148 Love is love

“You didn’t teach me how to do it. So what if she loses a couple of hairs. It’s not like she will get alopecia,” replied Yi Youxi causing the two people to look in the direction of the lounge.

“You don’t know that! Let go of her!” yelled Ming Ming and a second later sounds of rustling and tussling could be heard. They were obviously fighting over doctor Kitty.

Lin Ruoxi grimaced hearing that. She pointed at the lounge with her thumbs while saying, “How about you take care of that problem while I make the call?”

Yi Chen had no qualms with that. He walked over to the lounge and separated the two saving doctor Kitty from an untimely death. While he was doing that Lin Ruoxi had someone pick up the torn shark plushy for an operation.

Meanwhile, Yi Chen had now taken up the responsibility of being Ming Ming’s playmate. When Lin Ruoxi came back she overheard Ming Ming saying, “No, doctor kitty should end up with nurse Mike. She is a girl and he is a boy.”

But Yi Chen had his own ideas. He took doctor Kitty and paired her up with doctor Minnie before saying, “Why can’t they be together? Doctor Minnie bought her breakfast every day and she takes care of her when she is sick.”

“But daddy is a boy and mummy is a girl so Kitty can only be with nurse Mike,” she explained while scratching her head.

“It doesn’t matter.... Love is love. If Kitty loves Minnie she will be with Minnie and if Kitty loves Mike then she will be with Mike. It’s as simple as that,” explained Yi Youxi who had gotten back to his game.

Lin Ruoxi silently leaned against the wall while watching her two sons explain the concept of love to her youngest. She couldn’t have said it better. Love is love regardless of gender.

It was her fault for assuming that Yi Chen would fall in love with a girl and get married. It was negligence on her part. It’s a good thing she noticed before it was too late.

Her motto was simple. As long as you are happy and not hurting anyone then go for it. She wanted the same thing for her son thus she wasn’t resistant to it.

“Oh.... okay. Then can we have a wedding? I will be the wedding planner,” she said before pulling out the wedding planner app on her light brain.

Yi Chen found this amusing. He chuckled before asking, “Does Ming Ming want to be a wedding planner when she grows up?”

Ming Ming smiled happily before saying, “Yes.... I will plan my two dage’s weddings and whatever my in-laws say goes.”

“Ha! Who says I am going to get married,” said Yi Youxi.

Ming Ming, “...”

“You are going to get married whether you like it or not,” she replied being as unreasonable as she could get.

“You can’t tell me what to do,” said Yi Youxi deliberately aggravating Ming Ming. He could have agreed just to appease her but he didn’t. Thus the two people began to fight it out again. Such is the drama between two siblings.

“Uh uh stop fighting.... Don’t worry Ming Ming, I will make sure Yi Youxi gets married and you will be the wedding planner,” said Lin Ruoxi ending this feud that was about to escalate into a full blown war.

She walked over and sat on the floor opposite Yi Chen. Her lips moved hesitantly and after thinking it through she said, “You know you can tell me anything.”

Yi Chen who was fixing doctor Minnie’s hair paused his actions and looked up only to find that his mother was looking at him.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

It seemed her sentence just now was referring to him.

His eyes narrowed wondering what she knew. Why on earth would she say such words out of the blue? She must know something, the only problem was how much she knew. With a slight nod, he lowered his head thoughts unknown.

As a wedding commenced in one household, an interrogation was happening in the next. The only good thing was that the interrogation was happening with a piece of cheesecake as a torture method.

Zi Feiji placed a piece of pumpkin cheesecake in front of Zi Han before saying, “Grandpa worked very hard to make this and I would love for you to eat it..... I just have one question.”

Zi Han who was ready to sell out anyone for a piece of cheesecake took the fork and he was about to eat it when Zi Feiji continued saying,

“Who is your friend that you were hanging out with after school?”

With a clank, the dessert fork dropped on the plate and he looked up to his grandpa. There was no way he was telling him who he was with.

Zi Feiji saw the stubbornness in Zi Han’s eyes thus he pulled up the can of whipped cream and with a whoosh he sprayed it on top of the cheesecake tempting this little grandson of his who had a sweet tooth.

Zi Han, “.....”

“Isn’t this overkill?” he asked while reaching over with his finger to scoop up some of that whipped cream.

Zi Feiji smacked that hand away before saying, “Why are you keeping that friend a secret. It’s not like I would do anything to them..... I just want to know who my grandson will be hanging out with from now on?”

Zi Han shook his head in refusal. The cheesecake looked good but he wasn’t willing to sell his soul for cheap.

“I mean if you don’t tell me then I will just eat this wonderful piece of pumpkin cheesecake all by myself,” said Zi Feiji as he pulled the dessert plate towards himself.

Zi Han, “QAQ!!”

Twenty minutes later he sent Yi Chen a string of messages expressing his dissatisfaction.

HandsomeHan: You owe me cheesecake.

HandsomeHan: Not just any cheesecake but pumpkin cheesecake.

HandsomeHan: With whipped cream.

When did he owe Zi Han a piece of cheesecake? What changed within the past couple of hours? And can somebody tell him where he was going to buy such an unusual flavor of cheesecake?
