Chapter 211
Sir Your Wife Already Signed the Divorce Paper
Chapter 211 Two Hundred and Eleven My Baby
âGrace.â Imogen leaned down with a smile, hugged her, and pinched the little girlâs red face affectionately, âWhy did you come to New York City?â
Grace kissed Imogenâs face and raised her face, âIâm on vacation. Grandma is busy, so she canât take care of me.â
She handed the transparent box to Imogen, âAuntie, this is a gift for
you.â
The little girlâs round eyes looked like Mochiâs eyes under the table. Imogen felt warm when she saw it, âThanks for Graceâs gift. Letâs go up to play with me?â
She didnât know why she always had an inexplicable intimacy feeling with Grace.
She thought, âIf her child can be born, will it be as cute as Grace?â
Grace nodded heavily, âYes!â
âLetâs Go! Go up and play with Auntie.â
Imogen took Graceâs hand and walked into the apartment.
Seeing that a man as an adult was completely ignored, Troy touched his nose and silently followed behind.
Imogen stopped suddenly after taking two steps and turned to look at Troy.
Troy stopped in his tracks, with slightly embarrassed.
âYou donât have to follow.â Imogen said to Troy calmly.
Troy was speechless.
Imogen lowered her head again and said to Grace, âGrace, how about playing with Auntie all day today?â
Grace glanced at Troy, and touched her two index fingers against each other, âCanât we play with Uncle? Grace wants to play with Uncle and Aunt.â
Troy looked up at Imogen, with some anticipation, âImogenâ¦â
Imogen down and explained to Grace, âGrace, Aunt and Uncle have divorced. Uncle will have his own family in the future. He canât with me, or your new aunt will be unhappy.â
Just as Troy was about to explain something, Imogen immediately glared at him.
But Grace said, âUncle, will I have a new aunt? Didnât you say that aunt is your sweetheart, and you only love her? So you lied to me! Hmph! I donât want to play with you!â
Imogen was speechless.
But her ears inexplicably turned to red.
âWho is his sweetheart? What are they all about?! Whatâs wrong with Troy? What nonsense to say in front of the children?!â She thought
Troy was also slightly shocked, he didnât know Grace to say that.
He wondered, âThis girl is a bit too smart.â
His
eyes swept over Imogenâs red earlobe, and he coaxed Grace, âGrace, I didnât lie to you. How could I lie to you?â
âIs that Aunt your sweetheart?â The little girl turned her eyes to Imogen and Troyâs faces, with a sly expression on her face.
Troy looked at Imogen and was about to open his mouth. Imogen was nervous, pinched his waist hard, and stared at him fiercely.
She thought, âDonât talk nonsense in front of Grace!â
âAuntie, why did you pinch Uncle?â Grace caught Imogenâs movements.
âWellâ¦â
She got caught by Grace.
Imogen lied, âWhat? How could Aunt pinch your uncle? There is a bug on your uncleâs clothes, and I pinched it off for him.â
After saying this, she gave Troy a wink.
Troy coughed a little, pursed his lower lip, and said, âGrace, Uncle is busy today, so let Auntie take care of you. Okay? Uncle will pick you up at night and bring you donuts.â
He thought, âDonât be in a hurry.â He didnât want to push too hard. âAnyway, Grace will stay in New York City for a while.â
Grace got Troyâs meaning and reluctantly responded, âOkay.â
Troy looked up at Imogen, âIâll leave Grace to you first. And Iâll pick her up at night.â
âWell, hurry up.â Imogen said.
Trøy was speechless.
Troy looked at Imogen and left.
âLetâs go.â Imogen took Graceâs little hand into the apartment.
âAuntie, Uncle said you have a kitten at home? I like kittens too!â
âAuntie has a kitten at home, but now the kitten gets moss, and humans can be affected. Grace, you are still too young. If you touch the kitten, you may be infected with cat moss.â
âWhat is cat moss?â The little girl asked doubtfully, showing disappointment.
âItâs a skin disease.â
Imogen turned on the phone, searched for cat moss pictures on the browser, and showed it to Grace, âThis is cat moss.â
Imogen was an adult with strong immunity, so she may not be infected. But Grace was too young. Imogen dared not take her risk.
Although cat moss was a selfâhealing disease, Grace was not her child.
In the case of cat moss, Emily would probably find her to settle the score.
The little girl glanced at the cat moss picture, and said in disgust, âItâs so ugly, will it be cured?â
âIt will be cured, but the place where the moss grows will be a little itchy.â
Grace rolled her eyes, bit her finger, with a tangled expression on her face, âI still want to play with the cat, what should I do?â
Imogen smiled, âYou can play with the cat. Take a bath and disinfect after playing. It may not be affected.â
She thought, âMaybe Grace is strong, so she wonât be infected with cat moss at all, Graceâs eyes lit up, âYes!â
Imogen led her into the elevator and pressed the floor.
â
The apartment was close to the top floor, and its location was very high.
The chatty little girl said, âWow, my aunt lives so high up!â
Imogen thought for a while, and reminded, âGrace, your uncle and I have divorced. So donât call me Aunt at all. You call me Imogen.â
Grace blinked her big eyes, âImogen?â
âOkay.â
âThen will you get married to another man in the future?â The little girl asked with her head tilted.
Imogen was speechless.
She thought, âThis girl is a bit precocious.â
âHmm⦠not sure about this.â Imogen said.
âImogen, why donât you like my uncle? Uncle is handsome, goodâlooking, and richâ¦â
Grace whispered, and the elevator door opened.
Imogen led her out of the elevator, and went straight into the door, âGrace, whether you like someone or not, doesnât just care about these. There are many handsome, goodâlooking, and rich people. I canât like everyone.â
There were workers at home who were renovating the study room, and she didnât lock the door when she came out.
She bent down and looked at the little girl seriously, âGrace. After growing up, you need to know that appearance and wealth are not the key factors to love someone. A personâs character and inner nature are essential.â
Grace nodded. âYou donât like Uncle, why did
you marry him?â
âWell. Things are a bit complicated, aunt⦠I canât explain clearly.â Imogen was afraid that the little girl would continue to ask. She quickly changed the subject, âArenât you going to play with the cat? Iâll call her out for you.â
âOkay.â Grace nodded, looked around, saw some workers busy, and asked curiously, âAuntie, what are they doing?â
âThey are renovating the house, the living room is too noisy. The cat is in my room. Come with
me.â
Imogen led Grace into her room.
With Imogen around, Mochi wasnât scared, but she didnât want Grace to touch her. The cat ran away as soon as Grace touched it.
Imogen saw that Grace was a little bit disappointed, and comforted her, âItâs the first time for you to touch the cat. She thinks you are strange. It will be fine when you come here a few more times in the future.â
Grace nodded earnestly. âIâll come to see Mochi tomorrow.â
The two played with the cat for a while in the room.
Imogen suggested, âGrace, this is your first time in New York City, you havenât walked around the city yet,
have you? How about I take you out for a drive? I just got a new camera yesterday.â
