Everyone's Nervous

Two years. Two more years until Forrest comes of age in finding his mate. What should he do? He can hardly wait! He wasn't excited, per se, but very veerry anxious. The thought really scared him. A mate? For him? Someone you'll spend the rest of your life with? Forrest couldn't imagine such a thing. In all his 15 years of life, nothing could've prepared him from this sudden realization. He's always been alone, isolated, kept in place. The only thing he's done for himself was escape from his former pack to Night Sky. The freedom his Alpha gave him was enough stress to handle, now he's got to deal with this mating bonding thing?!

Forrest gave a sigh. The young teen currently laid on his blue bed, completely surrounded by blue. The light from the window was neither too bright nor too soft. His desk was cluttered in a messy fashion rather than a neat one. Not only was his desk messy, but his entire room. The floors were littered with crumpled paper, the corner had an ever growing pile of laundry forming, and his bed wasn't made, but had the blanket hanging onto the side, and the bed sheets losing their grip on the mattress. For a young man, such as himself, this was the messiest this room has ever been.

Knock Knock.

Forrest didn't notice.

Creeeaaak.

Lavender slowly opened the door, "Forrest?".

Still, Forrest was too deep in his worries.

Lavender sighed and looked around. The desk was so dreadfully untidy that you couldn't even see the fish bowl! She sighed once again, walking into the room to try to find the fish food container. Who knows how long they've gone without food.

"I fed them just a while ago."

Lavender snapped Her head to face Forrest. "Just makin' sure...", She sighed, putting the container on the desk. She stood there waiting for him to speak again, but seeing him stare back into nothingness had our Alpha sighing once more. She walked towards him, sitting on his unmade bed.

"Overwhelming, I know.", She said in a low voice, yet even so, those words penetrated through Forrest's train of thought, making him look at Her.

"Very.", he let out in a scared sigh.

Her eyes softened at the young pup, "Oh man, I came here afraid that you were overthinking things again. Care to share your thoughts?".

Forrest looked away, debating the idea, then gave in.

"I'm scared.", he grumbled.

"Why?"

"I'm always alone. Just one day having a person right there that's going to spend their whole life with me, and we'll love each other so much? Such commitment and...and suddenness! I...just don't know...what to feel about that...".

Lavender frowned, "Well, they're not going to come right away, so you'll have time to prepare.".

"I'll be as ready as I am now, by the time I'm 17...", he replied in certainty.

She sighed. After a moment's pause She softly said, "You're so...reserved...that I thought you'd be more excited about this."

"I am, but..."

Lavender smiled, taking Forrest by surprise, "It's alright,", She reassured the young wolf, "All werewolves have been through what you're going through. "

He sat up, "Really?"

She chuckled, "Yes."

Slowly after that, into the future, Forrest became less anxious and more excited. For as he thought about it, someone who loves and is forever loyal to him, is just the someone he needed. However, as the years stretched a bit longer than expected, Forrest began to become anxious, once more, and eventually fell into depression, feeling lonelier than he had ever felt before.

Forrest

"Alright, ", Light Claw's Alpha said, "I will return after informing the rest of my pack on what must be done.".

And with that, He shifted and ran back to His pack. Our Alpha went over to the rest of our pack to begin Her speech of today's matters, reassuring them. It was the first time a pure-blooded pack was a guest to our mixed-blooded one. We were uncomfortable with the thought of allowing them into the heart of our camp. What if a wolf lashed out?

"Hey, Forrest!", I turned my head to my nervous mate, "C'mon, I need to practice!".

Light Claw's Alpha said He would have a special group for Axel to stick and study with. Axel would demonstrate the making of the Glam Glam Goop, and they'd take notes, make suggestions, question and challenge Axel's thinking to both better expand Axel's knowledge on alchemy as well as have His wolves think more eccentric like Axel.

~•~In the Healing Cabins~•~

"U-umm, t-the Glam Gam- I mean Glam-!", Axel stuttered until I interrupted, "You're stuttering again.".

He inhaled and held his breath until he couldn't anymore, and exhaled with defeated, wide eyes. Goodness, he's so drained over this.

I stood up and opened my arms for him to run to, which he did, and he hugged me tight. I awkwardly rubbed soothing circles, since I didn't know what to say. I mean, even I'm not good with crowds, even if said crowd was made up of only 3 people.

"Forrest,", he whined, "I'm screeeeewed...".

My mind was racing in a panic as to what to say to him. Here he is, hugging me for comfort, and most likely expecting some great advice. As the seconds pass, hearing him breath, I panicked and forced myself to speak.

"M-maybe they'll be nice?"

He pulled back, giving me that pouty, puppy look, "What do you mean?".

I looked up in front of me, thinking of something to say, "Uhh, maybe you'll become friends with them!", I finished proud of myself.

I looked down at my mate who had that look of unexpected wonder, "Huh.", he exhaled.

"Huh...?", I repeated.

"That's...actually a very positive thought."

I became defensive, "W-what's that supposed to mean?!".

He sheepishly grinned and looked sideways, "I don't know, it's just that...usually when it comes to people you think more...less positively...?"

I furrowed my eyes in confusion, "Like when?"

He gave that 'really' look, "At the store, when a lady asked for recommendations for pet salons, you told her a brush from the store was just as good."

I acted like I didn't know what he was talking about, "Well, I didn't know any dog salons."

He smiled and crossed his arms, "How about that time when a dog ran from her owner, and you picked her up. Then the very attractive lady shows up, thanks you for catching her dog, and all you could do was stare, not even saying welcome."

I felt my body heat up, "H-hey! I was worried about what you'd think!"

He scoffed with that adorable smile, "We both know you're the jealous one out of the two of us."

I bit my lip at that, "Well, it would be nice if you got jealous too...", I muttered under my breath. However, his training showed as his eyes widened at what he heard.

"I do get jealous!", he uncrossed his arms.

It was my turn to cross my arms with a smirk, "When?".

"U-uh, like that one time,", he began to think real hard, "Oh! Like that one time how Mr. Owner praised you at my job! Yeah,", the gears continued to turn, "And all the dogs only listen to you, now too! Plus you get extra tips, especially from the people who fancy you...", he continued on, reading out the whole mental list.

"What can I say,", I shrugged my shoulders once he finished, "I'm irresistible."

The way his face turned red, eyes widened, mouth open to retort, I couldn't help but smile with a fluffy feeling invading my body.

"What are you saying?!", I just hugged him, laughing at his adorableness.

He didn't struggle, but I knew he was pouting. My smile grew wider. I really do love him.

"Love you.", I said, hugging him tighter.

He giggled, "Heheh, love you too.".

Right then, we heard low growls coming from outside, and we knew why. Axel clung to me tighter, "Forrest!", he whined, "Shit shit shit! What now?!". I couldn't stand seeing him like this anymore.

"Axel,", I raised his chin to look up at me, "It's going to be alright".

He made a defeated sound at the back of his throat with that pouty look, "Alright.", he groaned. The door of the Healing Cabin opened and footsteps approached the lab. Axel released his hold on me, straightening his shirt to look presentable. The knob of the lab turned, Axel took in a deep breath.

Creeeaaak

Light Claw's Alpha held the door open, allowing a group of 4 of His wolves. Each had a backpack and held a clipboard in their hands.

"This will be your personal group to help you enhance your knowledge in our alchemy. In return, you'll be helping them as well."

Axel gulped before nodding and stuttering out a 'yes'.

The Alpha just stared at Axel with intimidating eyes and with a 'Hmph', he left the lab.

Axel stared at the 4 wolves opposite of us.

"H-hi.", Axel nervously waved.

Alright, alright, look I'm sorry for the late chapter, I seriously have no excuse other than stress. I was gonna do a valentine special but the holiday snuck up on me real fast. The days seem real short now, and the list of things to do just seem to pile on. I really should have a proper and neat schedule, but my schedule always changes :/

Happy Belated Valentines Day!!! Yesterday was the reeeeaaaal holiday cuz I mean, the chocolates are discounted like CRAAZYYY!!!! Which is why I love valentines *dreamy sigh*....Also, I hope y'all had a great day/night so far! I know I should be devoting myself more to this story like y'all do, cuz I mean it's not just about me and the story, but the fans too :,) I've been getting some great feedback, both negative and positive and I'm really thankful for them. I also wanna thank y'all fer the votes and COMMENTS!! You have no idea how much I love the comments. I mean I focus on the comments more than I do the votes, cuz I really want some feedback like how did I do, was it funny? Did the emotions get to you? Any feels? That kinda stuff.

Anywho fer my Valentine's Day, I was an absolute single pringle but that's alright cuz I'm completely satisfied with my potato flavored self~ and it's not about romance, it's about LOVE!!! And like Mixen said: Love is many things! Not just romance! You werewolves...*goes into another tangent*...

Anywho, thank you all fer the support :D it really does mean a lot to me! I've been thinking about my career path lately and what I should be and kind of decided I didn't have to be just one thing! So Ima strive to be as many as I want, cuz at my deathbed I don't wanna think of all the shit I never did.
