48. IT'S NOT THE ONLY THING YOU'RE HIDING

I opened my eyes and found myself sleeping in an unknown place. I looked around and realised that I'm in Nevada. I glance at left side of bed and found it empty. I immediately got up from bed. She is not here. I remember last night we both slept here and this pillow wall is also here which she made saying that it's part of my punishment so I can't hold her while sleeping. Well, I'm ready to be punished after whatever I did.

But where she is now? I checked in bathroom but it's empty. I checked the whole house but it's empty. Fear started engulfing me. No. It can't happen. She can't leave me again. I can't live without her.

I got out of house and found her on road at some distance. I ran to her and immediately hugged her.

-"Faisal. What happened?" She asked while breaking the hug.

-"Nothing. What's in this bag Jaan?" I asked taking a bag from her. If I told her that I thought she left me, she'll think that I don't trust her. So it's better to not say it.

-"It has some groceries and other things." She said while opening the door. Now what the hell is with these groceries? I put the bag in kitchen and stand in front of her. She looked at me confused.

-"Groceries? What was the need to buy anything? Are you not going to our home with me? Because if you thinking that you can live here, so it's a big no. You can't live here anymore and we're going home today itself!" I shouted.

-"I'm not going to stay here either. We will go back to our home. I bought some gifts for Mrs. Jandy and her family along with something to cook for us." She explained.

-"Oh..... I understood." I said and went in living room. I sat on couch sighing. I thinks I overreacted. I found her coming towards me. She came and sat besides me.

-"Faisal. Why're you afraid?" She asked.

-"I'm not." I said looking away.

-"You are. It's clearly visible on your face. When you didn't found me in house, you thought I left you right?" She asked but I kept looking away.

"Faisal look at me." She said and I looked at her.

-"You're right Jaan. I was scared when I didn't found you. I thought you left me again. It's not easy for me to accept that you really agreed to forgive me. Because whatever I did was......." I looked down and sigh. "I'm a b*stard. I believed that f*cking bullsh*t against you. And the biggest sin I........ I slapped you. I didn't trusted you and thought that your love and care was just a act. But that was because of my past. It has made me like this."

-"But are you ready to move on? I'm not only asking about us. I'm asking about everything. Because I know that more than half of the reason behind your lack of trust and behaviour is your past. I know you're in pain and you're suffering. But you know what Faisal? Pain is a necessary part of life but suffering is not. It is safe to let go. You don't drown by falling in the water you drown by staying there. And here water refers to your past. You're not able to move on because you're staying in past and hence you're drowning.

The thing that matters is that what you're going to do with your past? Are you ready to move on?"

-"I am. I am ready to let go of my past. Just me, you and our love. No lies, no misunderstandings, no more running away. I'm ready to start a new life with you. Are you ready?" I asked and she nodded. I hugged her but she immediately broke the hug and touched my forehead and neck with back of her hand.

-"You've fever Faisal." She said worriedly.

-"Don't worry Jaan. It's not much."

-"Really? Have you checked?" She asked strictly. I nodded negatively. "Then how can you say this? Idiot!" She got up from couch and glared at me.

-"What?" I asked.

-"Are you planning to stay here whole day? Go and get fresh! Go!" She said and pulled my arm. I got up and went to room. "Don't you dare to take a cold shower!" I heard her shouting and a smile came on my face.

I went inside bathroom and took a hot shower. Clothes? What I'll wear now? I wrapped towel and went back in bedroom. I found a white shirt and black pants on bed.

-"Jaan!" I shouted.

-"Yes hubby! I bought those clothes for you. Now wear them and come for breakfast!" She shouted from outside.

I wore the clothes and went to hall. I found her sitting near table. She's using her mobile and the look on her face is telling me that she's very concentrated in whatever she's doing. I sat besides her and she immediately looked at me in shock.

-"I scared you?"

-"No. It's not like that. I was too engrossed in mobile that I didn't noticed." She said smiling. But why I'm feeling that this smile is fake?

-"Jaan? You're fine right?"

-"Yes. What will happen to me? Look what I've made! Your favorite poori and chana masala." She said while serving the food in a plate and then gave it to me. I kept looking at food. "Why're you not eating?"

-"You'll not feed me?" I asked and she looked at me with teary eyes.

-"Of course. I will." She said and started feeding me while smiling. I noticed something and put down plate from her hand. I hold her hand but she immediately pulled back her hand.

"What're you doing Faisal? Eat food then you've to take medicine also, as you've fever."

-"Jaan! Give me your hand."

-"Faisal......"

-"Jaan. Give me your hand. It's an order." I hold her hand and looked at her wrist. "What is this scar?"

-"It's nothing. I just got hurt......"

-"Are you forgetting that you can't lie to me?" I said glaring at her.

-"That..... I...... It's..... It's..... I.... That......" She hesitated while looking down fidgeting her fingers. I cupped her face and made her look at myself.

-"Jaan. Who am I? Your husband right? And what we decided last night? That there will be no lie between us. Tell me Jaan."

-"I had cut my wrist with knife." She said looking down and I got confused hearing her.

-"I heard something wrong. Jaan....."

-"You heard right." She said and looked at me. "I.... I had cut my wrist with a knife."

-"Why?" I whispers.

-"Because when I got to know that you has left me, I wanted to come to you. I tried to commit suicide but........"

-"Jaan! Do you know what you're saying! You had cut veins of your wrist so as to commit suicide? How can you even think that?"

-"Because it was my mistake. I was the one who said mean words to you. And I was feeling guilty for not saying that I love you. And I wasn't able to live with that guilt I.... I wasn't able to live without you."

-"But I was the one at fault for hiding everything about our marriage and that photos."

-"I thought I lost you." She said and tears fell from her eyes.

-"Jaan." I hugged her and caressed her head. "You will never do such kind of thing again."

-"Hmm."

-"I love you Jaan."

-"Hmm." I looked at her.

-"Say back."

-"I love you too." She said while smiling. I wiped her tears and kissed her forehead. "You're very hot."

-"I know that I'm very hot and handsome." I said being proud. But she hit my chest and glared at me.

-"You dirty minded man! I'm saying that your body is very hot because of fever."

-"Oh! I understood." I said being embarrassed. She started laughing at me. Wait...... I'm being embarrassed? What the hell?

-"You're looking very cute with this look." She said while laughing.

-"Jaan! Don't make fun of me!"

-"Okay. I'll not. Now finish your food." She stopped laughing. Then we both ate our food and she gave me medicines.

Now she's washing dishes. I wanted to help her but she ordered me to sit and rest as I'm not well.

*Knock knock*

Someone is knocking on door. I got up from couch and opened the door. I found a young girl standing there.

-"Annyeonghasimnikka!" She greeted while bowing.

Hello. (Greeting for elders)

-"Annyeong. Agassi nuguseyo?" I asked.

Hello. Who are you Miss?

-"Dangsin-eun hangug-eoleul algo issseubnida?" She asked being shocked.

You know korean?

-"Ne." I answered and she smiled excitedly. Why I'm getting Zoya's vibes from her? (Ne means yes)

-"OMG! You're first American I've met who knows Korean. But how you know it?"

-"Well. I'm half Indian. And I knows many languages as I've to talk with people of various countries."

-"Wow. But what you does? I remember that I saw you somewhere on TV or magazine. Who are you?" She asked excitedly.

-"I'm a businessman. My name is Faisal Khan. What's your name?"

-"I'm Lia. I lives in neighborhood."

-"Are you Mrs. Jandy's daughter?"

-"Yes. And you're Zoya unnie's husband right?" (unnie is elder sis)

-"Yes."

-"Oh I forgot! Here are Zoya unnie's report." She said giving me a Brown envelope.

-"Which reports?"

-"I don't know. Eomma gave me these, she said that unnie forgot to take these back from her. And......." (eomma is mother)

-"Lia!" Zoya shouted from inside coming to us.

-"Hello Zoya unnie!"

-"Why're you standing outside?"

-"I was talking with Faisal hyung." She answered and then looked at me "I can call you hyung right?" She asked and I nodded. (hyung is elder brother)

-"Come inside." I said she came inside.

I went inside closing the door. I'm liked this child. I found her and Jaan in kitchen so I sat on couch in living room.

ZOYA'S POV

I'm feeling very anxious. I want to tell him everything before going back to Massachusetts but we're already at airport. Yes. We're here at airport and I'm sitting in private waiting area. Yes. Private waiting area where I can't even see anyone other than this bodyguard. Because how can I forget that my husband is a billionaire and he owns a private jet. I don't know what happened to him after Lia left, he just told me that we're leaving now. Mrs. Jandy was not even at home when we left. I didn't even met her before leaving. I can't understand what happens to this creepy being in seconds.

I glanced out of door and he's nowhere to be seen. Where he went? I can't even call him as I have his mobile phone. And this bodyguard of him is not letting me go anywhere. He's just looking around me like a wild dog is coming here in search of me. I am feeling hungry as now it's already lunch time.

-"Mr. Bodyguard?" I called him while getting up.

-"Yes Ma'am."

-"Can I go to buy something to eat or drink?"

-"But ma'am boss......"

-"But I'm hungry. Please." I requests.

-"Okay ma'am. Come with me." He said while smiling.

-"Thank you." Then we started walking to canteen. "What's your name?" I asked.

-"Ma'am my name is Andrew and I'm not just a bodyguard, I'm a hacker."

-"Wow! That's great Mr. Andrew. I think you're the one who tracked my location? Since how long you've been working with Faisal?"

-"Since three months." He said and we reached. I bought a strawberry shake and sandwich for myself and a mango shake for Faisal.

-"What you'll like to have Mr. Andrew?" I asked him and he looked at me confused. "I'm asking something Mr. Andrew."

-"Just a coffee." He said and I bought one coffee also. Then I drank my milkshake, ate sandwich and we started walking back.

-"What happened Mr. Andrew? Your face is looking like you've seen a ghost." I said jokingly.

-"Nothing ma'am. I was just thinking something. Because you're just the same as I heard from Zack. Now after meeting you I understood that why Zack and sis used to talk about you a lot."

-"Sis?" I asked.

-"Zack is my sister's husband."

-"Oh! How is......" I was going to ask about Zack's son but

-"Where were you? I told you to wait here until I comes right? Then why you went anywhere?" Faisal asked angrily.

-"I was hungry so....."

-"You could've waited for me. And you Andrew. I told you to......" He took two step towards him but I came in front of Faisal.

-"Faisal. Calm down. Don't overreact. I was not alone and......." He holds my hand and started walking to boarding area. I left his hand and he glared at me.

"What behavior is this Faisal? What's wrong with you? Why......"

-"Just come with me silently." He said and again started walking holding my hand tightly. I just followed him silently sensing his anger.

Now we're in sky already, the plane has take off. It will take us five hours to reach Massachusetts. He's sitting beside me using his big dabba. I found Andrew coming to us holding small bag. I know what's this.

-"What happened Andrew?" Faisal asked to him.

-"Sir this..." He said forwarding the bag.

-"What is this?"

-"Sir ma'am bought this for you." He gave it to Faisal and left.

He opened the bag and looked at mango milkshake. He started drinking it without speaking anything while using his mobile phone. I sighed and started looking out of window. These clouds are looking very pretty, I want to see sunset from up here. But it's only 2:30 right now. I've to wait more. I kept looking out and don't know when I felt asleep.

I opened my eyes and found myself in an unknown room, lying on bed being covered with blanket. I sat up on bed and looked around, I realised that we're still in air. So it's a room in jet. But I was sitting outside, it means he carried me here. I checked My phone, it's 6:40 now. I was asleep for more than three hours.

-"You woke up?" He said while entering in room.

-"Yeah. I just woke up right now."

-"We still have thirty minutes to reach home. You have my mobile phone right?" He asked.

-"Yes. It's in my jacket......" I said and looked for my jacket but realised that I'm in sweater only. "My jacket?" I asked him. He walked to a small table and there was my jacket.

-"Oh.. That is here." He lift the jacket and then I realised that I've kept my medicines in it. If he saw that then? I immediately got up from bed and walked to him.

-"Faisal your phone is......" I tripped and was going to fall but he held me.

-"Jaan. Be careful." He said and helped me to stand properly.

-"Sorry."

He checked in my jacket's pocket and found the tablet's packet. Crap!

-"What is this?" He asked looking at it. I immediately snatched it from him.

-"Nothing Faisal it's just medicines for suffocation. I feels suffocated while traveling long distance and especially in plane. So that's why." I lied. I hope that he'll not catch me this time.

-"I know you're lying. But it's fine if you don't want to tell me. It's not the only thing you're hiding." He muttered and left the room handing me my jacket.

I looked at jacket and found that he haven't even took his mobile and went away in anger. Why he said that it's not the only thing I'm hiding? What he is referring to? He knows what I'm hiding? No. He can't know because I told Jay to not tell him anything. And as much I knows Jay, he will never break his promise. Then what he's talking about?

I don't want any misunderstanding or any lie to come between us again. I will tell him everything myself. Whatever that'll be his decision after knowing, I will accept it. I will not hide anything from him. I will tell him everything.

I took out his mobile and went out of room after setting my hairs that were messy because of sleeping. I found him sitting on a seat while typing furiously in his laptop that it was looking like the keys will come out anytime. He's looking angry. Should I speak to him right now? I'm very scared of his anger but I've to tell him.

While collecting my strength I went to him. I was going to put my hand on his shoulder but the flight attendant came

-"Ma'am. Sir. Sorry to disturb you but you have to sit down while putting seatbelt because the weather is not good in Massachusetts."

-"Okay." He said and off his laptop. Then he looked at me "Didn't you heard what she said? Come and sit down." He said and I sat besides him and put seatbelt.

It didn't took more than ten minutes to change the whole view of outside. It's all dark outside and the voice of this fast wind is scaring me. I heard a lightening sound and my heart started throbbing in fear. I felt a hand over mine. I turned to him and he was looking at me worriedly

-"Jaan. Nothing will happen." He said and I held his hand. He put his hand around my shoulder and pulled me closer. I hugged him wrapping my hands around his waist.

After nearly twenty minutes we landed safely. And all thanks to God that we reached on time safely because just after our landing heavy rainfall started. Now we're in car going our home. Justin is driving the car and Andrew is also sitting with him. Me and Faisal are on back seat.

We reached our building and immediately Zack, Diego and Mark came to us holding umbrellas. If Mark and Diego are here then it means that they both will be here also. We got down the car and went inside the building. I found Rehan Bhai and Lucifer Bhai standing there. I didn't looked at them and directly went to elevator, they also came in and Faisal pressed the button to our floor. It's not easy for me to forget everything and behave like nothing happened.

The door opened at our floor and we went in penthouse.

-"We've cooked your favourite food Doll."

-"Fero. Rehan. You both go and arrange table, we're coming after getting fresh. Come Jaan." Faisal said to them.

He held my hand and walked upstairs. He took me to his room.

-"Jaan. Go and get fresh, and your clothes are also in wardrobe." He said and I went in bathroom. I found my clothes beside his clothes. These are the clothes that I left behind because it was bought by him. I get changed into a white sweater and black trousers. I went downstairs and found only Faisal there.

-"You came. Come let's have dinner." He said and made me sit on chair. He also sat beside me. "Fero and Rehan left because of weather." He told and served food. After dinner he was washing dishes and I was cleaning the table when he came

-"Jaan?"

-"Yes."

-"After doing your work, come and sleep in our room. I'm going to sleep as I'm really tired." He said and went upstairs. I also went upstairs after cleaning and checking all windows.

I opened the door of room and found it dark. I closed the door silently and went in. I found him sleeping on left side of bed. I sat on bed and looked at him. He is lying with his back towards my side. Why he's behaving coldly? Is it because of what he mentioned during flight. But what he was talking about? It's first time we're going to sleep together in his room. And he....

I thought that he will ask me that why I didn't talked to Rehan Bhai and Lucifer Bhai. Or at least he'll say comforting words to me so that I don't feel odd while sleeping in his room. It's not like that we haven't slept on same bed, but sharing a room while starting our relationship as real husband and wife is a totally different thing. But here he didn't even talked to me properly. His behavior is hurting me a lot. Tears escaped my eyes. I went in balcony and the view was this

It's raining heavily and it's very cold also. I shivered with cold and wrapped my arms around myself while crying. I'm feeling scared. Yesterday I was having hope that after he apologised and we confessed our love, everything will be fine. I thought that now we'll live happily but after coming here....... My all hopes are shattering.

I sobbed and cried putting my hand on my mouth so as to not make any noise. I had thought that I will not hide anything from him and will tell him everything about my operation and then his decision will lead to our future. But I don't know what happened, what he is thinking that he's behaving like this.

-"Jaan." I heard his voice from behind. I immediately wiped my tears. "What are you doing out in night? Look how cold it is and it's raining a lot too. Come inside."

He went inside and I went after him. It's good that it's pretty dark so he cannot see my face clearly. I closed the door and just as I turned I found him just in front of me

-"What happened Jaan?"

-"Nothing. I just went in balcony as I was not feeling sleepy." I said while trying to not sound like crying.

-"Jaan....." He moved his hand forward to touch my face but I moved to bed.

-"Faisal I'm feeling sleepy I'm......." He held my hand and pulled me back to himself. My hands are on his chest and he's holding my waist. "Faisal what're you doing? Leave me." I said trying to get out of his hold but he held me tighter.

-"You thinks that you can hide your tears from me?"

-"I'm not crying."

-"Really?" He said and touched my cheek "Then what is this?"

-"It can be rainwater. I was out in balcony......."

-"Why're you crying Jaan?"

-"I'm not." I said looking down.

-"Is it because of my behavior?" He asked and I stayed silent. "Jaan. Say something. And don't try to lie because we both knows that you can't lie to me. So tell me, are you crying because of me? Yes or no?" He asked sternly and I nodded looking down. He left me and moved away.

"When you can't tolerate my cold behaviour, then what was the need to hide everything from me?! Tell me!" He yelled.

-"You knows everything?" I asked being shocked.
