46. WHAT I DID?

JAY'S POV

-"FAISAL KHAN!" I shouted and marched inside his cabin.

-"What is the need to shout Jay? Faisal is present here only." Rehan said.

-"Oh! So all three b*stards are collected here." I said while looking at Rehan and that bloody mafia sitting on couch.

-"Mind your language Welson."

-"You don't need to teach manners to me Montano."

-"Montano? You also changed your talking style like your lover?" He asked. After hearing this I can't stay quiet.

-"Aren't you feeling little bit of shame while saying this about your own sister? Oh! Sorry. I forgot that you never loved her as your sister as you betrayed her." I said mocking him. Zoya told me to not argue with Mr. Khan only, these two are not included.

-"We betrayed her?" Rehan asked while standing up. "She was the one making fool of us. She played with our feelings."

-"She played? You were the one who left her alone when she needed you the most. She has always completed her duty as your sister and....." He interrupted me and said

-"Duty as sister? Which duties are you talking about? She didn't even came to my marriage." I laughed hearing him. "Why're you laughing?" He asked.

-"She didn't came? You didn't even invited her, but still she came. She came on the day of your marriage, uninvited, but your mother didn't let her meet you."

-"Do you think that I'll believe you?" He asked while raising his eyebrows.

-"Then ask your mother yourself."

-"If she would have came, then mom would've told me. I don't need to ask her and show her that I'm suspecting her."

-"Okay. Don't ask her, but you can go and see on top of bookshelf of her room, there is a gift pack wrapped in dark blue velvet box and it's written on it 'For one of the two best brothers in the world and his wife. From Zoya & Faisal'. Go and see it yourself."

-"How can we believe that, that gift was bought on my marriage and not some days ago to prove that how much she......" I interrupted him.

-"There are customised chocolates in that box which she ordered as per your liking. If you'll open that box right now, then you'll find chocolates in it. You can find manufacture and expiry dates on it. And if still you don't believe it, then you can contact that shop or you can even check CCTV of your house." I said.

-"Mom didn't told me. And if she came on my marriage but mom didn't let her meet me that day, she could have came another day."

-"Do you think that after being thrown out by great mother of yours she will ever come to your house?"

-"She can't do this." He said defending.

-"She just didn't threw her out, she said such low words to her that Zoya will never be able to come to your house or near you again. She called her a witch, a bad omen, a gold digger, a burden, a murderer and told her to go and die somewhere."

He marched towards me and said while pointing finger towards me

-"She can't say this."

-"She can! She had!" I shouted.

-"I trusts my mom."

-"Wow! Amazing!" I said while clapping.

-"Jay!"

-"You don't need to interfere Mr. Lucifer Montano. Or do you want me to show you your truth also? I think I should. You've proved Mr. Montano that you're a mafia king. Because the way you had played dirty games with her, the way you changed your character is unbelievable. One day you came after years and said mean words, then you behaved like a good brother and acted with your friends just to hurt her. F*cking mafia."

-"Enough of your bullsh*t!" Mr. Khan shouted and walked to me. "That lover of yours is not an angel herself. You don't need to show that we're all at fault and she's a pure holy angel who is innocent."

-"She's not an angel? You yourself used to call her your angel. She's a pure hearted......."

-"I was fool for trusting her and you're wrong, she is not pure."

-"She's not pure? She is the purest girl I've ever seen. She is a pure soul, her heart worth more than your whole property."

-"Stop this nonsense. She is just a betrayer. She slept with you get pregnant, she's a sl*t........."

-"SHUT UP!" I yelled and held his collar. "How you dare say this about her! How dare you call her sl*t! I'll kill you!" I yelled and was going to punch him when her words rang in my mind.

And lastly, don't meet Faisal ever again and don't you dare hurt my Faisal.

I stopped and left him. I closed my eyes and clenched my hands into fist to control my anger. My blood is boiling looking at these persons.

"I'm leaving you just because of her." I told him.

-"She would have told you to go and prove that she is right and we all are wrong. But go and say to her that this Faisal is not going to become a fool again."

I chuckled and patted his shoulders.

-"You're absolutely wrong Mr. Khan. In place she told me to never prove you wrong. She told me to let you believe whatever you thinks."

"Oh! Sorry. I told you something that I shouldn't have. But it doesn't matters, because after seeing hatred of you all, I'm pretty sure that I don't have to do Or pretend anything. Because you people are so blind in hatred that you can trust whole world, but Zoya? Never."

-"What do you mean?" He asked.

-"I means this." I gave him Zoya's cheque.

-"Six million dollars?"

-"Shocked? Because she only took four? These two are for everything you gave to her in these years. I'm still confused that why she gave you additional money when you never gave her anything except pain. But still..... If she has done it, then it's right. And before you ask! That from where this much money came to her! Let it know that she used to take salary for working here 11 to 13 hours like her life depends on this company. Though it was truth, let it be."

-"What do you mean? Why're you giving this in place of her?" He asked holding my collar. I pushed him away and shouted

-"BECAUSE SHE GAVE ME THIS F*CKING RESPONSIBILITY OF GIVING YOU MONEY! BECAUSE SHE LEFT! BECAUSE SHE WENT TO GOD KNOWS WHERE AFTER BEING BROKEN BY......." I stopped realising that I'm saying what I shouldn't. I took a deep breath and turned to leave because if I stayed here around these b*stards, I'll lose my temper and will do something that Zoya will never forgive. I don't want to break my promise because of these unworthy unlucky people who broke that pure holy angel whom God gifted them. I wonder why God gave her to them all who don't even know the worth of her. He gave her to these people who while having her in their life never understood her worth, when here I was happy just by her existence.

-"I'm going now. Sorry if I spoke too much." I said and walked to door, just as I opened it

-"Jay! She really left?" I heard the voice of that person whom I'm leaving alive just because of her. I turned and said

-"Is that even a question CEO Mr. Faisal Khan? After being told to sign divorce papers, after being slapped by her own husband, she would have stayed? And why're you asking it? You yourself wanted this, right?"

-"I didn't thought that she'll really left." He whispered.

-"You should have thought this." I said and walked out. I've to do preparations for leaving this place. I will go away from Mr. Khan and everyone not only because Zoya wanted, but also because this place reminds me of her. I'll go very far from here it's not like that I'll not miss her. I cannot forget her for even a moment till I'm alive. Even I failed to get her as my love, but I had her as my best friend and I will never ever break this relation of us.

I will keep my promise buddy, I will do what you wanted me to.

PENTHOUSE

FAISAL'S POV

We three entered penthouse and directly went in her room. The door was opened, we looked at each other's face then I opened the door. I went inside and found bags of clothes I brought for her and that soft coat which I gave her kept there.

I found a blue jewellery box, I opened it and found the necklace that I gifted her on our date.

-"She left this?" Rehan exclaimed looking at necklace.

I went to wardrobe and found it empty. Nothing is here. Her clothes, shoes, nothing. I went to dressing table and found it empty. I went to bookshelf, it's also empty.

I reminded something, so I directly went to my room and searched in drawer.

-"What're you looking Faisal?"

-"Rehan a recorder was here. It was not mine, maybe it was hers. But it's not here."

-"What was in that?"

-"Don't know."

I said and went near dustbin. I found that the teddy is not here.

-"What happened?"

-"Rehan. I threw that teddy here in dustbin after tearing it, but it's also not here."

-"Teddy? That one which she gave you?" He asked and I nodded.

-"Is this that recorder?" Lucifer asked taking out something from dustbin.

-"Yes." I answered looking at it.

-"It's broken. But this memory chip is left. Where is your laptop Faisal?" He asked carefully examining it.

-"In study room." I said and we all went to my study room. Lucifer went to my laptop and I found a file open on table. These are divorce papers. I found her signatures next to mine at bottom of paper. It's written as Zoya F Khan.

-"Faisal!" I heard her voice. I immediately looked at Lucifer.

"How you used to handle this giant company of yours? I thought that killing Hella and Thanos were the most difficult thing, but managing your company is way more difficult. It just has been one week and I'm so much tired. I don't know much about business and as much I've learned in college, it's nothing compared to my responsibility. But Jay is helping me a lot. He is very nice. I also told him that you wanted him to become your brother. And you know what? He agreed. But when he called me Bhabhi..... Eww! It sounded nothing good. So I cancelled my proposal. Sorry. Now he is not your brother, he's only my friend.

This smell? Oh God! My coffee!" She shouted and it went silent.

-"There are more recordings." Lucifer said.

-"Play another one." I said.

-"Mr. Arrogant. *sobbing sound* I'm missing you husband. Where are you? Why *sobbing sound* Why you..... *sobbing sound* Faisal...... I...I can't speak more.... I'm.... I think I'm.... having panic attack again." Then it went silent.

-"Panic attack?" I asked confused.

-"She had one on that day when your accident news came. I didn't knew that she had them afterwards also." Rehan said.

-"Let me play it." I said and took laptop towards myself. I played other one

-"Faisal. I'm sorry. I took drop out from my premedical studies. I'm not able to study two courses and handle company together. And I'll study only business from now on, this way your company will be able to get my attention more. And don't think that I'm doing it for you, I'm doing it for myself. Because business is more interesting than biology. But....

I can't lie from you. Sorry again. I'm.... *sobbing sound* I'm not able to concentrate in studies along with company. I can't handle both. *sob* My head is paining a lot these days. I talked to psychiatrist, she said that if I continued to take stress and slept again for only five hours in upcoming week like usual then my panic attacks will never go away. So I thought to take rest a bit by leaving that and now I've less to study, so that I'll be able to spent additional hours in office work."

-"She left her dream?" I exclaimed and played another one.

-"Jay got to know. He got to know that I left my premed studies. He scolded me a lot for it.

Actually I shouted on him and said bad words to him. And then I myself became angry on him and left from there. What should I do Faisal? I know it was my mistake, he was just......

*Zoya! Zoya where are you buddy? Please forget your friend! I'm sorry buddy!* (voice from far)

Look here he came to apologize when I should apologize instead. This brother of yours is so stupid. He cares for me a lot.

*Zoya! Where are you buddy?*

Coming...."

It stopped. Lucifer sat on chair looking down. I played another one.

"Why you left me Faisal? Why you went away leaving me here to suffer?

You was my everything Faisal. And when you went away, my everything went away with you.

*sobbing sound*

My Bhai. My Rehan Bhai is getting married today. You yourself know that how much excited I was for his marriage. He told me one day that I'll be the first person whom he'll tell about his girlfriend whenever he got any. But he....... He didn't even told me Faisal. Still I went there. Just to see him once but, Mom threw me away. She said.......

*sobbing sound*

I am not a gold digger. Trust me Faisal. I am not...... *sounds of crying bitterly*

She is right Faisal. No one wants me. My parents said that I betrayed them by marrying someone without their knowledge and they don't want to keep relation with me.

They thinks that I made some plan for getting the place of CEO and your property, that's why just after your death instead of mourning I...... I called lawyer and became owner of everything.

Lucifer Bhai also left to Italy without any information. He didn't even contacted me. So it's clear that he also thinks the same.

My friends didn't even contacted me since I became CEO.

-"Jay?"

*Why are you crying Zoya? Your tears are very precious. Don't waste them for the people who don't even worth them. Zack told me everything. I know how she.....*

-"I'm not crying for them Jay. I'm....... I'm crying on my stupidity. Because of which I was thinking that even Faisal left, still I have everyone with me. I have many people who loves me."

*Zoya......*

-"You were the one who made me believe that right? But you was wrong. My parents, mom, dad, Rehan bhai, Lucifer bhai, where are they? You told me that these all people loves me and are with me, right?

They thinks that I planned Faisal's death. They thinks that I was behind Faisal's money that's why I immediately became CEO. But Jay you know that why I did that. I never wanted Faisal's money. I just wanted him and his love. I just wanted a happy life with him. I wanted his hapiness. I was never behind anything else.

*I know Zoya. I know how pure your soul is. You can never ever see him hurt. I know you Zoya. You loved him more than yourself.*

-"Then why they can't see that? Tell me. You told me to live for the people who loves me. But no one loves me. I'm all alone. Now I have no one. No one even wants me. I'm just a burden. Then for whom I should live? Mom was right. Why I'm still alive? No one wants me. I should go and die somewhere. No one will care if I died. I should........"

*ZOYA! What the hell are you saying? You're believing her words?*

-"She was right Jay. No one wants me. I'm a burden, then why I should live?"

*You're not a burden Zoya. You're an angel. Mr. Khan used to call you angel right? Did Mr. Khan ever called you unwanted or a burden?*

The recording stopped. Land slided down my feet after hearing it. I'm feeling like soul left my body. What I did? I destroyed my own world myself?

-"Faisal......."

-"I'm going to Jay." I said and went out.

-"Faisal stop! Faisal....."

They kept calling me but I didn't stopped. Only Jay can tell me truth.

RC COMPANIES (JAY'S COMPANY)

I entered inside his cabin and found him taking out files from his bookshelf. I directly went towards him

-"Jay.... "

-"What are you doing here? Get out please."

-"I want to talk.... "

-"But I don't want to even see your face. Please go away I don't want to hurt you." He said while turning to other side.

-"Jay. Where is Zoya?"

-"I don't know."

-"Please tell me I....."

-"I don't know. And even if i knew, i wouldn't tell."

I went to him and put my hand on his shoulder.

-"Jay....." He turned and removed my hand forcefully.

-"Don't touch me with these hands who slapped her. And please go away. I can't hurt you or argue with you. Please."

-"Why? When you can show truth to Rehan and Lucifer then why not me?"

-"Because I'm not allowed to! Now go away!" He shouted while turning. I moved to him and hit his table with my hand forcefully

-"Why you......" Something caught my eyes. "This writing...." I hold a handwritten letter from his table. He immediately snatched it.

-"Don't touch my things. Get out!"

-"It's Zoya's handwriting! Show me." I said trying to get letter from him. But he hided it and moved back.

-"No it's not."

-"It is. I know my Zoya's writing. Show me!" I snatched it from him. It's really hers letter for Jay? I read it.

My dearest friend Jay,

You would have been thinking that what happened to your buddy that she's writing a letter to you. But Jay, it's the only option through which I can talk to you now. Because I know that if I tried to explain you everything face to face then you'll never support my decision. But you have to Jay. You have to support me this time also, like always.

You know it Jay, that how much I loves Faisal. You also knows that I can do anything for him. And this time, I'm going to do the last thing for him because after this......

I can't give Faisal the happiness he deserves. I can never complete his dream of having his own family. He deserves a happy life and I can't give him that. He deserves someone better than me Jay. Jay. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry for giving you this much big responsibility, but you're the only one who trusts me and will never blame me for anything. I'm sending you a cheque of six million dollars. It's the money I've earned in these years. I used to take my salary. Please give this cheque to Faisal and tell him that Four millions are that which I had taken from company without any information, one million which he gave me on our marriage and one million for living in his house and everything he did for me. Please give him this cheque without any argument or anything. You'll not fight with him or will say anything to him. And for your information I took these four millions for making Faisal's fairy land and for study and living of all children.

And lastly, don't meet Faisal ever again and don't you dare hurt my Faisal.
