Catching the sadness in Troy’s eyes, Imogen pressed her lips and clenched her fists.

In her mind, she was just telling the truth.

“Yes! Troy, by doing this, you not only insult the relationship between you and Sarah but also look down on me. Do you think I will be fooled by you? That’s impossible! No matter what you want to get from me, I advise you to stop!” Imogen said coldly.

Troy chuckled. “I asked you to look at me. Why don’t you dare?”

“It’s not that I don’t dare, but I just don’t want to get involved with you anymore…”

“Imogen, you don’t dare. You are afraid,” Troy said firmly.

Imogen raised her eyes and looked at Troy.

Their eyes met. Imogen’s hanging fists clenched, and she resisted the urge to look away. “And then? What do you want to say?”

She tried her best to observe his expression, trying to find signs of lying on his face.

Troy’s eyes were sincere as if what he said was true.

But Imogen knew that Troy was the best at lying…

gave Sarah resources again and attended the party with her. Now, he wanted Imogen to forget about those with just those words, which was ridiculous in Imogen’s view.

Troy lowered his head to catch the mockery in her eyes. He held her wrist tightly and said, “What do you want me to do? I can prove it to you. If you don’t believe me, it must be because I haven’t done enough.”
