Chapter 209
Sir Your Wife Already Signed the Divorce Paper
Chapter 209 Popular Among All
âOkay,â Troy answered.
Grace nodded and kept looking around, being very curious about New York City.
After leaving the terminal, Grace wriggled. âLet me down, Uncle Troy. I can walk on my own.â âDonât need me? Didnât you like me to hug you before?â
Grace shook her head in earnest and replied, âMy coat is too thick, itâs uncomfortable for you.â Troy put her on the ground, took off the schoolbag, and stretched out his hand. âIâll carry your schoolbag.â
Grace passed the schoolbag to Troy, held one of his fingers, and walked forward happily.
When got to the car, Troy opened the rear door, settled Grace down, and closed the door, then he walked to the other side and sat in.
Seeing someone sitting in the driverâs seat, Grace greeted with a warm smile, âHello, uncle.â âHi, Miss Grace,â the driver replied with a smile and turned his head.
âLetâs go,â Troy closed the car door.
The driver started the car and joked, âMr. Marshall, what a coincidence, I think Miss Grace takes after you. If you didnât tell it, others will think of Miss Grace as your daughter!â
Troy looked at Grace, who was looking around with her short legs dangling.
Looking carefully at Graceâs face, her eyebrows and eyes are indeed somewhat similar to his. And when Troy took a few more glances, he even found Grace somewhat took after Imogen. Troy couldnât help chuckling.
He was really in a trance.
Aunt Emily once said that she adopted Grace from the orphanage.
How Tory hoped that Grace was his daughter, the daughter of Imogen and Troy.
Then, for the sake of the child, she might soften her heart a little, and maybe she wouldnât get a divorceâ¦
Grace was very curious about New York City. She lay by the edge of the window, staring at the street through the window, and would ask about any new things she saw.
âWow, thereâs a frogman!â Grace pointed at somewhere nearby and exclaimed.
Troy looked oyer, seeing there was someone wearing a frog costume next to a square, selling frog
balloons.
âThatâs a frog costume,â
âWhy did he dress up like that?â Grace kept lying beside the window and staring at the frog
costume.
âBecause he wants to attract people and sell the frog balloons in his hand.â
Grace nodded clearly and looked elsewhere.
âGrace, we are heading to Marshall villa now, letâs visit your greatâgrandmother, Layla Marshall
first.â
âOkay!â Grace nodded emphatically.
âArenât you curious about Greatâgrandmother?â
âI know her!â Grace turned her head and said with a smile, âMrs Layla Marshall is Grandma Emilyâs mother.â
Looking at her expression, Troy suddenly thought of Mochi, just as cute as her.
When he learned that Imogen was pregnant, he had imagined that they would have a daughter as lovely as Grace.
But that was just fantasy after all.
Imogen would never forgive him.
He would have no more children.
He deserved it.
âUncle Troy?â Grace stretched out her chubby hand and shook it in front of Troy, âWhy are you silent?â
Troy came back to his senses and smiled faintly, âSorry, I was thinking about something.â âUncle Troy, I brought a gift for Greatâgrandma!â Grace hugged her little schoolbag tightly. âGrace is really sweet.â
Grace couldnât wait to open her small schoolbag and took out a transparent box. It was a cartoon Pikachu, with a ring on it. It should be a key chain, âLook, Uncle Troy, this present is for you.â
âThank you, Grace. Itâs very cute.â
Troy took over the box and opened it, then took the car key from the storage box between the two front seats, hanging the Pikachu on it. âLook good?â
Grace nodded heavily, âIt looks good!â
âBy the way, do you live together with greatâgrandma, Uncle Troy?â Grace asked with her small face raised.
Troy shook his head, âWe donât live together. Greatâgrandma used to live with Greatâgrandpa. Not long ago, Greatâgrandpa passed away.â
âI heard about it from Grandma Emily. She cried and I comforted her.â
âGrace did a good job,â Troy praised.
Henry passed away suddenly, leaving not even a last goodbye to him.
Since Emily had missed the last goodbye with Henry, she didnât come back for the funeral. And
may not come back till Christmas.
she
âThen Uncle Leo must live together with Aunt Agnes!â Grace looked at Troy and giggled.
Troyâs stiffened. âGrace, now they donât live together.â
âWhy? Husband and wife have to live together, just like Greatâgrandma and Greatâgrandpa,â Graceâs big eyes were full of doubts.
âBecause Uncle Leo and Aunt Agnes divorced, do you know what divorce means, Grace? It means that Uncle Leo and Aunt Agnes are no longer husband and wife.â
A dazed expression appeared on Graceâs face, âAunt Agnes is so beautiful, why did Uncle Leo divorce her? Is Uncle Leo going to marry another aunt?â
Grace referred to Sarah, she knew Sarah.
9
âNo, Uncle Leo didnât want to marry anyone else. He didnât want to divorce Aunt Agnes, but Agnes
wanted to divorce him,â
âReally?â The little girl curled her lips with disbelief, âI donât believe. Handsome men are always fickle,â
Troy was speechless.
âI am telling the truth.â
The little girl raised her eyelids and looked at Troy a few times, âDonât trick me. I know everything. Grandma likes Aunt Sarah, not Aunt Agnes. And she said that you like another aunt.â Uh⦠how to explain it?
âGrace, your grandma mistook it. I like Imogen. I wonât lie to you.â
Grace looked at him suspiciously. Well, Uncle Troy wouldnât lie to her.
She thought for a while, âOh, I see, itâs because Aunt Imogen doesnât like Uncle Troy!â
The little girl sighed like a grownâup, with a sad face, âWhat a pity.â
âDo you like Aunt Imogen, Grace?â
âFor sure!â Grace nodded heavily, âAunt Imogen is so beautiful, sheâs a perfect wife!â
Grace had met Imogen only once, but she liked Imogen very much.
Itâs a special feeling. Anyway, she felt that Imogen was very kind and gentle, and respected her. Imogen didnât treat her like a child like others.
Troy was speechless.
âImogen is so popular, attracting all men and women. Even Grace likes her,â Troy thought.
âWhat about visiting Aunt Imogen together tomorrow?â
âAlright.â
âGrace, can you do me a favor?â Troy coaxed, âOnly Grace can help me.â
âUncle Troy, just go ahead.â
Troy lowered his head and whispered to Grace.
Grace smiled, with her eyes squinted like a crescent moon, âUncle Troy, you are so smart.â âSo, will you help me, Grace?â
âOf course, but how do you thank me in return?â The little girl smiled shrewdly.
What a smart kid, asking for the honorarium.
âHow about a donut every day?â
âDeal.â
The car stopped at the gate of Marshall villa.
Troy carried Grace out of the car and walked into Marshall villa together, with the small schoolbag in her hands.
âWow, Greatâgrandma lives in such a big villa,â Grace was amazed as she walked forward.
As Grace entered the living room, Daisy saw her and said in surprise, âThis must be Miss Grace! So fair and fresh, so cute!â
On hearing the praise, Grace said happily, âNice to meet you, Granny.â
âWhat a polite child,â Daisy replied.

âGrace, come here,â said Layla.
Layla was fond of Grace at the first glance and invited Grace to come over with a will.
Grace looked over and said as he walked, âYou are Great grandma, right? Nice to meet you. Greatâgrandma. My name is Grace.â
