Day off
Finally (BL)
Axel
My eyes fluttered open as I realize Forrest's scent is really strong. As soon as my vision cleared, I was staring at a blue wall.
Wait, what?
I was laying on my side, comfortably, but I need to get up. I sit up on the most comfiest bed and resist the urge to lay back down. I stretch, rub my eyes, yawn, all that morning stuff before observing my surroundings.
Blue. Everywhere. It's like a smurf slaughtering in here.
I look around the room. To my right, a dark brown desk faced an enormous window that's probably 4'5" or something, and all it revealed were thousands of trees slowly going downhill.
On the desk were various blue containers, each held only one type of item: paint brushes, mechanical pencils, special drawing pencils maybe (?), erasers, pens, colored pencils, different kinds of color pencils (?), fancy markers, and the last container held fancy capped pens. Beside the pile laid 3 dark blue, hardcover books. Sketching books, maybe?
Wow, though there were many items on the desk it wasn't cluttered at all. It was like everything was positioned for a picture or something.
I looked to my left and 3 bookshelves stood there. The tallest nearly reached the ceiling, and it was nearly filled with books. The shorter one next to it was half way filled with the same dark blue, hardcover books on the table, only these ones had fancy silver writing on the spine that I was too far away to read. The shortest, next to that, was actually only a shelf on the top half and 4 drawers on the other. The shelves held personal hygiene stuff, again, all neatly organized.
I squinted my eyes in confusion. Is this Forrest's room?
His overwhelming scent and the new surroundings was too much in the morning. I flop down on the heavenly bed, taking a deep breath. His scent was so strong and comforting and though I love it, it made me miss Forrest a lot. I close my eyes to remember anything that might help me figure out how I ended up here.
Mkay.....training training training....Alpha meeting......Forrest.....training....oh my-
I sit up in a panic.
I HAD A BREAKDOWN!! And he was THERE!! And and and....ARGH!!
I burry my face in the fluffy covers, embarrassed. Then sudden realization hit.
Oh wait...that's right, he carried me here then....
I began calming down, remembering the details before that either.
He was worried about me the whole time. I guess he was being positive to keep me going.
I smiled at the thought. I was midway in flopping back down when the door suddenly opened, making me do an awkward attempt to get back up which made me look like a dolphin flopping on its back.
Forrest's eyes met mine. My breath hitches at how attractive he is. I've actually always been slightly attracted to him but his distance with the rest of the pack kinda made me give up for anything deeper.
"Axel...", he immediately rushed to my side. He was holding a large tray with lots of plates and his rushing made him nearly spill the contents.
"Axel, do you feel better now? Do you feel sick? Nauseous? Dizzy? Tired? Sore? Any pai-"
"I'm fine, what's that?", I was smelling the deliciousness from the tray. The plates and bowls were all covered up so I couldn't really tell what's under there except for steak.
He immediately dropped all his questions and gently placed the large tray on my lap.
"I don't really know what you like to eat or don't like so I cooked up different dishes just in case.", he was looking at the tray.
I guess he's thinking the same thing: we barely know anything else about each other.
He quickly snapped out of it and reached over to uncover each dish.
"Well, there's steak, here's a bowl of fruits, some vegetables, umm....I cooked each egg differently since I don't know how you prefer it or if you even like eggs at all...umm here's the soups: clam chowder, tomato soup, and mushroom soup is all we have. And...", I watched in awe as he uncovered each dish and finally moving on to uncover the last one, "the sandwiches: there's egg, tuna melt, grilled cheese, and here's the turkey."
I was still staring and I couldn't stop despite my raging hunger.
"W-wow...this is...Forrest, thanks..!", I turn to him, "have you eaten already?"
"No, I'm not hungry,", his stomach growls, "I'll eat later.", he avoids eye contact, probably embarrassed.
I silently chuckle. He's so cute.
"Forrest, you're eating with me."
His eyes snapped back to mine. He was about to protest but then all of a sudden his face lights up and he agreed, blushing slightly.
I grinned, not really understanding but whatever.
When he wasn't making any motion to eat I, guessed he was waiting for me. With a "oh!" I scooted to the left and patted the room I made next to me.
He gently sat down and continued to wait. I glimpsed at him before I took the egg sandwich and hungrily devoured it. I was reaching for the tuna melt when I realized he still wasn't moving. I looked at him and found him watching me with soft eyes, which made me nervous.
I took the tuna melt, "Forrest?".
"Ye-MPH!", I stuffed the tuna melt in his mouth and just left him to figure it out as I went for the clam chowder.
Soon after, he was munching on the sandwich as I gulped down the soup. After he finished the sandwich I knew he was gonna just wait again.
Wait...this is my chance to feed him!! Well, in a more romantic manner...
I look at Forrest from the corner of my eyes and looked away when he caught me. I looked at the food and decided to grab the turkey sandwich.
"Hey,", I hold out the sandwich, "Wanna share this one?"
Forrest
"Wanna share this one?"
I felt my chest tighten as he held out the sandwich.
My mind had been racing with ideas and fantasies of how our first date-kinda-thing would turn out.
Yeah, I considered it a date. And yeah, I had been waiting for him to feed me.
I looked at the sandwich that was sadly unbitten by him, and took a bite. I knew I had a slight blush when he did the same, but he, on the other hand, was completely red. We did this back and forth around 3 times but he didn't look at me again. So this time when he held out the sandwich, I waited for him to look at me and when he did (with adorable curiosity) I grinned and took a bite. I didn't know it was possible but he blushed even more.
He slowly retracted his hand to finish the sandwich off, "Geez...", was all he said.
We chatted here and there. He commented on the color of my room and I admitted the color relaxed me.
Though it was a quiet little brunch, I loved it. It's simple yet it means so much to me. This must be what the Alpha was talking about: even the little things are the best of moments.
It must've been half an hour and by then we were finished with the food. I place the tray and dishes downstairs in the kitchen sink and rushed back upstairs to him. Even though I know he wouldn't leave me, a voice in the back of my mind kept telling me he's going to leave and never come back.
Though I rushed to my bedroom door, I stopped and gently opened the door as if I never rushed. I found Axel hovering over my desk, and I could tell he was debating whether he should open one of my sketchbooks or not before he turned to me. It was adorable how curious and impatient he was.
"Oh, Forrest!" He gently touches the sketchbook which made something inside me flutter with joy, "Umm, what are these?"
"You can go ahead and look through them,", I say as I walk towards him, "You can do whatever you want in my room.", I snake my arms to hold his waist as I stood behind him, chin on his shoulder. His scent was like an aphrodisiac.
"G-geez..!", I felt him heat up, "Well, I guess the same goes for you in my room...cuz you know...just to be fair and all!"
My eyes widened in surprise. He was really tempting me. He doesn't have a clue what I want to do to him.
I groan in frustration as I bury myself at the crook of his neck. Meanwhile, he was gasping in awe at my drawings. I look up and saw he turned to the page with one of my recent ones: it was the earth in a corked bottle being held by a woman with a key dangling from her necklace, a small chest opened beside her.
"Forrest!! You are sooo amazing!! Holy-!", he turned to face the bookshelves, "So those are all drawing books too?!"
I turn my head to look at the bookshelf, "Yeah, over the years."
Axel was literally bouncing in excitement, "And you said I could do anything right?!".
I nodded. I swear his eyes were sparkling as he quietly awed at the bookshelf.
"So I can..."
"Knock yourself out."
"YEES!! Thaaank yoouu!!", he screamed as he ran to the sketchbooks. I didn't mean to make it sound like that, but he's happy so whatever.
He handled them delicately as if they were glass. I watched him for a moment before remembering what the Alpha told me before she left to give us space:
"He doesn't have to train today. Just, take your time for today, get to know each other better. You'll start training him again tomorrow, same as yesterday's."
I knew the Alpha was scared about me finding my mate. She didn't want to lash out at either of us. She did, after all, lose her mate. Never again was she the same. Still acts like an Alpha, yes, but now she's a bit insane. She doesn't like seeing mates together, which got her staying indoors away from even her pack more often.
Thinking about it made my heart ache. I was still watching Axel as he looked at one book at a time, slowly creating a pile beside him. I couldn't help but smile at the sight. I walk over to sit by him and he asked me various questions. I usually hated people questioning about my art, but Axel is an exception.
He always is.
