this morning i woke waaaaayy earlier than usual but if it was for my baby ill gladly do it, she stayed the night at eden and i apartment so that she'll wake up with me on our anniversary.

i decided to cook her some breakfast because she still had an early morning workout with the team for about 3 hours which gave me enough time to set everything up which was perfect.

"mama", paige called out rubbing her heavy eyes, "i wanted to wake up next to you not an empty cold bed", she whined and i give her an soft smile. "im sorry, i wanted to make you some breakfast", i explain.

she walks over towards me wrapping her arms around my lower body placing a kiss onto my neck, cheek and then my lips. "happy anniversary my love", she whispers as her lips hover over mines.

a big smile is plastered on my face because i was an ole happy lil girl around her, "happy anniversary babaaay", i squeal at her as i drop the spatula onto the counter grabbing her face into my hands mushing her in kisses.

she giggles as i pull away from her and focus back on the food, "it looks good", she tells me as she looks at the pancakes, eggs and sausage.

"but if you catching my drift... i want a sum like ya know", she adverts her eyes down and i side eye her. "baby... let's eat first", i tell her and she makes an stank face. "to fuel up", i say and she smirks, "okay let's eat then".

"girlfriends are a lot of work", eden whines as we pace around target to get some last minute items. i laugh slightly as i place the tru fru into the cart but for me because p and kk got me hooked.

i decided to have an nice little dinner at the apartment because i still wanted it to private but special when i give her the promise ring. "do you think ill make it to the promise ring stage soon?", eden asks flipping her hand from the front to the back.

i hum as i look at her, "i think so but you have to give it time e, kk loves you and adores you but you both are still new into the relationship and im not saying there's an time limit on a promise ring but you still have a lot to explore but yes... you will get that promise ring soon my cutie", i pinch her cheeks and she waves me off with a smile

"you think she loves me", she asks giddy and i laugh at her because she know damn well that energetic ass girl love her. "girl come scan this shit but not everything", i tell her as we make it to self-checkout.

we went back to the apartment, "do you need any help setting up?", eden asks me but i shake my head. "no but thank you, go with yo girlfriend", I wave her off and she smiles.

she leaves shortly and i sigh as i start to clean up the apartment because it was getting a little out of hand, after i clean I start to sit up the lil table in the living room and decorate with flowers and balloons. i wrap some the gifts i got her even though we agreed not to, i got her some anyway.

when i check my phone i see about 10 messages from her all of them being voice messages but they were short because she knew i had an short attention span.

"mama, sorry im going to running a little late I know i was suppose to come right after workouts but fucking Azzi gave me an list because she's sick and everybody else is gone... i should be there around 8, love you", she tells me and i smile because Azzi wasn't sick but she knew i needed some time to spare. i text her and quick okay and that i love her back before i get into the shower wanting to smell goodt for my baby.

everything was set up perfectly to my needs, as she knocks on the door the faint sound of old school plays and i quickly light up the last candle in a hurry.

i open the door and she smiles at me hiding her hands behind her back, "hi", i greet her with an big smile. "hi", she returns walking into the apartment.

"what's behind your back?", i ask and she hums as she slithers her hands towards the front of me holding an big box that was wrapped messily in wrapping papers making me laugh because at least she tried.

"baby don't laugh at my wrapping, i-that's shit hard you'll have to wrap our kids presents for christmas every year", she says so casual as she hands me the gift.

i look up at her with doe eyes, "you plan on having kids with me?", i ask and she nods. "it's my scenario every night before i go to sleep, just me, you and our little kids running around", she smiles.

i hum, "do you think about having kids with me?", she asks and i tilt my head an bit. "it's not my scenario before i go to sleep but definitely", i say as I place the gift onto the kitchen counter.

"open it", she tells me but i shake my head. "cmon i know we said no gifts but-", i place my finger onto her lip and grab her hand leading her to the living room.

she gasps slightly at the set up, "BRUH... you said that we were going to just chill... baby this isn't chill", she said and i giggle an bit. "i lied because i wanted to surprise you", I say wrapping my arms around her torso.

she looks down at me kissing me on my temple, "thank you, it's beautiful", she tells me as we walk towards the floor table and sit on pillows across from each other.

we sit down and talk with each other like we always do as we eat some takeout food because i was too lazy to whip something up and i couldn't even if i tried.

"stay right here p", i tell her as i stand up from the table and run to my room to grab the ring, i come back and stand in shock as i see an ring in front of the spot i sat at.

she smiles at me giggling, "don't me shocked, you knew it was coming", she says and i shake my head trying my best not to cry.

"ba-by", i stutter as i pull the ring behind my back and she gasps, "noooo waaaay", she says as she walks over towards me. "no way we thought the same thing", she says.

tears slap against my cheek, i had promised myself I wasn't going to cry but it was nice to know that we were both on the same page. "nooo don't cry baby", she says pulling me into an hug.

she grabs the ring off the table, "ill go first so i can you tell to rejuvenate but... sydney", she starts and im already boo hooing.

"i promise to cherish you, reassure you, care for you, protect you, brighten your days, make you laugh, to hold you, always be there for you... make lots of love to you but most importantly love you...", she says slipping the gold diamond ring onto my finger.

"holy... this is beautiful", i tell her examine the ring, it was simple but cute and the small diamond made it shine a little. she gives me and kiss and now it was my turn.

"okay... i had this whole speech planned out but that was thrown out the window the second I saw your ring... and im going to try my best not to cry but i also threw that out the window", i ramble and she smiles telling me to take all the time i need.

"I-at first I was scared to give you this ring because I was afraid that if I promised you all these things and break it that I'll eat me alive forever but... i thought about much ill regret not promising you all these things because god knows ill try my best to not break this promise but to only work towards these goals", i talk tears still dripping down my face.

"but i promise to love you, communicate with you, to care and take care of you, to adore you and be utterly obsessed with you, to reassure you when needed, be there for you through the good and bad times, to love you and love you and love you because you deserved to be loved just as much as i do...", i finish slipping the ring onto her finger.

it was an cute, plain, gold band because i knew she liked simple jewelry but in the inside i had engraved i love you- syd because i knew i needed at least an statement piece.

she looks at the ring, "you know my well", she says and i smirk at her as i pull her in by her cheeks giving her an long kiss. her breath hitches as she places her hand onto my butt rubbing soft circles onto her as her other hands squeezing my hips.

i pull away from the kiss and lean down leaning her head to the side to get easy access to her neck, i kiss her neck sucking it softly making sure to leave an mark.

she moans, "mama", she whispers her voiced laced with lust as she pulls me away from her slightly to make our eyes meet with one another.

"let me make love to you... lots of love", she teased as she recites her promise. i smile at her and let out an okay, she smiles grabbing the back of my thighs and picking me up with ease as i wrap my legs around her waist and arms around her neck.
