CHAPTER [2] - Don't mess with them

Big bad Damsel

Damsel could already feel blood rushing to his head as he shoved Mathew one last time to turn around, blowing his brown locks out of his sight to get a good view of his arch-nemesis who had interrupted the fight.

There he stood, in all his glory, his biggest rival and enemy, with his dark blood-red dyed hair styled messily, yet still somehow looking chic, and skin painted gold with the help of the sun that filtered through the windows with his already olive skin. His brown eyes present and full of anger that, for a reason damsel didn't know. The man had a jawline that could cut the earth, and his perfectly straight nose was by far perfect. Yet his rare, almost-never-apparent furious frown ruined the face Damsel hated for it's perfections.

The man himself was perfect.

Perfect grades, Perfect personality, Popular, Tall, Muscular, Cocky,

Confident.

Which Damsel absolutely loathed.

"What do you want, knight?" He spat at him, annoyance coating his words, in the mean time, Mathew simply smacked his head from behind at the absurd question he had even dared to ask. Damsel hissed in response.

What was going on?

As much as Damsel hated Darren, through-out all the years of their petty arguments and fights, this was the first time he had gotten this much of a reaction out of Darren. He didn't know what he did exactly, but if he found out, he'd definitely do it again.

"This is just petty, Prince." Darren started. "Even for you."

Damsel knocked his brain for answers, what did he do? Why was everyone mad at him? he already had 2 glares pointed his way.

With anger coating his face, Darren furiously marched towards him with eyes of black pearls, indicating it was his wolf who was control at the moment. Darren yanked him by the arm suddenly, keeping an iron grip and pulling him through the gossiping crowd.

Before he could do that though, damsel was quick to fight back.

"I'm not coming anywhere with you, you shit-head!" He shouted as he punched Darren, gasps crowded the hall as Darren's head turned to the side at the sudden impact. "Fuck off!"

Wrong move.

Damsel figured that much as he saw the older clench his jaw, snapping his neck as he loosened himself up. Damsel could tell Darren was trying his hardest to appear calm, but the veins on his muscled arms were so apparent, threatening to pop at his rising temperature, his thick brows flattening and his jaw tightening, making it seem even more apparent. Damsel would be lying if he said he didnt feel intimidated, he gulped as he swallowed the nervous bump in his throat. He was also an alpha, yet nothing was worse than 2 out of control alpha's going head to head,

Oh dear moon goddess, what the fuck was happening?

He thought,

.

.

.

Damsel trailed down the stairs and into the kitchen, still struggling to put on his hoodie in a hurry.

"Bacon and eggs." He threw the cook a cold glare as he put on his ear buds, playing "Falling for you - Peachy" on his phone, the cook only shook his head in submission and slid him a plate.

He ate breakfast quite peacefully, though-

"Damsel!" He heard his father shout through the doors, marching in with his alpha voice. Damsel jumped a bit at the sudden sound, not being used to his father's commanding voice. Behind him, he saw Mathew with a serious face, arms behind him as he stood like a beta, not a friend. Damsel raised a brow at his friend's stance, in which Mathew kept a straight face.

"Listen boy," His father sighed, causing damsel to immediately pause his song and take out his earbuds.

"Make it quick paps, I wanna get to the ice-cream van before school starts." Damsel said hurriedly, if anyone at school had heard him at this moment, they wouldn't believe it. Many rumors were spreading that he was meeting his girlfriend in the mornings, or that he was exchanging drugs in the black market, but no one would believe that he came late everyday because he wanted to buy from his favorite ice cream van at the time of their schedule.

He wanted to keep that a secret obviously.

"The Moon-Knight pack moved closer to us, more than before." The alpha brought him back to reality as he reported through a voice full of stress. "They've decided to expand their borders to touch ours."

At that moment, Damsel's grip tightened on his fork, his eyes turning crimson as the fork bent in response to the pressure caused by him. The pack had already invaded their city 20 years ago, now they were planning on invading their territory as well?

Damsel was not having it.

"Those bastards! It's like they're practically asking for a war!" He hissed, he slammed his hand on the counter, throwing the plate of food he had received onto the ground out of anger.

"You better sit yo thicc ass right back down you little piece of shit!" His mother, Cassandra yelled as the sound of breaking glass echoed through the hall. She soon followed behind his father wearing only a bath robe and a wine glass in her hand, "I am not cleaning that shit up!"

"Please honey, this is serious." Alpha nick explained softly, not wanting to make his mate any angrier that she is. He cleared his throat,

His father was a muscular man, and large at that as well with broad shoulders and tall frame, damsel got those genes at least. He was white, wearing a scruffy blonde beard and green eyes. If you saw them in public together, you'd never guess they were related; Damsel took after his mother more instead, with her gorgeous brown curly locks and sea-blue eyes, her straight nose and perfect lips. He was a living replica of his mom, and he'd always blame his mom for his feminine face. Probably why he's her favorite son as well, she'd always tell him he was pretty, that he was gorgeous, and that he was perfect, she was never blessed by a daughter after all. All her other sons took after their father. So that's why his mom saw him as her last piece of hope, she had to name him herself, her husband had named all his other 4 brothers, and she was determined to make damsel hers, she wouldn't take no for an answer. Which is why he always used to get mistaken for a girl as a child, since his mom dressed him up as she desired. "My little princess!" She'd always say as he walked around in frilly dresses.

just the thought disgusted him. he was a changed man now, we never talk about those days.

"Although we haven't been on the best terms, we don't want this sudden change to be the reason of our people's demise." He tried to talk with ease, not wanting to anger Damsel, "We cant have any mess-ups, don't try any funny business with The eldest knight, or anyone in that family, please."

His father knew Damsel far too well, He knew the kid would definitely not listen to a word he'd say.

The lakedale Pack and the Moon-Knight Pack had been in a cold war for 20 years, none daring to step out of their boundaries to start a real war, but they did their fair share of antics, each trying to irritate the other,

Exactly like how Damsel and a certain someone's relationship was.

Fighting was in their blood.

And Nick just didn't know of Damsel could control his temper.

So what were they trying to achieve by expanding their borders to theirs?

"Not only that, but.." He massaged his temples. "Their teenagers are going to be attending your high school aswell, since it's much closer." He had hoped Damsel wouldn't break something else, but boy was he wrong,

"What..?" He scoffed, disbelief coating his eyes, fists clenching already as he landed a full punch against the wall, a crack forming.

"So you're telling me," his hands went straight towards a stack of dried plates to his right, "I'm not only going to have to put up with one knight twat, but his whole fucking pack aswell?" His voice came out through a sadistic laugh,

He suddenly slid the stack of plates of the counter, each shattering one by one. Everyone immedietly knew what to do, the guards tried to grip damsel down, knowing what was to come.

"NO WAY IN FUCKING HELLL, THEY CAN SUCK MY FUCKING DICK! I'M NOT GOING TO LET THEM WALK AROUND AS THEY PLEASE ON OUR TERRITORY--"

He ended up ruining 5 rooms, breaking down 8 walls, and burning the garden and kitchen before going to school.

Like all of his tantrums.

[Flashback ends]

The two were in the middle of the crowd in the hallway, each glaring at each other.

"What crawled up your ass and died?" Damsel snickered at Darren's long face. The students around him muffled their whispers. Darren was quick to land a punch, fire evident in his eyes with a scornful glare he slammed damsel against the wall. Damsel only kept laughing,

"The fuck are you laughing at?" He growled. "If I didn't respect you before, i probably dont even see you as an equal to a fucking dog." He spat, his face leaning down to Damsel's.

"Oh no, what am I gonna do? The knight doesn't respect me!" Damsel cooed, smirking, kneeing the older in the stomach as he quickly switched their positions so that Now damsel was the one who had him cornered. A triumphant smirk grew on his face.

"What do I have to do to make you submit to me then, knight?" He smirked, getting awfully close to Darren's disgusted face. Only to have his words brushed aside.

"I thought maybe you'd take out your hatred on me," Darren leaned in closer to Damsel's face, his glare full of hate, he grabbed the younger's ear, pulling it harshly to his own lips, in which damsel hissed in complaints, his breath spreading across damsel's ear as he whispered the next part.

"Not my fucking brother, prince."

With that, Darren shoved him, making the boy land on the ground, but Darren wasn't going to leave it like that, oh no, he straddled Damsel's waist as he threw another punch at Damsel, letting bruises spread across the younger's untainted skin.

The surrounding students flashed their cameras, some taking videos, some taking pictures, the two had never taken it this far, never in the 17 years they had known each other had they beaten each other up to this extent, this was raw material,

This was a real fight.

Damsel's eyes grew wide as he struggled underneath the older, even surprised himself as he looked up at the older's angered eyes. He saw Darren coming in for another punch,so he pulled Darren by the collar of his shirt as he threw his head forward, head-butting him hard. Darren hissed in pain as he fell back, the pain spreading throughout his body as he clutched the area he had been hit, while Damsel quickly got back up to his feet, tasting the blood that was slithering down from his head.

Only Darren could make him bleed like that, all his other components were pussies,

Darren fought like a man.

Those thoughts made Damsel scoff in jealousy.

What brother?

He thought back to what had happened in the morning, his mind travelling back to the only boy he had beaten up today, to the way the students were 'over-reacting' gasping and whispering.

He finally realized.

The Simon kid was his brother!

Now he knew why Mathew was so angry, and why Darren was attacking him, why everyone was shaken up, soon he thought back to his father's words that he had heard since he was a child.

Pick a fight with a pack member, prepare to fight with it's whole pack.

shit.

he was fucked.

This could start the real war his father had been trying to prevent for the past 20 years, this could be their downfall, this could lead to the pack's death, he quickly looked behind Darren who was still trying to recover from the hit, to where Mathew was standing with a horrified expression.

Damsel struggled to keep his thoughts straight as he tried finding an alternative, how was he going to fix this? It was all that Stuart kid's fault, if he hadn't been born such a pussy, none of this would've happened! How did he grow up to be that weak when Darren's such a fucking beast?

Darren stood up amongst the crowd. It was too late to back out now, he shouldn't have beaten up the kid, nothing could fix this, he wouldn't have risked his family,

So Damsel did the next stupidest thing.

"What are you gonna do about it?" He scoffed. "Alpha." he dragged out the word, testing Darren's authority.

Second wrong move, you should never question an alpha's authority.

At that moment, Damsel felt his knees growing weak, his surroundings become dense as the atmosphere dropped, he struggled to breath properly as his sight became blurry; damsel noticed that even the crowd had become weak, some had lowered their heads, some were trying to fight back, it was as if there was a sudden force that was weighing everyone down suddenly.

"What am I gonna do about it?" Darren coldly repeated, his voice becoming strangely deep and authoritative.

He walked forward towards the younger, seemingly completely unaffected by the atmosphere around them, and unlike Darren, Damsel had completely fallen under the pressure. Darren took a strong grip of the younger's neck, backing him up against the locker as he raised him, Damsel found his lungs struggled to work, Darren's grip tightening and blocking any possible airways connected to his lungs/

Even the crowd didn't have the ability to move, Damsel could only guess what was happening

"I'll tell you what I'll do."

"Bite." Darren smirked.

Darren knight was using his alpha pheromones.
