Lu Beichuan, having his breathing under control, listened carefully to anything coming from his cellphone.

Nevertheless, the hallway in the hotel was empty and the other end of the cellphone was very quiet. He couldn’t make out much.

After a long while, Lu Shaoyan’s chuckle came over again. “I want nothing as I know that you won’t give me anyone. As such, I want to play a game with you.”

“Lu Shaoyan!”

“Don’t be mad. It’s just a game. A game that Zhouzhou wants to play as well.”

And the call was disconnected.

Lu Beichuan received a text on his cellphone and he hastened his pace.

A series of uniformed footsteps came from behind him.

“Mr. Lu, we are the security team of this hotel. Please don’t worry. We have already designated someone to check the hotel’s security footage. We will locate young sir for sure!”

The responsible person of the hotel followed closely behind Lu Beichuan as sweat poured down his forehead.

Lu Beichuan frowned deeply and did not say a word. The aura radiating from him was intimidating.

Lu Shaoyan, on the other side, looked down at Zhouzhou and smiled after he hung up on the phone. “Your daddy is coming to look for you now. Do you want to know how long it will take him to find you?”

Zhouzhou looked at him quietly and did not say anything.

Lu Shaoyan squatted down and looked Zhouzhou straight into his eyes. He stroked him on his head and saw the clear look in him. “What’s the matter?”

“Uncle, do you really only want to play a game?”

The two of them looked at each other for ten or so seconds before Lu Shaoyan looked away and said in a forced delighted tone, “What else could it be? As I have said before, this is just a game. Didn’t you say that Daddy likes you a lot? And that he will find you quickly?”

Zhouzhou nodded.

Lu Shaoyan picked him up. Zhouzhou wrapped his arm around his neck. He was not afraid of Lu Shaoyan.

“Uncle, have you played similar games with your daddy in the past?”

Lu Shaoyan slowed his steps from Zhouzhou’s question, but he quickly recovered. Smiling casually, he said, “Yeah, a couple of times.”

“Did Uncle’s daddy find Uncle?”

Lu Shaoyan thought about the past carefully, smiled, and shook his head. “No, he failed both times.”

Zhouzhou let out a surprised cry. “How come he didn’t find you? Did Uncle’s daddy…” His voice became lower as he looked carefully at Lu Shaoyan.

“One time Uncle was saved by the police and the other time… Uncle hid away purposefully, and therefore, Uncle’s daddy was not able to find Uncle.”

“Why did Uncle hide away?” asked Zhouzhou, leaning against his shoulder, in a low voice. “If Uncle didn’t hide away, for sure Uncle’s daddy will be able to locate Uncle!”

An indescribable smile appeared on Lu Shaoyan. “Is that so?”

“Of course! Uncle, I am sure you daddy was worried sick when he was looking for you, much like how my daddy is worried sick right now!”

“Do you know who Uncle’s daddy is?”

“Who?”

“Uncle’s daddy is your Great-grandpa.”

“Great-grandpa?!” Zhouzhou’s eyes widened as he looked at Lu Shaoyan. He pondered over it but couldn’t quite figure it out. “Great-grandpa is Daddy’s daddy. And Great-grandpa is your daddy. Why is it that my daddy is also called Great-grandpa’s grandson? But you are Uncle and Daddy is Daddy…”

Lu Shaoyan laughed and said, “Alright. You are not that smart to begin with. Stop thinking about it if you can’t figure it out.”

Zhouzhou wanted to rebut him that he was actually very smart, but he stopped himself when he saw the look on Lu Shaoyan.

He might be young, but he could tell that Uncle was very sad right now. But why was he sad? Was it because they brought up Uncle’s daddy?
