Chapter 57
Sir Your Wife Already Signed the Divorce Paper
Chapter 57 Not Out Here
Imogenâs heart fluttered as soft, warm lips pressed against hers.
Troyâs mouth sucked at her lips, leaving them reddened and abused.
His tongue forced its way through her teeth, seeking the sweetness in her mouth.
Imogenâs hands found their way to his shoulders, her fingers caressing the neat stubble on the back of his neck as she eagerly responded to his kiss.
Their breaths mingled together.
Heavy pants filled the enclosed space of the car.
Troyâs breath was hot. His hand couldnât help but slide down along her curves.
Imogen snapped back to reality and raised her hand to stop him, her voice muffled. âNo, not outside.â
Reluctantly, Troy stopped his actions, sucking on Imogenâs lips again before pulling away slowly. A thin, glistening thread of saliva broke between them, falling onto their collars, adding to the intimate atmosphere in the small car.
Troy took a deep breath, quickly started the car, and gripped the steering wheel with his slender fingers.
Halfway through the ride, Imogen looked out the window at the street scene and realized they were not headed to the hospital.
âArenât we going back to the hospital?â
Troy turned to Imogen with a faint smile. âWeâre going home tonight. Weâll go to the hospital tomorrow morning.â
âOkay.â
The car drove into Galaxy Villa and stopped in the yard.
Troy unbuckled his seatbelt, loosened his collar, and leaned eagerly toward Imogen, holding her lips and licking, nibbling, tongues entwining, saliva mixing, their breaths entwining.
He reached over to unbuckle Imogenâs seatbelt, pulling her onto his lap, one hand against her head while the other ventured beneath her skirt.
âUm⦠Uhâ¦â
pressing
With closed eyes, Imogen held tightly to his shirt collar, cheeks burning, breath heavy, gasping for
air.
Troyâs scorching kisses trailed from her earlobes down across her neck and collarbones, tearing open her collar.
The heat made her body tremble.
In the midst of their passionate embrace, a knock on the car window startled them. âMr. Marshall, why arenât you coming in?â
It was Sueâs voice.
Imogen and Troy snapped back to reality and looked at each other.
Troy responded with a hoarse voice, âI will soon.â
He helped Imogen straighten her clothes, his eyes still blazing. âTo the room?â

âUhâhuh.â
Blushing, Imogen nodded.
Without a word, they both got out of the car.
Sue was surprised. âMrs. Marshall is back too?â
âYes.â
Sue was puzzled as they entered the living room one after the other. Why had they both emerged from the driverâs side?
They both entered the room.
Troy, unable to wait any longer, pressed Imogen against the door, lowering his head to kiss her, his tongue dancing passionately inside her mouth, dominating her own.
Enveloped by his masculine scent, Imogenâs face turned crimson, her hands on Troyâs shoulders, her body burning, eyes closed as she responded to his kisses.
Troy pressed against Imogenâs body, quickly removing her clothes and carrying her to the bed.
With one leg over the bed, he straddled Imogenâs thighs on both knees, swiftly shedding his suit jacket onto the floor, ripping off his tie, and leaning down.
His lips landed on her earlobe, which turned red from his sucking, gleaming wetly.
His kisses moved down her neck, to her collarbone, her chestâ¦
He lifted Imogenâs upper body, reached behind her, unhooked her bra, and tossed it to the floor before bending down to kiss her again.
âUh⦠Be gentleâ¦â
Imogen closed her eyes, feeling as if her mind was adrift in a boundless sea.
She was trembling, unable to help herself, arching her back, her hands buried in Troyâs hair.
The room was filled with an air of intimacy.
Clothes were tossed haphazardly on the floor.
There were the sounds of a manâs and a womanâs intermingled breaths everywhere.
Troy
took Imogenâs hand and placed it on his belt, asking in a low voice, âUnbuckle it for me.â
âOkayâ¦â
Imogenâs mind went blank, and she could only follow her instincts to unbuckle his belt.
Suddenly, a cell phone ring broke the silence.
Imogen pushed Troy away from her. âYour phoneâ¦â
With a hoarse voice, Troy replied, âDonât worry about it. Letâs continue.â
The phone rang for a while before stopping.
But two seconds later, it rang again.
Troy frowned, rolled off Imogen, picked up his suit jacket from the floor, took out the phone inside, glanced at the screen, and answered the call, âHello, Ms. Willy?â
He listened intently to the person on the other end.
Troyâs face grew serious. âAlright, I understand. Iâll be right there.â
He quickly put his clothes back on, grabbed his coat, and told Imogen, âI have to go.â
Chapter 57 Not Out Here
âWhatâs going on?â Imogen covered herself with the blanket and propped herself up halfway. âDo you have to leave right now?â
Troy paused while straightening his clothes.
âMs. Willy? Is it about Sarah? Does she need you right now?â
The passion in Imogenâs eyes faded when she saw Troy remain silent, and she felt disappointed.
âSarahâs missing.â
âThen call the police. Or send someone to look for her. What use is it for you to go?â
Or was Sarah waiting for him to find her?
âSarahâs situation is unstable. Itâs very dangerous for her to be alone. I have to go and find out what
happened and hopefully find her first. I promise you, once I find her, Iâll come back.â
Looking at Troyâs determined expression, Imogen felt a sharp pain in her heart.
A worrying mess.
This was probably the excuse Sarah used to call Troy. Imogen could see it clearly, but Troy
couldnât..
In his eyes, Sarah couldnât suffer the slightest harm.
He wouldnât come back.
She knew in her heart that he wouldnât return once Troy left.
âBut I donât want you to go. Please donât leave,â Imogen said, biting her lip and gathering her courage.
âImogen, donât be unreasonable.â
âDid you forget what you promised Grandpa? Or did you just want to make Grandpa happy?â
Troy had Sarah on his mind, and whenever something happened to her, he would rush to her side. So, what was the point of his promise to be with Imogen?
What was the point of Imogen having a husband whom another woman could take away at any time?
âI only promised Grandpa that Iâd get along with you. I didnât make any commitments. And this is a lifeâorâdeath situation. Canât you show some empathy?â
Troy sounded serious, showing impatience. He turned around and left with long strides.
The door slammed shut with a bang.
Imogen collapsed onto the bed.
So cold.
The temperature seemed to have dropped in recent days. Even under the blanket, she still felt cold, shivering uncontrollably, and buried her head in the blanket.
He said, âImogen, donât be unreasonable.â
He said, âI promised Grandpa Iâd get along with you. I didnât make any commitments.â
He asked, âCanât you show some empathy?â
Each word was like a sharp sword, stabbing into Imogenâs heart, leaving her bleeding inside. She had gathered all her courage only to be rewarded with such words.
She had been too hopeful.
Chapter 57 Not Out Here
The recent harmony had made Imogen let down her guard. She had almost forgotten about Sarah, the chasm between her and Troy.
Imogen and Troyâs life would never be peaceful as long as Sarah was there, even if they didnât divorce.
Imogen curled up on the bed, feeling cold in her heart.
She lay there, tossing and turning, listening to the clockâs ticking, unable to fall asleep.
When she finally did, she woke up to find herself alone.
The bed beside her was neatly made, showing no one had been there.
Imogen looked up at the clock on the wall. It was already past nine.
She got ready and went downstairs.
âMrs. Marshall, youâre up. Iâll prepare breakfast for you.â
âHas Troy come back?â Imogen asked in a low voice.
âNo, Mr. Marshall hasnât returned,â Sue sighed and shook her head.
âOkay.â
Imogen sat down on the sofa, feeling heavy inside. She glanced at her phone screen. There were no messages.
After breakfast, near ten oâclock, Imogen had the driver take her to the hospital.
The driver stopped the car outside the hospital building, Imogen noticed a familiar license plate when she got out and headed inside.
She thought she had seen it wrong but looked again and confirmed she hadnât.
It was Troyâs car.
Hadnât he gone to find Sarah? Why was he at the hospital?
Imogen went upstairs and heard a familiar voice before entering the room. âGrandpa, Grandma, I remember when we met last time, Grandpa asked if I liked crab. So many years have passed, but Grandpa, youâre a good person and will surely get better.â
It was Sarahâs voice.
Imogen felt like she had fallen into an ice cellar, frozen and unable to move.
