Chapter 395
The Assassin's Enemy Lover
395 ....you hit my wife.â
If the girl who posted it knew this video of hers would blow up on StarNet in less than an hour she most definitely wouldnât have posted it, especially when she read some of the harsh comments and the headlines the major broadcasters put while reporting this unusual discovery. If she knew that the person the future Marshal was kissing was a wanted criminal she wouldnât have posted it.
Everything spiralled out of control and now there were people calling for the Yi family to be stripped of all the power they had over the military. Thatâs because instead of apprehending the person who killed a prime minister live, he was instead kissing them. This went against every law in the federation.
Yes, sure there were some people who didnât think what Zi Han did was wrong. In fact, they commended him for handing a death sentence to the person who killed their beloved prince. Thus they didnât see the problem with Yi Chen not arresting Zi Han regardless of what type of relationship they had.
As the tide went in Zi Hanâs favour it steered back to the starting point with the discussion on vigilantism popping up. If everyone had the same mindset as Zi Han wouldnât society as they know it collapse?
If everyone was unilaterally taking justice for themselves going after the people that wronged them handing down a sentence they dim fit wouldnât the entire world order fall? Things became heated with opposing sides fighting against each other.
The marshal and even Zi Xingxi tried to take this discussion off StarNet but the topic was just too explosive that no matter how many times it was erased it would pop up again like a urinary tract infection (UTI) stubbornly clinging to oneâs kidneys. It wouldnât leave until it was done making the hostâs life a living hell.
The Marshalâs light brain was going off with so many people including prime ministers, generals and reporters wanting to talk to him. He decided to find the culprit thus he tracked Yi Chenâs car which led us to this moment in time.

The men standing behind the Marshal couldnât help but flinch as the second slap echoed in the parking bay.
.....
An eerie silence filled the air with a suffocating tension making everyone very uncomfortable like something bad was about to happen.
Yi Chenâs chest rose and fell his eyes bloodshot as he glared at his father with killing intent. He looked like he was on the verge of exploding and how couldnât he? His lover had just suffered a great injustice because of him.
Zi Han touched his burning cheek his eyes red with a slight tear at the corner of his eye. He wasnât touching Yi Chen but he could clearly perceive his emotions that is the dark and hostile feelings being exuded from his body.
Zi Han reached over behind him to touch Yi Chenâs hand and calm him down but he only touched air.
Thatâs because Yi Chen had passed him like a gust of wind and did the unthinkable. He actually attacked his father. With a powerful fist, he swung it to punch his father but the Marshal blocked his advance grasping his fist.
Yi Chen looked like he was about to risk it all. He engaged his mental power and struck his father with his other fist hitting him squarely in the face.
The Marshal who didnât think his son had caught up with him in terms of strength staggered back a few feet while rubbing the blood off his split lip.
His body trembled as he pointed at Yi Chen with a shaky finger. âYou!....â he said his hoarse voice quavering.
Yi Chen flexed his fingers before clenching them tightly like he was ready to hit him again. His eyes turned murderous as he said, âYou hit him... you hit my wife
.â
Zi Han, â???â
The Marshal clenched his jaw glowering at this unfilial son that had picked infatuation over his family. âYou have lost your fuckin mind,â said the Marshal his expression dark but his heart was breaking into a million pieces.
Yi Chen could care less about his fatherâs feelings. He lunged forward with so much aggression that scared the Marshal half to death. No matter how hard he tried to suppress Yi Chen, he was like a rabid dog attacking relentlessly like he wouldnât rest until his opponent stopped moving. The Marshal soon realised that he wouldnât be able to subdue his son unless he involves his men and bring this conflict to an end.
âWhat are you all staring at? Stop him,â he said and the personnel who didnât want to involve themselves in family matters were forced to intervene which they really didnât want to. The two of them were honestly equally scary.
The moment he said Zi Han didnât seem to settle well with that idea. Like the men standing around them, he knew that intervening would only make things worse. Unless if they go too far this was a very much necessary thing in their relationship. Sometimes you need to vent it all out to feel better. But the moment Marshal Yi involved other people Zi Han couldnât stand still.
He engaged his mental power and a livid phoenix burst forth tossing the men a few feet away.
No one talked about it but at that moment they knew something new about the Bloodgarde leaderâs son. It was a secret worth killing for.
The Marshal glared at Zi Han but the person himself didnât even bother looking at him. He was much more concerned for his boyfriend. Annoyed half to death the Marshal decided to knock his son out otherwise this fight might escalate to irreparable heights.
He took out a patch from his interspatial storage and plastered it on his sonâs neck. Yi Chen who was elbowing his father in the gut trying to free himself from the chokehold suddenly felt weak and when his father released him he collapsed to the floor but before he could hit the floor Zi Han caught him letting him rest his chin on his shoulder.
Zi Han gently stroked Yi Chenâs hair while whispering, âitâs okay... I am here, okay.â
