36. THANOS IS MUCH BETTER

-"Jaan! What is happening here?"

I turned my head and saw Faisal coming out of changing room.

"I've heard shouting voice. What happened?" He said looking at me confused.

-"Nothing Faisal. I was just showing an old mannerless lady her right place." I said leaving her hairs.

-"Faisal Khan." That lady speak and colors drained from Faisal's face hearing her. I saw that lady was smiling looking at him.

-"Y......y......yo.....you?" Faisal said stammering looking at her. What happened to him all of sudden? I moved to him.

-"Faisal......"

-"You are her husband?" Then she laughed.

Faisal shivered, he started sweating. His face is full of sweat and his eyes are showing fear.

What is happening to him? I hold his both arms.

-"Faisal. What happened?" He was just looking at her and she was smirking. I cupped Faisal's face "Faisal. Look at me. What you........"

-"So this is your wife. Zoya Faisal Khan, huh? I must say that your choice is very good. She is really very beautiful and very young also.

Then she laughed evilly.

I took steps near her, and she moved backwards. Her back hitted the wall and her face is looking like she has lost her fight with Avengers and they're coming to punish her.

-"You were giving me an offer right? I myself had an offer for you."

I stand little distance away from her.

"You can try auditioning in MCU for Avengers The Kang Dynasty. You'll surely get role of a monster or something."

-"You are disrespecting me very much. My son will....."

-"What your son will do?! Huh? Tell me! My Faisal will not even let anyone touch me."

-"Silent." I said glaring at her and she closed her mouth immediately.

She immediately ran away and all the guards started laughing on her.

I turned to Faisal and found him coming towards me.

He hold my hand and started walking out. The people who were gathered to look at the drama gave us way by moving aside. We sat in car and Zack started driving. The whole drive was silent neither of us has spoken even a letter.

I have many questions which he have to answer.

AT PENTHOUSE

-"That old lady....... Who was she?"

-"I don't know." He said looking at other side.

-"You don't know? Really Faisal? She knew you, she also knew Roshni Di. And why were you shivering when she was talking to you? Why were you scared of her if you don't know who was she?"

-"I was not scared. I'm not scared of anyone! UNDERSTAND?!" He shouted.

-"There you were silent and here you're shouting on me."

-"You mean that I should have yelled on her? It would have been right?"

-"That lady was calling me a richf*cker. She was telling me to sleep with her son and other men. She was telling me to become her son's sl*t.

Tears fell from my eyes.

I said and moved upstairs. I went in my room and closed the door. I leaned on the door and let my tears fall. I'm not hurt because she said that things about me, the thing hurting me is that he was silent. It's not like I can't defend myself, I can, I did it today and I always does. But he is my husband and he should..........

He told me to forget what she said. And he and his mother are his problem only not mine and it's related to him only not me.

I wiped my tears and removed my boots. I tied my hairs in a ponytail. I stand in front of mirror and my eyes went to the necklace. I traced it with my fingers.

Today was our first date. I was so excited for it. I was so happy. We were so happy. But look where we're now. Just because of someone.

Who was she? How she knew Roshni Di and Faisal? How she knew my name? How she is related to Faisal? Why was Faisal scared of her? Faisal is that kind of person whose presence can make someone afraid of him but there what happened to him? I want answers to my questions and I know who can give them.

I changed my clothes and sat on couch after removing makeup.

It's 10:00 now called Rehan Bhai but hus phone was switched off. I called Lucifer Bhai he picked up the call

-"Hello Bhai!"

-"Good evening ma'am. But I'm Diego here."

-"Where is Bhai?"

-"Ma'am Sir is in an important meeting right now. Is it urgent? If you want then I'll........"

-"No. No. Let it be. Just inform him after meeting that I called him and I have to talk to him about something important."

I got ready for college and came downstairs. Faisal was not in kitchen but the breakfast was ready. Maybe he would have left early. I had breakfast alone and then the door bell rang. I opened the door and found Zack

I went inside and took my bag from couch. Then we left for college. I was sitting on back seat as usual, driver is driving car and Zack is sitting on passenger seat.

-"Ma'am Sir has gone to Auckland for a business meeting. He left very early in morning so he told me to inform you."

TIME SKIP TO 5PM

Location : The Paradise

(Rehan and Jay's hotel)

Me, Lucifer Bhai and Rehan Bhai are sitting on couch beside a table.

-"Doll why you called me yesterday? Diego was telling that it was something important. Sorry I was busy in meeting."

-"It's okay Bhai. But you know there are some persons who switches off their phone to avoid calls."

-"Cutie!"

-"What Cutie?"

-"Sorry na. Now tell what happened that you called us both to meet you urgently?"

-"Actually we had gone for a date......."

-"Oh my goodness! A date! Wow! It's so........" Rehan Bhai exclaimed.

-"Rehan! Shut up. Doll you speak."

-"So yesterday......." I narrated everything that happened yesterday at mall.

-"Yes Cutie. She is Fiona Wells mother of David Wells."

-"But why was Faisal was scared when he saw her?"

-"Yes. But Faisal used to live in London and we used to live here in Massachusetts. And after his parents' death Fiona adopted him and he shifted to her house in California.

She and David used to beat him, they used to hurt him. They didn't even gave him food properly. They used to torture him.

One day Faisal got unconscious he was not opening his eyes then they took him to hospital. The doctor who treated him knew Dad and he also knew that Faisal is his friend's child. After he saw torture marks on Faisal's body he immediately informed Dad."

-"My Faisal has......"

A lone tear escaped my eyes.

-"My Faisal has gone through this. He.....he was just 6 years old."

-"Doll." He wiped my tears and put his hand on my shoulder.

-"Remember you asked me that why I calls him monkey when he is like a dragon. When his parents were alive he was the most naughtiest child you would've ever seen. Whenever we used to go their house to meet them he used to brought chocolates for Roshni and flowers for me." He chuckled sadly and continued.

"He used to prank everyone including his school teachers and neighbours. He was very innocent and naive, away from every evil of this world. He was my monkey.

But that Fiona...... she changed him into a cold and heartless person."

-"How long he lived there?" I asked him.

-"3 years."

-"3 YEARS? You never went to meet him in those three years?"

-"We tried, but that Fiona never let us met him, saying that she has his custody now, she adopted him and we have no right on him. But after doctor informed Dad about Faisal's condition we filed complain against her and then we brought him here."

-"But why she........"

-"Good evening everyone!" Jay wished us coming towards our table. We immediately stopped talking about Faisal.

-"Hello Jay. Come have a seat." Rehan Bhai said.

He sat beside Rehan Bhai and looked at me, his smile faded.

-"Zoya. Why are you crying? What happened?"

I immediately wiped my tears and smiled.

-"No.....nothing...... nothing happened."

-"You're lying." He said looking at me with suspicious eyes. I looked down.

-"Why are you so interested in knowing that why she is crying? You......."

-"Bhai!" I put my hand on Lucifer Bhai's shoulder. "No. He is my friend."

-"Who are you Mr.?" Jay asked. They both are glaring at each other.

-"Hey guys! Don't start fighting here."

-"I'm not fighting." They both said in unison and again glared at each other.

Again. I started laughing.

-"Doll. Why you're making fun of your Bhai?"

-"No. I'm not. Who told you?" I said seriously and stopped laughing. He just glared at me.

"Bhai!" I said pouting cutely making puppy eyes.

He smiled and pulled my cheek. I looked at Jay and he was looking at me smiling.

-"Sorry Jay. Actually my brothers are too overprotective of me."

-"Cutie. It's our unconditional love for our little sister, right Fero?"

-"Yes." Then he turned to Jay.

"Well hello Jay I'm Lucifer Montano your business partner's friend and your friend Zoya's brother."

-"Hello Mr. Montano I'm Jay Welson and you already know who I am."

Then they shake hands.

"Why are you all sitting here like this? Order something. Waiter!"

A waiter came and wished us.

-"Bring one strawberry shake and....." Then he turned to Bhai "Coffee?"

-"Sure."

-"And three coffee."

Waiter left and I asked to Jay.

-"How you know that I likes strawberry shake?"

-"Just like that."

-"Seriously?"

-"Actually I had noticed that you were drinking strawberry shake mostly, here in party and when you were in Nashville also."

-"That's impressive Mr. Welson." I said teasingly and he shrugged his shoulders.

-"So..... Jay I've heard that you are going to Egypt." Rehan Bhai asked.

-"Wow! Egypt!" I exclaimed.

-"You like that place?"

-"Yes. Actually I'm very interested in Egyptian history and specially mummies and all. It's one of my wishlist to see those things."

-"Really? You know I'm going to open museum here which will be related to Egyptian history that's why I'm going to Egypt."

-"Wow! I'll surely come to your Museum when it'll be open."

-"You don't have to wait. Half of the things are coming tomorrow you can join me, we'll together inspect them."

-"Tomorrow......"

-"Cutie. Tomorrow is Sunday and you should go if you're interested."

-"Okay. I'll join you Jay."

Then the waiter came and after drinking strawberry shake and coffee we bid bye to Jay and Rehan Bhai as they have some work. Lucifer Bhai was coming to drop me but I refused him saying that I'll go with Zack, because I know that he is working on an important project. Again.

These typical busy CEOs! Oh! And one Godfather also.

PENTHOUSE

I came downstairs after taking a bath and wearing hoodie and trousers. I heard doorbell. I opened the door and found

-"Mark?"

-"Good evening ma'am. Actually Reema ma'am has sent this for you."

He hand me a big lunch box.

-"Aww..... Thank you so much Mark."

-"It's my duty ma'am."

Then he left. I called Mom and thanked her.

After sometime I ended the call and sat on dining table. I opened the lunch box. There are noodles, potato parantha, tamarind sauce and choco cake inside it. I giggled looking at it. Her food tastes just like my Mummy. I'm so lucky to have two mothers.

Then my mind went to Faisal and smile faded from my face. He became orphan when he was just six. He lost his Mom and Dad. And then that witch adopted him. I wonder why she adopted him when she never wanted him.

She used to beat him. They tortured him. He was just six years old that time. How can someone do that to a little innocent child? They both mother son are monsters. Heartless monsters. They didn't even gave him food properly. How can they........

My eyes became teary. I wiped my tears and put the food in refrigerator. I'm in no mood to eat anything now.

I moved in balcony. The cold wind made me shiver. I remembered how Faisal used to scold me whenever I goes out in balcony at night. A smile crept on my face.

I came back inside closing the door and sat on couch. I switched on TV. A news is going on, it's about the fastest growing company in USA. And that company is Khan group of industries. Then it started showing an article about Faisal.

I switched off the TV and glanced at whole house which is looking very empty without Faisal.

-"I'm missing you my grumpy husband. It has just been some hours and I'm missing you so much. I don't even know when will you return.

You are very bad. You didn't even informed me that you're going somewhere.

I know that you was very angry yesterday that's why you shouted on me but it doesn't mean that you'll not even talk to me and left me alone in this huge house of yours.

Faisal. I promise you that I'll make you strong enough to fight with your fears. I can't see how much that lady affects you. She is a witch and I'm your angel right? So this angel of yours will protect you from that bad witch. I promise.

But please come back fast. Come and shout on me as much as you want, I'll not argue with you. I feels so lonely without you. You are my everything, my life, my happiness and my love also.

Yes. You are my love. Now I've concluded that what I feels for you is love. I don't know if you feels the same or not. I don't even expect you loving me back because I know that if I'll say to you that I love you, you'll think that my feelings are lie just like everyone else who told you that they loves you but they betrayed you at last. I sighed and put my knees on couch hugging them.

"I can even leave my studies for you. You know my studies and college was everything for me after my parents, but now you are my everything. My cold arrogant grumpy husband.

Zoya also loves Faisal, but she don't know that he also loves him.
