s the best I’ve ever had.

“It’s so good!” I say taking another bite.

“Of course! I made it” Kia says dramatically flipping her hair. I laugh at her over-the-top behavior.

The professor arrives and the class begins. After class, we find out the next lectures are canceled for some reason.

“Let’s go sit there for a while” Kia says dragging me toward the grass area. As she pulls me along, I accidentally bump into someone, stumbling slightly. Thankfully Kia is holding my hand, so I don’t fall.

“I’m really sorry” I say quickly looking up to see who it is. It’s one of my seniors. He stares at me without blinking making me uncomfortable. I walk away with Kia avoiding his gaze but I can still feel him looking at me.

“He was staring at you” Kia says as soon as we sit on the grass.

“Yes, because we bumped into each other” I reply calmly. She nods but still seems curious.

“Do you know about the Yaduvanshi family?” she asks suddenly. I nod in response.

“Dad was telling me yesterday how humble they are. They’ve instructed every food shop in the city to feed anyone who’s hungry free of charge and they pay for it all” she says admiration clear in her voice.

I feel proud hearing this.

“They don’t even show it in the media. If someone else did this they’d make it a big deal for publicity. But they’re genuinely sweet people” she adds.

I smile softly nodding.

“This university belongs to them you know. Forty percent of the students here are on scholarships because of them” she continues praising my family.

I don’t say anything but my heart swells with pride.

Aarav’s POV

“Make sure everything goes according to plan” Papa says his tone firm as he speaks to our men.

“Everything is ready sir. We are just waiting for your order” one of them replies.

We recently found out that a well-known politician is involved in trafficking young girls with the help of some high-ranking police officers. We’ve decided to take action without letting anyone know.

“Make sure every girl is safe and sound” Chachu says. The man nods and leaves.

“I’m going with them” I say standing up from my seat.

“No, you’re not. It might be dangerous for our reputation and I don’t want anyone to know about this side of ours” Papa says staring out the glass wall.

“Believe me nothing will happen” I assure him. He looks at me for a moment and then scoffs lightly.

“Take care of yourself” Chachu says, patting my head.

“I will” I reply before walking out of the office.

At Night

“I’m home” I say as I step into the house. I see everyone sitting in the living room watching the news.

The anchor is reporting “Politician Rajveer Khanna has been found trafficking minor girls. A video of him involved in this heinous act has surfaced and several high-ranking police officers are also implicated. When we reached the location of these crimes, we found all the men beaten and lying on the ground. Rajveer Khanna was also there, with one of his legs shot. We don’t know who exposed this, but we are grateful to the brave person who brought it to light.”

“Wow, good people still exist” Maa says impressed.

I feel proud but stay quiet. Only Papa, Chachu, Jaye, and I know the truth.

I sit down beside Aaradhya who gives me a small smile. All my tiredness fades just by seeing her. Everyone starts chatting about random things.

“How was your day?” I ask her softly leaning closer.

She turns to face me. “It was fine. What about yours?” she asks looking at me.

I lean back on the couch. “Tiring” I reply, and she chuckles softly.

“Wanna have a cup of coffee with me?” she asks her smile shy.

“I’d be the biggest idiot in the world to say no” I reply and she laughs lightly.

“Yeh romance ki hawa kahaan se aa rahi hai?” we hear Darsh tease.

“Shayad bhai bhabhi ki taraf se” Riya adds, joining in. I know they’re both teasing us.

“Tum sab kabab mein haddi ho. Apni wife se baat bhi nahi kar sakta insaan” I say, pretending to be annoyed. Everyone bursts into laughter and Aaradhya’s cheeks turn red.

“Now we are seeing a new side of our lover boy every day” Chachu says,

laughing.

“You haven’t even seen a fraction of it” I think to myself smirking.

“You guys should go somewhere” Chachi suggests.

I silently thank her in my mind and glance at Aaradhya to see if she’s ready for such a step. She looks unsure so I decide for now.

“We’ll go after some time” I say and they nod in agreement.

Aaradhya's POV

It’s midnight, and I’m half-asleep when my phone starts ringing. Who’s calling at this hour? Without checking the caller ID, I answer the call.

“Hello, wifey” I hear Aarav Ji’s voice. I look at the phone in surprise and then turn to see he’s not in bed.

“Where are you?” I ask sitting up.

“Sorry for disturbing your beauty sleep, but can you come outside the mansion, please?” he says in such a soft voice that I can’t say no.

“Okay, I’m coming” I reply getting up and washing my face. Why is he calling me outside at this time?

I walk downstairs and step out of the mansion, only to freeze in shock. Aarav Ji is sitting on a sleek black superbike. wearing a leather jacket, leather pants, and a black helmet. He looks like a complete mafia boss.

“What is this?” I ask walking toward him. He smiles looking effortlessly cool.

“As far as I know, my wifey wanted to go on a late-night bike ride and as a good husband I’m fulfilling her wish” he says making my heart race.

“Would you give me the honor of taking you on a bike ride?” he asks bowing slightly and I can’t help but laugh.

“Do you even know how to ride a bike?” I tease as he hands me a helmet.

“I can ride many things, wifey. Wanna see?” he says with a smirk and my eyes widen. I catch the double meaning and my face heats up.

“Let’s go” I say quickly trying to ignore the images forming in my head. Aaradhya stop imagining things!

I sit behind him and he looks at me through the mirror.

“Hold me tight. I’m not going slow” he says in a teasing voice. I lightly hit his shoulder before holding onto him by his shoulders.

“Not like this. Like this” he says taking my hands and placing them around his stomach. My heartbeat goes crazy at his actions.

“Are you comfortable?” he asks with genuine concern. I smile at his thoughtfulness and nod. He starts the bike and we ride out of the mansion. I notice our bodyguards following us at a safe distance.

The roads are quiet and the chilly breeze feels refreshing. I smile realizing this was on my bucket list and he’s making it happen. Without realizing it I hug him tightly.

“Where do you want to go?” he asks speeding up the bike.

“I’m fine wherever you take me” I reply and he nods.

“You should’ve told me earlier so I could’ve changed. I’m in pajamas” I say glancing at my casual attire compared to his stylish look.

“It’s okay. You’re perfect in everything, wifey” he says making me blush.

At a traffic signal a car stops beside us. A group of girls inside the car looks like they’re returning from a party but why are they staring at Aarav Ji? I follow their gaze and realize they’re looking at him.

Ahh, how cheap of them to eye someone else’s husband! I glare at them but they can’t see my face because of the helmet. Annoyed, I hug Aarav Ji tighter and he holds my hand in return.

I look at him through the mirror and see him smirking. He brings my hand closer to his helmet and kisses it gently before placing it back on his stomach. My heart skips a beat. Did he notice I was jealous?

“I’m all yours” he says as if reading my mind. Butterflies go wild in my stomach and my face feels hot.

He takes me to a small tea stall in a quiet street. I get off the bike and he follows me. The stall is small but clean and cozy.

“Would you like tea or coffee?” he asks.

“Tea” I say realizing it’s been a while since I’ve had tea.

“Here you go” he says handing me a cup and sitting beside me on the bench.

“It’s getting colder. Where’s your tea?” I ask while sipping mine.

“Do you want me to drink it?” he asks looking at me. I nod.

“Okay” he says taking my cup and sipping from the same spot I drank from. The butterflies in my stomach go into overdrive.

“It’s good” he says with a teasing smile.

“Let’s go home” I say finishing my tea. He stands picks up our helmets and hands me his jacket.

“Here, wear this” Aarav Ji says.

“But you....” I start but he cuts me off.

“I’m fine. You wear it” he insists. I wear the jacket and sit behind him, hugging him tightly.

“Thank you for this” I say softly.

“Don’t thank me, but you can repay me in other ways” he says smirking.

“Nope. I’m not paying you” I reply and he laughs. His laughter is so addictive.

We return to the mansion and go to our room.

“Good night” I say closing my eyes but I feel him pull me into his arms. He hugs me tightly placing my head on his chest.

“Good night, wifey” he whispers and I drift off to sleep peacefully in his embrace.
